  1. Yes, SB Nation is just like Bleacher Report, bloggers. But Voodoo Five isn't a bad blog. http://www.voodoofive.com/
  2. If the #1 BE team couldn't beat the #2 BE team, odds are they wouldn't have had much of a chance in the playoff. If you're not going to play all the teams in your conference, I don't have a problem with a CCG, mainly because the all the CCG's will be a like a first round of the playoffs .... until 2 undefeated SEC teams go into their CG, it's a real close game and the brainwashed knuckleheads on the selection committee think both teams should go to the playoff. After being a Bulls fan if its one thing I learned is that its that a perceived lessor team can beat a perceived better team. A #4 ranked undefeated BE team could lose on the last play of the game to a #23 BE team. That would be enough to drop it out of going to the championship playoffs even though they MAY have done well. Who thought USF would go as far as it did in the NCAA Tournament last year?
  3. You can view recruits on a US map on Rivals, which is pretty cool to get a sense of where schools get their players. http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/recruit-search-results Choose, View All Results On Map and you can choose school, conference, year, etc..
  4. Wonder if this will change if VH says yes. http://www.tampabay....mmit-bulls-2013 "Whitty and Ward were told that USF only intends to take three cornerbacks in its 2013 class, which would leave one spot available for Wharton standout Vernon Hargreaves III. It's a key position for USF's next recruiting class, with starter Kayvon Webster a senior this fall and a new generation of potential starters moving in with young players like Kenneth Durden and Chris Bivins." BTW, Hargeaves tweeted on the 20th that USF is not in his top 5, but still in consideration. Wonder if sanctions at Miami will make them drop off and USF move up. http://insider.espn....i-uf-leads-list The 5-foot-11, 185-pound cornerback tweeted: "Top 5 ) 1.Florida 2.Clemson 3.Vanderbilt 4.Miami 5.Notre Dame , USF is not in my top 5 but still considering!" "Yeah my list is in order," Hargreaves said. "I like all of those schools. I guess there is no definite reason I like all of them, I guess it's just where I feel like I have an opportunity to play and have a good time. I like the coaching staffs, the facilities and the players.
  5. It probably has to do with how competitive NAVY is in the Big East and whether their recruiting improves as a result. Army wasn't very competitive in C-USA. This. And of the three academies, Army has had the most problems fielding a competitive team.
  6. I like UA. They are the new Nike. I'd like to see a legacy uniform added though.
  7. I am glad he didn't get to a Miss St home game because he sounds like he is into tradition. They may not have the best SEC team, but they have a lot of traditions on game day and a group of hard core fans.
  8. I guess somewhere in this mess is a post that the Tweet has been deleted? http://tampabay.sbnation.com/south-florida-bulls/2012/7/22/3176193/usf-ncaa-violations Maybe USF Violations, Maybe Not? +1 A report from the Miami Herald suspects that USF could be facing possible NCAA violations, but that report was soon deleted off of Twitter. Do you want major updates to this story in your Facebook News Feed? Update Miami Herald Reporter Deletes USF Violations Tweet Earlier a story was written about the possibility of University of South Florida violations based around a tweet by the Miami Herald Florida State Seminoles writer Patrik Nohe, who mentioned that he was working on something big in regards to violations at USF. Since the article based around his tweet was published, the tweet has now been deleted off of Twitter. As with most things on the internet, once it's sent out or posted, it's there forever as evidenced by the screen grab above. It's possible Nohe wasn't supposed to reveal anything on the subject he was working on just yet, but the toothpaste is out of the container. For more on the , make sure to check out . Jul 22 12:36p by Alfie Crow Original Story <a href="http://tampabay.sbnation.com/2012/7/22/3176113/potential-usf-violations-ncaa-football/in/2940234">Potential USF Violations On The Horizon? Patrick Nohe of the Miami Herald announced via Twitter on Sunday that he is going to be in Tampa this week working on a story that involves possible violations at South Florida. Nohe has been pretty quiet about what exactly those potential violations could entail, but it is something fans of the Bulls will want to keep an eye on. The Bulls men's basketball has been in trouble with the NCAA before, as the team faced a slew of violations under Stan Heath in 2009 when a strength coach violated NCAA rules in the courting of a transfer. The football team, however, has not faced any since joining the FBS in 2001. For more on the South Florida Bulls, make sure to check out Voodoo Five. Still not enough college football for you? 9. Traffic mentioned was from 2003. I plan on stopping in Saturday morning to see what's left. My bad. But it seems from the reports here, it sounds like they need a cop in the store.
