  1. Visiting the site more, and here's my first post since May... so there is that I suppose. I'm being cautious about this year -- not even cautiously optimistic -- just waiting to see what happens and hoping for the improvement everyone has been waiting for. Will be streaming the game as always.
  2. Tough when one so young had to struggle and lose this battle, must have been very difficult for him and his family. I lost my old man to a gilioblastoma last year, those tumors are insidious, very hard to beat, and (in my eyes) are pure bundles of evil. Know some of what they are going though. Hopefully he helped raise some awareness on this awful disease though his involvement with USF. Condolences to his family and the team.
  3. I don't know, from a business point of view, this is the most damning evidence I've seen with proving just how much we lost with the AAC. These are not statistics, these are balance sheet numbers. Two years or not, one with CFP, a loss in 45% revenue is huge, especially if you lay this on top of what the other conferences gained. I'd not want to present that line chart to the university presidents. Now I don't agree that this reflects entirely on us and that the future is written in stone... but it sure does not help.
  4. Wow dude. I live in the ATL. Been to tons of road games. Sure hope you get to one Yeah, life, work, and kids gets in the way. I'll get to one next year I hope, this or another.
  5. Playing at ECU, nice. Might finally get to a game 20 years after graduating. Easy trip from the ATL.
  6. I'd not let him get out of the parking lot. My Sooner buddy who follows the Bulls out of sympathy seems to think its -almost- impossible, but our numbers on O are too close to SMU for comfort -- both bad.
  7. I'm in the same boat. I'm sick of losing, but even more tired of watching bad football. Hell, my 8 year-old daughter watched a little of the game and said, "Dad, I don't think our team is very good." And that was before the score went out of control.
  8. Taggart was hired because he came into WKU, a team that had lost 20 games in a row, and his second year there won 7 games. Certainly USF wasn't that bad when he came and he is recruiting better here in 2 years then Kentucky. But you look at his two winning seasons at WKU, half his wins, 7 of 14, were by 1 score and 4 were OT wins. I'm not reassured. I seem to recall this concern at hire, so not really surprised where we are right now. I think he gets another year, mostly because we can't keep paying coaches that are not here and he seems to recruit well. Though I have to admit, I've not done a cost analysis of revenue loss due to low tickets sales vs. another coach on the payroll. I wager someone on the AD's staff is doing that exact thing -- I know I'd order it. Then again, if he loses to SMU after the bye, all bets are off.
  9. Hope to make it to a game before then, but at least this one is in my backyard. The scary thing is its so far off, a house divided is a strong possibility. Will be about the time my oldest will be deciding where he goes.
  10. Right up until that last fumble, we hung in there. This was the first game I watched in ages that I did not feel aggravated the whole time. It was, what's the word? Oh yeah, FUN to watch. Hoping for better games to come.
  11. **** finally caught up to live on the DVR. Hell of a game so far, but that hurt.
  12. Even if it is just for today, its nice to be at the top of the American Standings. URL for proof, feel free to ignore if you don't want to give ESPN clicks. http://espn.go.com/ncf/conferences/standings?confId=151&year=2014
  13. The drops were bad... White looked much better since the O-line gave him more time. That INT was just bad. The delayed handoff was the best play we ran all game, should have done that in a few more 3rd and long situations.
  14. I'm done... going to change out of my gear and get some dinner before my stomach turns any more. Can't believe there is another quarter left.
  15. Its the only reason I'm still watching. Will the stubbornness break?
  16. There may not be anyone left at the ATL watch party. Just go to a different Mellow Mushroom and say, "oops, we went to the wrong one by accident." Either that or just change my shirt and go get pizza. Its a mile from my house, so another MM would not make sense.
  17. The way it's going, he may be lucky to get one more year. I think he will, but two years is looking bleak. The lack of adjustments is going to doom him. Sticking with White, etc... he needs to use the tools he has.
  18. Man my kids still want to go get pizza at the ATL watch party. I'm not sure I want to subject them to other bulls fans
  19. I just realized I'm still recording this game while watching it... click
