Defense all day.
Offense should improve over the course of the year. If these guys still can't tackle I doubt it gets fixed during the season.

I will be seeing it on CBSsports (right???) on Youtube tv. It better be on there since the only reason I am paying 75 dollars a month for Youtube tv is to watch the USF football games that aren't on espn plus .
Its on Hulu Tv as well. Have it recorded for the usual dreaded rewatch.

You haven't heard about the daddies of war? (Wardaddies)
I have, but I try to avoid it. Anyone that uses the word daddy after the age of like 10 gives me creepy pedo vibes.

Will they stop the first play from going for a TD?
Has anyone learned to tackle?
Do they have anyone on the defensive line that can pressure the qb?

Add Army, Air Force and Colorado State and be done with it for now. With all 3 service academies, I'd think we can up ESPN total package to near $10m per team.
I would like to throw up in my mouth if the service academies have a chance...

We REALLY don't want App State apparently
Apparently according to the daily stampede guys they dont want to associate with the AAC for $7 million more a year.

I don't really care I showed you the teams that don't have an on campus stadium and are in power football. If you win big games and win a lot more than you lose you will get moved in. Is the ocs a good thing? If could be to get local support, alumni, and students more interested again. Plenty of crappy teams not in power conferences with an ocs and plenty of teams with more success than usf recently with an ocs still not getting the call up. The ocs doesn't fix winning. You can't move up without winning. It worked for ucf but didn't work for Fau. The difference is the wins on the field, beating top 25 teams, and Big bowl wins against power teams. We need to focus on winning and paving our own path to success on the field.
The question wasn't how many power teams are close to campus. It was how many team have won championships with off campus stadiums.
You lose. Do not collect $200.

Some of the stadiums are close to campus but they are not on campus it seems. There are four FBS squads 15 miles or further from campus these days: The U, UCLA, Texas-San Antonio, and the Huskies as mentioned earlier.

HEROSPORTS.COMCheck out the 23 FBS programs that play off-campus, including four schools that would take you on a 15-mile trek to enjoy a home game.and they won how many national championships? Orange bowl Miami doesnt count.

I think it is both....
In the case of Bama, literally nobody knows who the AD is.
Saban might as well be president and AD.

He has. I am sure any other program would pay him whatever he wanted if he displayed he wasn't happy at Bama or interested in other places.
So you are saying that an AD has the means to keep a coach and not the school?

The AD was still able to maneuver his program to a better conference for the future. AD Mk has kept usf losing in the AAC and people still defend him. I do not understand why people are not calling for him to be fired.
The AD has nothing to do with it is my point. It is like saying the AD of Bama is great bc he kept Saban around.

Well if you notice UTAH football got better after his arrival , he moved them out of a dying pac12 to the big12, and he won AD of the year. What has USF football did since he left and hired Michael Kelly? Whittingham is a good coach and Harlan is a good athletic director. It is a symbiotic relationship that a good coach and good athletic director move a program forward. We have had the opposite effect under Michael Kelly until he proves other wise.
Joining the big12 doesnt mean you were actually good. Ask Colorado. They were just a pawn to deatroy to Pac.

The university of Miami won championships and got called up to the ACC without an OCS. They built a brand by winning. If USF wants to get into a power conference then they need to win on the field. They were smart enough to invest into athletic facilities on campus. Sadly i dont know if any of the current and future USF students will get to experience the magic of beating top25 programs, being in a power conference, and a packed stadium like I got to experience as a student. We keep sucking at the absolute worse times .
Okay name someone other than Miami and Pittsburg.....ill wait.

Wittingham, Gary Patterson and Leavitt....we just canned our guy before P5

UTAH has built a solid football program since Harlan arrived. I do not think it is a coincidence that USF was winning in football under Harlan and went on a nosedive when he left. The coach also has a lot to do with it, but he elevated his results under Harlan. It seems Harlan was able to get more out of his coaches in football.
Utah after Harlan
USF after Harlan with Ad MK
Since Harlan arrived? They have killed it for years with Willingham as coach to join the PAC. Harlan has had nothing to do with their success.

It doesn't matter they are getting paid power money and we are stuck in the AAC. The stadium was rocking when we were winning games in a power conference. The failure was not investing with BIG EAST money in football and firing Jim Leavitt. The people that voted to fire JIm and neglect athletics sent USF Football to the bottom over time.
Doesnt matter bc it is zero? Cmon man every serious team has full on campus facilities minus a couple exceptions that are grandfathered in.

Seems like it hurts now....need to see the trees through the forest.

AN OCS is not a requirement to be a conference champion, a national champion, or even power status. IT is to build support from the students, alumni, and local community. It doesn't help a team win any more games unless you got a solid coach and players that produce on the field.
Ballpark the percent of teams that have those that won national championship or conference championship over the last 100 years?

I am blaming Judy because she did not invest in athletics when we were in the Big East and had momentum. SHe was the face of the university and chose to neglect athletics and fire Leavitt. Both parts of the equation bring us to the bottom of FBS football. The board who went along with it for years under her leadership is also responsible.
It was more than Judy though. Those people need to be exposed bc it crippled this program and the greater Tampa area.

We had the same, or better, facilities when CJL and Willie were here so y'all can keep whining on and about facilities holding us back but it's just a myth. We missed on coaches at the wrong time, plain and simple.
Are stadiums facilities bc we didn't have that?

Some people get exposed vs better coaches. Willingham is a legit coach and Billy puked on himself against Utah talent lol.

Judy started the trend of neglecting athletics for academics to attain AAU Status. We just found out again AAU status does nothing for athletics. SMU isn't AAU status and they are going to the ACC.
Yeah that is the typical answer of blaming Judy, but we had a BOT who approved all this crap

Problem is over the years we've seen OCs have problems being on field vs in box....now they are all out of the box and no one is sitting up top.
Its a recipe for disaster playing a good team in the first game.

I think more independents would be a healthy thing for CFB, but finances are obviously the big question mark.
I would imagine that we could have a better schedule with teams willing to play in front of recruits in Tampa. With better teams brings in more casual fans which would improve attendance.
USF would need to be consistently good which seems almost as impossible as the financing.
