  1. I am not convinced Flowers is the problem. He had a couple garbage passes that forced guys to the ground but he also hit receivers in the hands (including an easy 6). Bench isn't going to throw those passes any better and will be far less elusive.

If you aren't doing much this season why not develop the only QB that is going to be back next year (even if you as head coach aren't)?

Absolutely no reason to develop him when he won't be starting next year anyway.
This is the issue. You are assuming AW is the answer to all our problems. Like plenty of our prospects, he has a good arm but plenty of unanswered questions.
Pretty sure the few people that covered USF said it took five throws to see AW was a better QB that everyone else.

Doesn't matter who is throwing it when you have Bronson trying to play cornerback and Rodney "no hands" Adams.

I'll take that vs. indecision then a sack.

  4.

I saw a BC team with a much better defense and a slightly worse offense.

FSU is overrated and once they play a legit offense it will get tough for them.

They were called overrated all of last season and they kept winning until the playoffs.  I'd love for us to be that overrated.

And I would love for USF to have 10 kids get drafted. You can't compare their team from last to this years.

Unless Golson can progress fairly quickly then they seem beatable.

As some have already mentioned, this has to be the universities choice.  But just look at the other teams that have a "direction" in their name.  Hint - it is not good company to be associated with.  I think our advertising/administration is really missing the boat here.

Agreed - Generally directional schools are looked down upon across the college football world. It should always be USF.

  6. Butch Davis should be the guy.

With the Univeristy of Miami soon to go on probation a hire like Butch Davis can do wonders for recruiting top athlethes to play for USF.

USF should hire him with the goal within three years USF will get out of the Big East and move into either the ACC or Big 12.

Agreed. Now is not the time for taking chances. Get a proven guy.
