  1. man if Tags leaves, I dont know how this team wouldnt feel betrayed. He basically has been touting this whole time he needs to get HIS guys in, and when he FINALLY DOES after 3 years of recruiting, he dips. I REALLY HOPE this is just for leverage.
  2. who is? USF or USC? and how do you know, source?
  3. Given that he is probably considering the possibilities this very moment, it wouldnt hurt to put some fan pressure on him. We need to get Taggart paid, end of story. If we can get him to commit to the program like Tom Herman has to Houston, I think we would finally turn the corner as a program. Point is you dont wanna be cheap and lose out on a great coach because you end up paying for it in the long run (see Skip Holtz)
  4. he got extended in 2012 5 years so 2017. Assuming 2 more years.
  5. We gotta do whatever we can to get him to stay
  6. To play devils advocate, would ANYONE expect Taggart to not take the interview if he was approached??? Not a chance. Never in a million years. So theres that. Hopefully if Tags stays he also takes time to reassure the fanbase! PS I happen to be at the USF library and noticed that Asiantii Woulard is here with another player, and they look in high spirits. Is that because they dont know or because CWT has already spoken to team? Who knows
  7. well.....that was a punch in the gut. id like to believe that Taggart is just playing the game to get a raise and bump up his assistants, man I hope thats the case. Why cant we have nice things?
  8. So under what scenario would it be a PAC 12 team? Who could that team be? And when are we expecting to find out?
  9. Because everyone on this board had their **** together when they were 17/18.....please. You go to college so you CAN grow and BE MENTORED.

If we paid him 3 Million, There are only about 15 SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY that would pay him 4 Million plus. We would effectively lock him up from a money standpoint if 90% of the schools came calling.
  11. Pay him now, why wait until hes a hot commodity and you have to pay something potentially out of your price range because you gotta compete with the market? You pay him 3 Million this year, a P5 school would have to pay him about 4.5 Million Plus to truly make a huge difference in pay. That 4.5 Million threshold could eliminate a lot of the mid tier schools from poaching him and only keep us susceptible to storied programs that pay 5 Million plus. The way I see it, his buddy Jim Harbaugh is set to make 7 Million this year, and that is with years and years of proven success. As his protege I dont think Tags expects anything remotely close to that ball park because he hasnt proved himself to be that valuable yet. So 3 million would be a doable number for USF and IMO more than fair in Taggarts eyes.
  12. Next year, arent we FINALLY done paying Leavitt and Holtz?? I would like to see Tags offered 3 million/yr. we have to commit to greatness on this team. Id rather pay a sure thing 3 million, than a new hire question mark 1.5 M, that could basically become money down the drain. Bottom line we need to lock down Tags and Tom Allen, WHATEVER IT TAKES.
  13. I am hoping that this being his hometown area that would sway him to stay but is that just being too biased? Also tons of schools are hiring new coaches this year so is it probable next year there will be less openings? Does he stay if a middle tier school comes calling like a Virginia Tech/Mizzou/Arkansas? Does he almost certainly leave if a top program like a Texas, FSU, LSU offers? It seems he has what it takes to bring our program to the top but how likely are we to keep him? Thoughts?
  14. Thread should be renamed to Bull Bowl Poll.....just for good measure.
  15. BY THE WAY Taggart Just Tweeted 50 Minutes Ago! Ring, Ring, Ring! Another Great Call For The Bulls. Go Bulls!!! Who could that be???
  16. I know there is a recruiting board but given that now were gonna be full swing on recruiting I thought this was relevant. Anyway who are these guys we are trying to get, supposedly we got about 9-10 spots left in the class. Any of them possibility of starting day one? Anyone have more info and can post links to their scout/rivals?
  17. We don't play in the ccg this year but guess what? It's a lot easier to hold onto your coaches when you're 9-4 than winning the conference and playing in a New Years bowl, a whole lot more buzz and a lot harder to hold guys down. An extra year of this staff together could prove to be really special. Here's hoping we can keep them all!
  18. UCONN definitely matches up well against temple defensively. They are a run stuffing team which is why we had trouble against them and why temple will too. If they can get the ball Rollin on offense I think they can pull out the win. Would say 65/35 temple but those odds are close enough to where a little momentum could swing the game in either direction.
  19. He can take as much as he wants getting paid 4,000 plus a week as a scout player or higher on the roster
  20. I think Tom Allen is as crucial to our program as taggart is if not more at this point. Tom Allen has proved more in his one year here than Taggart has in 3. We gotta do whatever it takes to keep him. make him assistant head coach, double his salary I don't care, you don't get a guy that good walking into your program every day
  21. was it a celebratory ball with the white part to sign on or was it an actual leather game ball that just had his signature on it?
  22. wow what great news! we need our d line to be strong again next year
