    I don't understand the premise of the OP. Conference realignment is not static. This wasn't the last round. Major shifts will continue to happen. Teams move up and get left behind. The rich get richer. The sun will rise tomorrow.

    Exactly. And honestly, I'm okay with it if there is an opportunity to revitalize the area around campus and there is a net benefit to the university (not clear yet obviously). If one were to speculate at potential high dollar investors, I think these companies and their board members would be a good place to start: Portfolio — Weatherford Capital

    I’d expect we’d hear from them today after the expansion announcement is officially announced. I'm not sure what I’d want to hear, but today should be celebrated by football fans. It marks the first time USF is actually taking tangible steps to invest in the football program (if that’s something you’re into). There’s a long way to go yet, but it’s part of an actual foundation and not just words.
