  1. Wikipedia may not be the most accurate source. However, when trying to quickly find information about the university; Wikipedia seems to be very out of date (content, photos, sources, etc...). I personally took the liberty to update our academic rankings the moment US News & World Report released the 2012 figures. In conjunction, I fixed a few disconnected links. Another person went ahead and added new photos of the university to the main article. While it was a good effort, many of the photos have just been randomly placed. If you happen to come across Wikipedia pages about another school on the other side of I-4; you will notice that they went to great lengths to detail and document their school and achievements. So, I am just wondering: How does everyone on TBP feel about this? Waste of time, or an endeavor that we should correct? I do envy envy the big 3 (and even UCF) for their pride. 2. Tonight is a nice Friday evening; does anyone know where I can find any other full USF games online?
  3. There is always the FSU @ USF game on YouTube! The first half is fun to watch! :-) Just make sure to turn it off half way through the third. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtpF27AQjuE
  4. This 'rivalry' is for the benefit of UCF more so than South Florida. I am more concerned with improving over the last two seasons. Our first priority is consistency. In a weaker conference, we should be moving forward and establishing ourselves as a stand alone power. Publications acknowledge that we have the talent and CWT may provide the direction. We should be in the pole position in our conference (in the coming years). The next step is moving into the Power 5 - with or without UCF. The 'rivalry' may help us, but it may also hold us back. And let us not forget, games against Miami or FSU - fill our stadium more than games against UCF.
  5. The War on I-I-4! By the way, if you're not familiar with the term - and you just take a look at the web address... It reads: Waroni 4.
  6. It looks like a site for all the new UCiF statements when we beat them this fall. IF... IF... IF...
  7. Some of ya'll view UCF as our rival. From that perspective, it may be the most important match up of the season. But, if you look back at USF's relatively short Football history, our biggest games were against the tougher opponents. For the four seasons that we faced UCF, it was fun to add another victory to our roster. But the games that USF fans (not UCF fans) REALLY cared about -- were the games against Miami, FSU, Rutgers, and West Virginia. For the 2013 season, we WANT to beat Louisville and Rutgers, but we DON'T want to lose to SMU, UCF, or Temple. Think of it this way, I don't remember ever camping out for tickets to a UCF - USF game.
  8. 7 / 10 - It has all the right features of an aggressive college logo.
  9. Well, Rutgers would have been a potential rival (if they were stuck in the old-big east). They felt very proud of themselves back in 2007 and locked us into Thursday games. UCF is bringing in a strong offense this year; so they may potentially spark a competition. If they lose to us in our rebuilding year ( 5 - 0 ), then I can not see how this is a rivalry. It may seem that FSU/Miami may be our best opportunity.
  10. This may be a very dumb question: Do universities, such as Harvard, Princeton, Yale, etc., offer fully online degrees? If so, maybe there is something to University of Phoenix Florida's online degree program.
  11. Yeah. Hopefully the right part. The Big East took USF over UCF. That's all the proof I need to know we're still ahead of them. There is no more them and us... per that friendship agreement we inked with UCF this past season, we are now married at the hip... USF/UCF is now an army of two. What is with all the UCF and USF sentiment. We do not need our markets tied together. We don't need to rely on our close geography to produce a profitable television deal. If we focus our attention on that Orlando campus, we will only be stunting our long term growth. I understand the situation that we are in now: left behind in a dying conference that just raked through CUSA out of desperation. We just merely need to win. Win games. Win games throughout the season, beat the folks over at UCF, beat our rivals in the Northeast, and win championships. Only then, will large conferences recognize us as a valuable program. No need to carry UCF into any sort of spot light for short-term gratitude or recognition. Building a strong program takes time, from what I understand.
  12. Top Comment from ESPN: " ACC- They almost took our name! AAC- They took our conference! CUSA- They took our jobs! "
  13. Sorry, but I am new here - so this topic may have already been discussed. The sports section of Miami Herald has some very promising views on Mike White! Check it out: http://www.miamiherald.com/2013/01/29/3207422/mike-whites-usf-pledge-has-a-storybook.html Let me know what ya'll think!
  14. This is a lot better than their (93.3 FLZ) first attempt.
