  1. Yup. I get that CJS was left a big pile of toxic poop not even fit for fertilizing but I'm disappointed by how he has handled the QB situation. Don't think it has been fair or beneficial to any of them. At this point with no eligibility lost I say give each QB an entire game going forward and then make a decision after you try to normalize for difficulty of opponent.
  2. That's an acceptable excuse for no improvement in your material. But once you've got your jokes recruited we expect more next year.
  3. At this point I'd say give each one of them a whole game. The season is an exhibition season bust so why not give them each a full game to show what they can do in a rhythm.
  4. The KB stuff was new and fresh but you don't always get such a gift of a guy with a youtube video to post as an example of humorous incompetency.
  5. This season for me is just a chance to watch and see how terrible at everything CCS was while he was here. I'm a firm believer in good coaches/managers tailor a plan for the strengths of their team, but it's obvious the size and talent of this team makes that a moot point. I picked Cinci 42-7, so I'm pleased with the outcome.
  6. Wish we could lawyer up and say he's fired for cause and not pay him. Right there, that man, is exhibit A in everything wrong with big money guaranteed contracts in CFB.
  7. You remind me of Gallagher. Decades later still smashing melons, same old act that might have been amusing once, but wears thin and wondering if there is an audience for it. I guess there still is here since we respond to you. However, that audience is shrinking so I'm gonna advise you to get new material or you will find your audience dwindling even more and you'll be relegated to a lower vaudeville circuit.
  8. Yup. Glad I don't drive to USF every day now. That drive there and home was brutal.
  9. They were all dominant athletes at the level USF was playing at. McCloud sadly is not.
  10. Sometimes you do have to pay when you do the right thing. Integrity isn't fashionable and sometimes costs in this world where the ends justify the means, but thankfully USF and President Genshaft had it.
  11. If he were great, he'd be a head coach again. In big money sports those who are great can be forgiven anything, even murder if you bring championships. I stand by his coaching as fair. Great highs leveled by great lows.
  12. This is what happens when a fair to above average but emotional coach that can motivate well but has known anger issues peter principles when he reaches the Big East, hits a student athlete and rather than admit it, apologize, go to anger management counseling instead chooses to die on that hill.
  13. Ya, even if CCS had implemented a winning system it did not appeal to the fans. He should have been told that early on.
  14. Notre Dame with Charlie's remains. Plus some marginal officiating cost points.
  15. Sun Bowl and Oregon say "Boy, Howdy!" Leavitt teams were great at splashy ranked wins, I will admit that. But down the stretch to finish the conference/season they never did it.
  16. First press conference raised the red flag but it was too late then. If he'd said that in the interview then hiring him was a fireable offense. It's clear he thought the team itself could win the AAC without him doing too much work and take him back to the P5 with his conference championship. He messed it up, he got paid, and we pay for it.
  17. Same. Looked good on paper especially with UT subsidizing the salary. Wow, to think it may have been our worst hire.
  18. At least when he recruits he can tell them "There's a really great chance you start as a freshman."
  19. UCF is going to roll us no matter what. Strong left us without a team.
  20. Frost was a home run and better hire. The, unlike Strong, Mott the Hoople recognized a winning team with a winning system and didn't dismantle it for purely ideological reasons. Great management adjusts to the strengths of the workers rather than making them try to fit a system they aren't suited for.
