Does anyone have insight into what brought the students out for today's game against UCF? It's been a long time since I've seen so many students attend a USF basketball game. Playing a rival and a good start time tell part of the story but I'm guessing there was some marketing that finally clicked to bring everyone out.

As someone mentioned, it's just formulas in a spreadsheet that gets shared with the scorer each year. I made a couple adjustments this year to make the number crunching a little less manual than in year's past which makes it easy to copy+paste the stats for each post.

Congrats to @bcgruber on their first win of the season! The win was powered by being just one of two people to correctly guess the top scorer. No one correctly guessed that Brown would be the leading rebounder as most of us had Durr locked in since even CBG expected him to play as late as 30 minutes before tip off.

We don't know what happened here that caused him to leave the team, do we? We know his departure at LSU was on him screwing up but, unless I missed something, him leaving us is still a mystery.

IIRC, he was in a slump in the back half of last season too.

I've noticed Coach Scott retweeting recruits' tweets like the one at the top of this post. Is this something that the NCAA allows? I've never seen a coach doing such a thing so I'd assumed not.

If you want something < 10 minutes from campus, the non-national chain options are limited. Fuzzy's Taco Shop would probably be my recommendation.

The Armature Works suggestion is great and the route I'd go if you're willing to make the 20 minute drive.

Congrats to @brybull1970 for correctly predicting how miserable we were going to be. Everyone was WAY off on who would score the most points. Durr and Maricevic had the most points with 8 but no one predicted our leading scorer to have fewer than 14 points.

Clemson beat Duke. DePaul ran Butler out of the gym. Now USF beats Houston? It's not happening but this is the only way to jump up the leaderboard.

Stats Through 19 Games:

This staff has been very visible on social media. I'm especially liking the energy coming out of Da Prato (special teams coordinator).

I noticed that only Hillsborough and Pinellas are shaded in on the graphic. Hopefully local coaches in Polk, Pasco, and Manatee counties don't get upset over a two-county focus.

It was close, but @NewEnglandBull got this one for his first win of the season. No one correctly predicted the leading rebounder (Dawson) but most got the leading scorer (Collins). The 70.8% free throw percent played a big role in determining last night's winner. Had the percentage been a flat 70%, the winner would have been @flsportsfan83.