  10. Arizona State No Interest Yes None Indiana No Interest Yes None Iowa State No Interest Yes None Kansas No Interest Yes None Kansas State No Interest Yes None Memphis No Interest Yes None Mississippi State No Interest Yes None Nevada No Interest Yes None New Mexico No Interest Yes None South Alabama Where is that from? I cleaned it up, its from Scout. Is that when he was in HS? I don't think he was on the radar in high school because all these offers were from this year. My bad. I don't know which Nate Willis he is on Max Preps, there are two. Unless they are both him one playing football the other basketball, in Fl and UT. In UT he was the #85 ranked player, 10,000 nationally on Max Prep. http://www.maxpreps.com/athletes/xOkJkUP6JUWktY-KFOGo5Q/football-fall-09/profile-nate-willis.htm
  11. No one is a fan of thieves. But many of those same people could also wear this shirt.
  12. LOL. Just keep in mind, it always ships with bugs and two patches will be coming like for all previous versions of this generation. For a first time though, one is with a bunch of uniform fixes and updates. So some are saying they have freezing. I haven't seen it. I've played countless games, in offline dynasty where people say they are having issues and I have none that are major so far. Another thing I do, when I am not wizzing through the weeks in the dynasty is stop off and visit my pals at UCF and make sure they have a loss for the week. LOL You can look at the credits and I counted 3 dozen people who worked on the game with UCF logos by their name. There were a few Bulls too, but a ton of UCF as expected.
  13. I cooled down my week without family play style and am now down at #7 on the Season Showdown list of all PS3 players, lol. I have USF ranked #2 going into the Syracuse game in my offline dynasty after beating a #7 FSU and a ton of upsets. #2....sound familiar? BTW, when you play the Auburn game, they show their golden eagle flying in the stadium. Louisville has the coolest Big East Intro, their mascot parachutes in! They brought that code over from the Battlefield series and applied it to certain teams.
  14. Or have your life ruined. Clay Matthews was a walk on and if he something like this and was just kicked out of school, he'd probably be digging ditches today. Correction: Ruin you own life. What criminal offense(s) did Clay Mathew commit? Flew over your head did it? My point is that walk ons can go on to be NFL greats, not that Clay Mathews has done anything. So many on here act like they have never committed any criminal offense (smoke pot, drive after 1 too many beers, cheat on their taxes, speed, etc) in their entire life, which I truly don't believe at all, much less at age 20 and are so harsh without knowing the entire situation or the person involved. I hope he walks on at UCF and wins the Heisman trophy. Then you all would be kicking yourselves for decades over that decision.
  15. That is from the clear shield on that helmet OK, I now see the UA logo and how its a tab for the visor. But that underlying design appears to be the same pattern as on the WW helmet.
  16. I only put up the past decade of Heisman. Corso came up with the "Speed State" but other states have players just as fast or faster. Florida has a huge population, much of it recently (past 40 years) transplanted from other states. DC/Maryland is another hotbed of football talent. Torrey Smith, Shawne Merriman, Vernon Davis, Darrius Heyward-Bey all from Maryland and extremely fast.
  17. Fair enough GA, but if this happens I wouldn't expect to hear from CSH or anyone else about the high character of the football team. Especially when it was used as a counter to the 1-6 conference record from last year and a reason for the extension of CSH and his crew. In real life, you're not supposed to have your cake and eat it too! The "high character of the football team" is not the act of one young person who hasn't even taken a snap in a game yet. And why would a kid stealing a cell phone be used as a counter for anything. lol. All he needs to counter last season is his tenure at two schools on the way to conference championships at each. He had 5-6 records one season at both schools along the way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skip_Holtz
  18. On the green helmet, above the left eye, there is a patch of what looks like the design of the Wounded Warrior helmet from last year, on a smaller scale. Is that the helmet for the season?
  19. Or have your life ruined. Clay Matthews was a walk on and if he something like this and was just kicked out of school, he'd probably be digging ditches today. I remember being young and was caught doing something dumb and not thinking of the consequences and luckily the person who could have drastically altered my life in a negative way decided instead used it as a life lesson. I met him years later in my job in the medical field, he was a patient, and thanked him for what he did.
  20. Does anyone know what Tagliabue did when he came in back in 2010 to advise the Big East? I wonder how much he got for that consulting gig....I'd ask for the money back.
  21. Watched the first half of the Notre Dame game today. I had missed where Webster is now in the history books of one of the most storied teams in college history. His fumble recovery of 96 yards is the longest of an opposing team in ND's 130 plus year history.
  22. I'd like to see the old "throwbacks" played once a season. Maybe for the UCF game?
  23. Did any of the 2011 redshirted players get to play in the Spring Game?
  24. You'd have to gather Dom's ashes up and Danny is almost 30 years older than me. You'd never make it as a casting director my friend, lol.
  25. Pst....there are great players in Texas, California, Oklahoma, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, etc.. Florida got a lot of its rep from Lee Corso's quip about it being the "speed state". Yes, many great players are in Florida. Much of that has to do with the large population of the state though vs something in the water. They've been giving out Heisman trophies since the 30s and there has only been a half dozen from Florida schools. Most likely there are more Floridians than that who have them, but lots of other states produce great football players. Looking at the past 10 teams, Oklahoma and California are where the most winners have come from, only Tebow was from Florida.
