  1. Ah I forgot it depends on your degree. I had to do 2 more years for my degree
  2. Correct. As an alternative, you can take 2 years of a foreign language in High School, which will count. Or take a CLAST exam for the credit (for example: if you are a fluent speaker, and didn't want to take the HS class.)es That's not true. I took 3 years of spanish in high school and I still had to take 2 years of spanish in college. You can test out of taking it in college
  3. I hope we can get this guy. More competition is a good thing
  4. We'll see about this in December or January of next year if he has a big year...Hopefully he stays but it's hard to believe these guys
  5. People are discounting Michigan St because of one bad year? They went 11-3 in 2011 and 11-2 in 2010. Since Dantonio got there they've only had one year under .500 (6-7). They very well could kick our a**es. Hopefully we hang with them at the very least.
  6. Nice to see that Willie in his first year has nearly trumped Skippy's best year. LOI's aren't in yet. Tags has a great chance to do better in a couple of months than Skip did in a couple of years. A good portion of this class was recruited by Skip... Our top gets were basically Tags work though. Considering he's only done this since December...he should be awesome next year
  7. Well to be fair, Nebraska did have Taylor Martinez there. He started as a freshman I believe
  8. If they know he's not coming they'll offer other running backs. They wont just sit on their hands
  9. As someone above stated, they have multiple high ranking recruits there already or coming in. Same thing just happened in Florida. They brought in erm...Driskel and Brissett. They were both highly ranked qbs. Driskel won the competition and now Brissett is transferring.
  10. I'll share my thoughts on the Woulard situation. I think what happened with UCLA is probably the same thing that happened with Clemson. They saw a guy that committed to USF twice, then fell in love with NC State overnight and fell back out of love when the coach was fired. They figured he was an easy person to sway and with his potential why not go after him? What's the worst that can happen, he says no? It almost like they are taking advantage of his ego/non committal attitude. It doesn't matter to them if he never plays, but if he does live up to his potential then they may have a game changer on their hands. He's not going to change their class as much as he would for NC or USF. Asiantii is probably too caught up in the fact that big time schools are offering him a scholarship to realize that he may not even get the chance to play at either school. Just like when he (or his dad?) wanted an offer from Tenn. I'm sure if USC or Florida or any other big name school went after him he would jump at them too. It just seems like that's the way he wants things. Big time school, presents a big time opportunity, for him to go big. As some other people have said, he will probably be one of those qb's that will go to a school like UCLA, not play for a few years/lose out on the qb competition and then want to transfer.
  11. I was thinking more polite too. Even if he doesn't go here he was gracious unlike some other recruits.
  12. I don't think we'd have a large majority of our guys without CWT
  13. Yes they have had success in the NFL, but it's only been one year. Remember Michael Vick when he first came out? He was a sensation. Big arm, big speed, but eventually the league caught up to him and he broke down among other things. Remember the wild cat? It was all the rage years ago and it has died down too. If these need breed qb's have sustained success in the NFL great, but I don't think they will The read option was successful this year because team's were not ready for it. Just like the wildcat. RGIII is already broken. Wilson, while a very good qb, won with a great running game and defense. Kapernick is a very good qb overall. Nothing negative to say about him really. In the end, pro style qb's will generally always be more successful than hybrid qb's. Another thing about the different style of offenses. If you run a pro style offense in college, you will be more adept to the NFL game than someone who runs the spread option out of the shotgun. A lot of qb's struggle with that transition in the NFL.
  14. Somewhat committed isn't very encouraging. Hopefully he isn't just saying hes committed because he just left here,
  15. And if you have plans on trying to go pro, I'd much rather go to a pro style offense than a gimmick spread style
  16. Mike Love has grade issues. He's trying to bring them up but no guarantee
  17. That made me laugh. On a more serious note. What happens if White wins the starting qb job this year and does relatively well? Does Ely just get stuck being the back up again? Or is it more likely that we RS White this year, and let the two of them compete for the job next year.
  18. I'm guessing at the very least Johnson and one of the Rb's
  19. I believe he's the 2nd string QB at Bama, 2nd in line. He played sparingly, so not sure if he can redshirt or get a hardship. Worst case, he comes in 2014 as a RS Soph. That'd mean we'd rely on Floyd/Eveld, and maybe White in 2013. Not sure if this affects White...hope not, as it's just a rumor at this point, and we can't afford to have zero QBs in this lot. He already redshirted. He's a R-Soph in 2013. So we'd get him as a R-Junior if he sat out the year for us, no? White already said he's firm on us and someone posted an article in another thread that he has actually been pushing to get other qb recruits for us.
