I feel it's the coach's playcalling and lack of adjustments that is our main problem. Besides the secondary, I don't think the defense is that bad. Even with the secondary, I'm seeing way more players out of place than simply getting beat. We have surpassed most of our stats from last year with 3 games remaining. Most of the secondary players are CJS recruits. I see many transferring out this year.

You can't adjust and call plays for talent that you know can't execute those calls. Or maybe you do and you get lit up like the last few games.

Gotta agree. 3 DCs and the same crap. It can't be just the coaching.
I don't think it is either. The last defensive players(i can think of) to make the NFL were Willie's recruits(Senat, Hector, Love and Mazzi).
We have been horrible recruiting on defense.

However, our SoS is 98th this year vs 74th last year and we're allowing 48 ppg the last four games so we're trending in the wrong direction. Defense is at least as bad as last year, maybe better on effort and tackles but the end product is nowhere close to good enough.
This has actually been the worst defense with the easiest schedule over the last 5 years.

How many coordinators is it gonna take to realize they have no talent on D?
Only thing that is gonna help is processing people out and recruiting. If we dont get serious help in the off season expect much of the same next season.

Huh? Charlotte sucks. There's literally no reason for us to lose to those guys at home. I guess if there is a major injury that could change, but otherwise we should absolutely expect a W
yikes

hope they win, but cant see anything but them blowing this.

holy hell this is a lot closer than i thought..congrats USF

One of my keys: Staying Ahead of Schedule
The constant 3rd and 7,8 is brutal.

You know what? I apologize. You have every right to have no faith in your team. So in support of you, I shall say this..... "The USF football team sucks a$$ and we are not going to a bowl game" Have a great weekend my friend
They will suck until they don't. Until then they suck.

They lost to FIU.
So what? They lost bc their defense is the worst in the country in a 1 score game.
It was their offense that kept it close with Memphis. We are just as bad on defense with a worse offense.

I'm not sure what this tells us about USF playing Memphis. I think NT is better than us.

FAU just dropped 56 on us at home. Charlotte kept their game closer than us against FAU.
We suck too, so I'm not expecting anything just yet(except Temple).

With the inconsistent play on both sides of the ball and the flaws being exposed I still think we win 2 games. I think we upset at least one of UTSA/Memphis and let Temple/Charlotte beat us. I got a feeling we will punch above our weight against of UTSA/Memphis and let a lower tier program like Charlotte/Temple blow us out.
Unless something drastically changes on offense I dont think they are capable of beating the remaining teams outside of Temple. Defense needs to stay off the field for us to beat Memphis, UTSA and Charlotte.
I guess maybe if Brown is still healthy by the time they play Charlotte you run the ever living crap out of him and risk injury to make a bowl?

I think we go 1-3 and miss a bowl game. Hope I'm wrong.
-
Id be surprised if they keep it within 30. This defense is just as bad as last year.

Not impressed with a bunch of teams in the ACC.
Duke, VT: they are a literal nobody after legacy coaches left.
GT, UVA: nerds
LVille: papa John...dirtbags
Pitt, cuse ,bc, wake: big east bland nobody schools
NCST: who?
Miami: has been, never will again
fsu, unc, clem: high chance of leaving
ND: can pick anywhere
-
BIG12 will be the 3rd best conference after the top teams leave. Those remaining ACC teams will want to go to the BIG12.
We'll be stuck with the ACC castoffs which will be similar to the Big East teams, but better than the AAC teams.
We just need to win no matter the teams in conference.

anyone who has worked in athletics for more than 5 years needs to be let go. this has to be the absolute worst athletic department in the country.

it’s been several games now where our front 4 has been incapable of pressuring the QB in the pocket, who proceeds to carve us up for hundreds of yards thru the air.
meanwhile Brown barely has a few seconds to get a pass off.
both lines need to be better.
Several games? It has been years since we had a notable d lineman.

That’s probably the difference right there. You go as a sign of support where other people go to see a good competitive game or to see top talent. Some go to support, but also want to see a good game. Also many support with dollars, so it’s probably OK for them to want to see the best product possible.
This is an example of what you get from blind support.
