I feel it's the coach's playcalling and lack of adjustments that is our main problem. Besides the secondary, I don't think the defense is that bad. Even with the secondary, I'm seeing way more players out of place than simply getting beat. We have surpassed most of our stats from last year with 3 games remaining. Most of the secondary players are CJS recruits. I see many transferring out this year.

That doesn't mean much comparing against the worst defense in FBS.

You can't adjust and call plays for talent that you know can't execute those calls. Or maybe you do and you get lit up like the last few games.

Gotta agree. 3 DCs and the same crap. It can't be just the coaching.

I don't think it is either. The last defensive players(i can think of) to make the NFL were Willie's recruits(Senat, Hector, Love and Mazzi).

We have been horrible recruiting on defense.

Since you are using the past to downplay our team. North Texas just put up 591 yards of offense on Memphis last week. The same North Texas that lost to FIU. I expect us to win 2-3 of our remaining games. We have the talent and ability, we just need to play beter.

I'm not sure what this tells us about USF playing Memphis. I think NT is better than us.

Huh?  Charlotte sucks.  There's literally no reason for us to lose to those guys at home.  I guess if there is a major injury that could change, but otherwise we should absolutely expect a W

FAU just dropped 56 on us at home. Charlotte kept their game closer than us against FAU.

We suck too, so I'm not expecting anything just yet(except Temple).

With the inconsistent play on both sides of the ball and the flaws being exposed I still think we win 2 games.  I think we upset  at least one of UTSA/Memphis and let Temple/Charlotte beat us. I got a feeling we will punch above our weight against of UTSA/Memphis and let a lower tier program like Charlotte/Temple blow us out.

Unless something drastically changes on offense I dont think they are capable of beating the remaining teams outside of Temple. Defense needs to stay off the field for us to beat Memphis, UTSA and Charlotte.

I guess maybe if Brown is still healthy by the time they play Charlotte you run the ever living crap out of him and risk injury to make a bowl?

it’s been several games now where our front 4 has been incapable of pressuring the QB in the pocket, who proceeds to carve us up for hundreds of yards thru the air.

meanwhile Brown barely has a few seconds to get a pass off.

both lines need to be better.

Several games? It has been years since we had a notable d lineman.

That’s probably the difference right there. You go as a sign of support where other people go to see a good competitive game or to see top talent. Some go to support, but also want to see a good game. Also many support with dollars, so it’s probably OK for them to want to see the best product possible.

This is an example of what you get from blind support.
