    This is ESPN's biggest Friday game. The biggest non P5 rivalry and the biggest non P5 game. This is the showcase of the best G5 talent. Flowers vs. Milton set the bar. ESPN will not allow it to be cancelled. You know how doesn't cancel their games? Coastal Carolina!!! Do you want to be worse than Coastal Carolina? No!

    if we aren't going to/able to recruit a QB then Marsh should get the reps. If we are then put Johnson or Fortin in vs. Navy for the hope of getting a conference win. Under no circumstances should McCloud set foot on the field again as a QB.

    There's almost no AAC talent here. And you could argue not much more FBS level talent. It's just the stark reality.

    If that happens you have a contest and pull one of the students out of the stands rather than put McCloud back in, or anyone on the roster who's been behind center and can hand the ball off.

    My only knock on the coaching staff is the love affair with McCloud. Maybe they aren't facing reality of both his talent and the fact that the season is a write off. I can understand they think he might give us the best chance to win but that doesn't matter anymore. He's not the future. Develop someone else.

    Houston had 12 players out. We probably have less than 5 first string AAC players on the roster. Even with a full roster the talent just isn't there.

    If CCS had left us the mellow pot heads they'd be more amenable to being coached up.

    Battie and Dollison will be epic eventually. I don't care who is injured, the season was long dead, so even if CJS thinks McCloud gives us the best chance to win he needs to go with Marsh if the other two are injured to build for the future. Though I'm not sure any QB on the roster is the future, but if we are going to have Marsh around, give him the remaining games if Fortin isn't able to play. On the D side, I don't see anything along the lines of Dollison and Battie.

    Ya, and CJS keeps playing him at QB.

    The denial is strong with some. We have a handful of middle of the road players who can "compete" at the mid level of the conference but it is a blatant fact that CCS left us with players who are not at the level of AAC football. Or maybe even CUSA level.

    Would Tampa fans come out to see a USF team dominate the FCS? It's an interesting question, you have to balance the band-wagon nature of the area vs. the fact that the opponents aren't of interest. Also would this require us playing in the soccer venue?

    The incessant use of McCloud, who is demonstrably not talented enough for this level, especially with this O-line mystifies me. It's my one knock on the coaching staff.

    I also thought he got an extension. I think we are confused in that year 3-5 his salary more than doubled because the Texas subsidy was finished.
