  1. I think Skip is way ahead of you. I can't believe he would actually laugh something like that off. It's amazing that the players on this team are showing the effort they have when that is the sort of attitude your supposed leader projects.
  2. I remember when we used to berate UCiFers for threads like this.
  3. This should finally get us ranked in the Moral Victories poll. I'm sure if Skipbot could feel human emotions he'd be ecstatic.
  4. No thanks. His entire career has been garbage outside of one all-time great year from Newton. His record at Iowa State was pitiful too.
  5. Floyd is not the future. This coming from someone that thinks BJD is the answer... Lets give Floyd a chance. Excuse me? When have I ever said that? The most I've ever said is he takes a lot of undeserved grief. I think he has done about as much as can be expected with the coaching he has received.
  6. The similarities are uncanny. Get ranked, promptly lay an egg.
  7. Please no. Texas has been way overrated in recent seasons and failed every time. Would be like Leavitt I think, maybe an upgrade over Holtz, but I don't wany anyone fired for poor perforamce, I'd rather bring someone up for good performance. I know Holtz was a dud but it happens. Oh, I agree. He's a terrific recruiter who can't consistently get his teams to live up to their potential. It took one transcendent year from a QB who it turned out was so uncoachable even Mack couldn't ruin him for him to finally win his title. I just figured I'd jump on the absurd caching suggestions bandwagon.
  8. Mack Brown might be looking for work in a few hours. I kid. But seriously, he might be.
  9. Whatever. Make some real, positive changes on your staff now and quit bringing your BFFs on as coordinators.
  10. we're about as rank as we can get I wish I shared your optimism.
  11. Also, for all the fantastic recruits he bought, errr brought into UNC the product on the field was always a pretty substantial disappointment.
  12. More importantly in the case of Davis, he doesn't know how to run a clean program to save his life. Leaving for a better job is one thing. Leaving a program in smoldering ruins is another.
  13. I was under the impression that he was getting a ridiculous sum of money from UNC still, and the reason he took a non-coaching position with the Bucs was so he could keep getting those checks.
  14. That's fine in theory, but in the specific case of Petrino, it's been abundantly evident at every place he has ever coached that his only interests are himself and his own advancement. The guy is a liar and a flake on a monumental scale.
  15. I'll never understand the Gruden to (insert currently or soon to be vacant college HC position here) rumors or in this case, pipe dreams. Throughout his pro coaching career Gruden has shown zero ability to evaluate and develop young talent. He has also been awful at developing and maintaining good player-coach relationships which one would think would hinder recruiting. On top of that he barely trusts fifteen year veterans with his offensive system while showing zero willingness to adjust said system for young talent. All of that is fine if you have a veteran pro team looking for the final spark to get over the hump, but seems like a recipe for disaster at the college level.
  16. I hear he can be had for the low low cost of a Harley and a membership at AshleyMadison. com. In reality I want Skipper gone as badly as anyone but we need a coach who has a passion for USF football. Not one whose only passion is himself.
  17. Honestly, I don't care. I know what another year with the Skipper at the helm is going to do this program, and that's far more worrisome.
  18. I'm not sure exactly what I screamed, but my reaction was enough that my French Bulldog who was asleep next to me on the couch jumped straight up about a foot in the air. She started barking and running in circles around the TV room at breakneck speed, eventually sliding into an end table and knocking a lamp off. My daughter woke up and started crying and the wife walked in and gave me a bone chilling look I won't soon forget. All totally worth it.
  19. Reminds me a little of Trindon Holliday's story. Small back with world class speed and without much in the way of offers. LSU decided to take a chance on him and he turned into a terrific weapon for them. It never hurts to at least kick the tires on a player with that kind of speed.
