  1. You guys happy with how hard USF is hitting Tampa? I'm neither a disgruntled father, nor a coach. Helluva wall we're building around it Tampa. Do you know any players or coaches in the area? If you do, you know their opinion.
  2. Total steal for USF. His HS didn't do much to help him get pub. He didn't attend any camps. He's legit.
  3. Had a ton of big offers before USF got involved. Makes sense he's from Tampa. He has real issues catching the ball though. Big and moves well.
  4. He's a baller. Fast and great arm. Should seriously look at him, but USF isn't showing much love. Another local kid being recruited harder by out of town teams.
  5. Really good athlete, good height and very smart. Needs to gain serious weight.
  6. This ship has sailed. USF was made very aware of him a year ago and never heard of him. He had no offers at the time. He's blown up and mom wants him out of the area.
  7. That kid's dad played linebacker at USF for Leavitt. USF showing no real interest. My guess is UCF or Purdue. Don't know why USF doesn't work The Bay harder.
  8. That kid isn't even solid for Sickles. He tried going to TC, that became a mess. His dad wanted Gaither and his mom took him to Sickles. Malik Henry just left IMG. If they don't take Jack Allison out of Palmetto, I wouldn't be surprised if Chris goes there. If he does, all bets are off.
  9. I know Plies and he's a good guy and great father of 3. He doesn't live in Wesley Chapel, he lives in New Tampa. Whatever you google about him is a character he plays on stage/screen. He's a quiet and respectful person in real-life. His kids are unbelievably model children and his son is off the charts athletically. All I can say is, if he's around the program, it's a GREAT thing. He's got serious street cred and the way he conducts himself in real-life would be a great thing for our players to get to see and emulate.
  10. Don't be surprised if it's White over Bench. Apparently, they think he could be special.
  11. Went to Wharton's spring game last night and their RT looks like a beast. He seems to be 6-3"-6-4" and 250-260 with great technique. Btw, he's a sophomore. When run blocking, he took his man where he wanted to like the DE was a sled and his pass blocking footwork looked very good. Get on him now USF!
  12. Scholarship athletes use Pell grant money as extra "walk-around" money. It would be a big sacrifice to ask a kid to use his Pell Grant for what it was intended to be used for. Wouldn't have to do that at other schools.
  13. Can anyone explain to me how the recruitment was shady? Maybe just sour grapes? Hell yeah it was shady! Bruce Pearl was involved, that's all you need to know.
  14. Good for Greenberg. Stephen Jackson never played college ball due to his academics.
  15. Do you think it's silly that kids with academic scholarships need to maintain a certain GPA or lose their aid? Maybe they should unionize.
  16. Actually, his 3FG% is so bad and he took so many, that it throws is overall FG% off more that usual. Back out his 3's and he shot 53% from the field. What's odd is his FT% is pretty decent to shoot so poorly from 3. My guess is, he's a pretty decent 3-point shooter in practice and that's why he's allow to shoot that many in games, but his shot selection is probably lacking.
  17. My bad. I realized I was counting Bodway after I posted, but was too lazy to edit it at the time. To be clear, scholarships are given on an annual basis. There is no 4-year athletic scholarship. The school either renews your scholarship annually or not. Jupiter, his end of the "contract" is that he participates with the team each year he is given a scholarship. Obviously, the intent is to have an athlete in your program for 4 years, but if they fail to perform up to the required standards, it's fairly common that they are asked to look for another place to continue their athletic career. Who's to say that Coach O didn't have that talk with some of the guys that are transferring this year. Calipari/O got to Kentucky and told 7 returning players on that team that they were free to stay at UK, but they would never see the floor if they did. Six transferred.
  18. I think it's a bit of a moot point because there's no need for his scholarship right now. So far, we've only got 11 scholarship players for next year including the 4 current signees/commits. I doubt Coach O will use his limit. Although Omegbehin has 2 years of eligibility left, next year will be his 4th year at USF. We've more than held up to our end of the bargain. Btw, kids have to hold up to their end of the bargain too. I'm not saying Jordan hasn't, but kids transfer all the time because they find out they can't play at the level they thought they could. If he was told to pack his bags tomorrow, it wouldn't affect recruiting much, if at all.
  19. Kentucky looks like they might be the new Louisville when it comes to recruiting FL. We'll surely be battling them for players, but I'm just thrilled that WE are recruiting FL again.
  20. Today, his dad told Kentuckysportsradio.com that Derek is 100% returning to UK.
  21. Wow, the guy doesn't miss and he dunks half of his field goal attempts! Sign him up.
  22. He's the son of former Kentucky player Jonathan Davis. Kid can play, but many people think his family is more focused on picking a school based on academics versus basketball.
  23. No violations involved, it's just recruiting. We just haven't seen much of it in a while.
  24. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kentucky senior, Jon Hood as GA. He's been at UK for 5 years and was part of Cal and Orlando's first class there.
