Got mine, no gift like the football bobbleheads. Oh well.

    No gift, yet.

I got an email from Athletics a few days ago that included the following line:

    Quote

Soon we will release details of an exclusive gift for both USF Basketball programs as another thank you for your support as a season ticket member.

  2. The draft is now over. Unless I missed someone while scanning through the picks, 6 Bulls were picked up:

Quinton Flowers - Tampa Bay Vipers
    Sean Price - Dallas Renegades
    Quinterrius Eatmon - Seattle Dragons
    Deatrick Nichols - Houston Roughnecks
    B.J. Daniels - Seattle Dragons
    Reshard Cliett - Dallas Renegades

Of the players available in the draft pool, the following guys weren't picked up:

    Tyre Mccants
    Eric Mayes
    Jeremi Hall
    Lawrence Martin
    Vincent Jackson
    Devin Abraham
Elkanah Dillon (I know he transferred but he's still a Bull)

I am  well aware of the EEE Mosquito issue happening in the Northeast.  But... Does anyone believe this game was really moved due to the EEE issue or if it was moved because on a national stage neither one of these teams are moving the needle? Just curious.

The on-field performance has nothing to do with this move. The whole area has adjusted schedules to keep people from being outside in the evening.

Its in strongs best interest to work a deal with USF. He is failing hard and will never coach again  save for a low level team as it stands - this is an abysmal fall from inheriting a top 20 taggart team to this. Walk away, recoop, and coach again somewhere else next year. Cause going from 11-2 to 2-10 means your career is over.

His head coaching career may be over but he'd still be wanted as a coordinator. He could leave now or leave at the end of his contract and still be in the same position. Head coaching failure doesn't necessarily translate to failure as a coordinator. Charlie may be the next enrollee in Bama's program for misfit head coaches.

Since this season is basically over, why don't we just bench all the seniors on the O line and let the Fr get a chance to learn on the job.

Especially since the seniors seem to be the biggest problem spots on the line. I thought Atterbury and Norman were effective for us in previous years but they've been letting guys through as easily as the attendants at the doors to the club.

What are you even talking about? There is no way this is part of our culture but it could be. That's my point...would be a very sad day. Stop trying to make 'fetch' happen...it's not happening.

You're saying it isn't part of our culture but it's something that actually happens around the program unlike the things you responded with when asked what you think our culture is.

When it's still talked about over a decade later, it's something. Maybe not culture since you seem allergic to the idea of that but something.

This is a weird thing. Every team has lots of weird traditions that fit into their own culture but they are usually interesting...if we don't stop this one soon, it will become part of our culture as well. Same thing with these hideous helmets. They are now part of our culture and people seem to like them (so weird). Our team fell apart when we switched to Adidas from UA. Adidas objectively sucks. Their uniform designs for every team they have are terrible. Their polo's and other gameday fan gear look like rejects from the Bealls Outlet. However, by the time the contract is up, cheap uniforms and gear will be part of our culture. CCS likes mediocrity...by the time he is gone, mediocrity will be part of our culture. Rising up against the 'stronger' teams used to be part of our culture...you could always count on us for at least one upset each year. Now that culture is gone and underperforming against expectations is our new culture. We squandered a good culture and let a bad culture take over. UCF was below us, not even worth having a conversation about as our rivals. Now they are the belle of the ball. Cool uniforms and gameday experience too. They developed weird things that are somewhat cool (to some people I suppose even though I find all of their traditions 'War Flamingo-esque'). The point is, bad things need to be crushed quickly and absolutely. If Robert Barathean ensures Danarys Targaryan is killed when discovered, she never rises to power. A bit of a rambling rant here but we need to stop doing this dumb **** and stop making these terrible decisions. The War Flamingo is a microcosm of the small time ******** that we need to grow out of.

It's been 12 years since we played Auburn and this whole thing started. At this point, I think it's part of the culture (a very small part of it). The only way to stop it would be to get the flamingos banned from the stadium. Until something like that happens, the flamingo hats and inflatables will continue to be hot pink dots in the stands.
