  1. It was actually October 7th. The whole thing: I hope all has been well since the last time we spoke! I wanted to check-in with you, thank you again for supporting USF Athletics, and personally give you some updates regarding the USF Men’s and Women’s Basketball seasons. Thank you for your continued support and for your patience and understanding as we work through the many challenges to give our student-athletes and coaches an opportunity to compete this year and provide a safe, comfortable and entertaining of an environment as possible for our fans. The current pandemic has created many uncertainties and will necessitate numerous changes for the 2020-21 USF Men’s and Women’s Basketball season, and we know you have many questions. We will attempt to answer many of them now to the best of our ability, and will continue to communicate and provide more answers as soon as we are able to do so. We continue to be in constant communication with the American Athletic Conference and get updates on scheduling and fan attendance. We hope to have that information soon and once we do; we promise you’ll be the first to know. In the meantime, I wanted to reassure you that your investment with USF Basketball is fully protected. We understand the challenges basketball game attendance may present this season and that this may not be the home season many envisioned when they renewed or purchased new season tickets. With that in mind, I wanted to assure you that we will offer contingency plan options to USF Basketball Season Ticket Members. That information will be communicated at a later date once we receive more official word from the AAC. Today, the AAC has announced the scheduling format and timelines for conference play in the 2020-21 American Athletic Conference men's and women's basketball seasons. You can read that update by clicking HERE. We hope to have more news about non-conference scheduling and fan attendance at the Yuengling Center soon. Please continue to reach out to me with any questions. Thank you again for your continued support and GO BULLS!
  2. I discussed this with my rep before we renewed in May. It will be an option, but I’m inclined to just let them keep the money and call it a donation. This is from a blanket email I assume all STHs got: “We understand the challenges basketball game attendance may present this season and that this may not be the home season many envisioned when they renewed or purchased new season tickets. With that in mind, I wanted to assure you that we will offer contingency plan options to USF Basketball Season Ticket Members.”
  3. Just fold the program. Why are we throwing money into this pit? What an embarrassment.
  4. Rotate Marsh and Jordan Smith at this point. What is there to lose?
  5. We all know what happens when you lose an NFL caliber athlete at the QB position. Not too surprising IMO.
  6. My thoughts exactly. Ford and Joiner are elusive and have great vision but I have yet to see either run away from everyone. That leads me to believe NJ needs more carries. Bring back the 3 "RB" sets we used to see with DJ, QF and MM but with Joiner, Ford and Johnson.
  7. I’ll edit this and say the passing game wasn’t ugly, it was just pretty quiet. Like a Prius: quiet and efficient.
  8. Good: defense, specifically LB and safeties. Grier had a crazy stat line and the safeties were making plays against the option and in the secondary. Bad: pressure from DL Ugly: Passing game
  9. If we’re speculating, I suspect it’s the result of an aggressive contact tracing program, if not positive tests.
  10. There was a reason he was the #3 prostyle QB in the country coming out of high school. There was also a reason we brought in Blake Barnett in 2018. All of the QBs on the roster after Flowers graduated were projects. That is evident by what we saw last year.
  11. From the rumor mill: Holiday Hoopsgiving working on bubble event involving multiple games Could this lead to a Kentucky vs. Memphis matchup? This would be a huge SOS bump to get UK, AU, LSU and an additional game with Memphis.
  12. Just read this: Human DNA does not produce a positive result on the RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 The reverse-transcription PCR (RT-PCR) test is the method of choice for detecting...
  13. So maybe we’re at your perception of the pinnacle. Perhaps not everyone has the same perception and experiences that you do and they would disagree. The American is not America. Gotta keep trying to put the more perfect in the Union.
  14. I’m not sure of the answer, but it doesn’t mean we’ve gotten to where we need to go as a society. There’s always room for improvement.
  15. I think the list is more inclusive than that one incident. If and when the team comes out with a statement, I for one will be listening. I’m sure their collective experiences in our society are different from mine.
  16. Projection or not, Jayden Gardner is a safe bet. Good player on a bad team will always fill the stat sheet.
  17. I hate to say it, but UCF is too low. Add CJ Walker in with Collin Smith and a lot of teams are going to have a hard time stopping them.
  18. Pretty sure I’m owed this as a prize from a basketball prediction contest from 2018.
  19. Having in conference games only makes it easier to have consistent preventative protocol across all teams, whatever that preventative protocol may be.
  20. Its been seven months, but Eddie McDoom is still wide open 40 yards downfield.
  21. 6’3” would make him our biggest PG in quite some time.
  22. I don't think this can be overstated. Yetna did two very important things on offense that were sorely missed last year. He could hit the mid range shot and draw defenders out of the paint. This made the dribble penetration game way more effective. He also cleaned up the mess from said shots and put them back in for easy buckets. I believe the offense will be much more fluid this season with not just one but two (as opposed to 0) power forwards that can hit an outside shot.
