  1. Well, I posted a comment. He was referring to Grothe but I am sure more people know about Jenkins.
  2. ROFLOL, The Ugliest Uniform In The History Of Ugly. http://network.yardbarker.com/college_football/article_external/notre_dame_unveils_ugliest_uniform_in_history_of_ugly/11482636?ocid=ansfox11 When Notre Dame unveiled their uniforms for the 2011 "Shamrock Series" game against Maryland I posted them with the headline Notre Dame Just Killed My Dad because I didn't think the program could possibly sink any lower. Whoops. Yesterday the Irish unveiled the 2012 "Shamrock Series" uniform for the Miami game, and I can only image they went to adidas and said, "Make us a uniform that's as ugly as Tommy Rees' play in the red zone." We all know the Cowboys refuse to wear their blue jerseys because they lost a Super Bowl in them, so am I wrong in hoping for Miami to beat the Irish by 170 so I never have to see an abomination like this again? Am I overreacting here, or is the ugliest uniform in the history of college football? Click here for the video if you need more evidence. The Irish might have unveiled the worst look this week, but they didn't unveil the only one. Rutgers is switching to Nike Pro Combat style digs for the entire season, including a silver helmet that actually makes them look like Knights: And Double Coverage's favorite team, the Coast Guard Bears, has switched from Nike to adidas for 2012. We haven't seen the game uniforms yet, but this look at the practice uniforms reveals they've ditched the Baby Florida look for blue helmets: Finally, let's move to the MAC, where Central Michigan is jumping on the "all black errrrthing" train and unveiling these new combinations, including a matte black helmet: Pretty sharp look for the Chippewas...and we KNOW how much those MAC teams http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAOfNEBZbE4. UMass is also jumping on the black bandwagon with their move to the MAC, switching to these new black helmets and an all black home uniform: Now if only they could just remove all traces of from the internet.
  3. Yes, I saw he had a minor injury. As far as I can tell no word on Lynch's hardship waiver.
  4. For those interested in the uniform, this may be the account to follow on Twitter. Check out all the gloves this year. https://twitter.com/jclees
  5. That was posted an hour ago. For those not in Tampa Bay. http://tampa.cbslocal.com/category/sports/
  6. I wasn't into basketball at all. I have really enjoyed the few Bulls, and in Atlanta Hawks, games I've attended. Thanks to this past season, I am now hooked on Bulls BB. I just hope they are on a TV contract like they have now where I can catch up on the internet if I miss a game. I know that means ESPN though. Ugh.
  7. Doubt it. Either assumption. Both are shot down by the mere fact of how BJ became the starter. Grothe went down and an unknown came in.
  8. Does this mean that Lynch didn't get a hardship waiver? And with this many freshmen at backup just shows how wrong that USF Can't Recruit thread really is. Recruiting is getting better when you have talent that good coming into the program.
  9. I am watching the last Super Bowl on NFL Rewind. Its the second quarter and they have mentioned Jason Pierre Paul countless times as he makes play after play. BTW, he is a USF Alumni. He was #1 in the NFL in the regular season for tackles by a defensive lineman and #4 in sacks. You may want to check the thread on Bulls in the NFL. And you may want to look out for The Elite 11 on ESPN. The QB who won MVP, at this meeting of the best high school qbs in the country, has pledged to go to USF because he wants to do things at USF never done before, like win the Big East, go to a BCS game, which is still possible. Some kids with talent want a challenge, they don't want to go to a team so laden with talent its a given they will do great things.
  10. Valid point except that UConn never won conference championship but they did go the 1-AA playoffs Skip's last year there. The year they went to the playoffs they won the Atlantic Ten conference championship, New England Division per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connecticut_Huskies_football.
  11. QB is a position that worries me in terms of depth.
  12. There was a thread where people were worried about the depth at RB. Mine is QB.
  13. With this move I am now thinking that the Big East may be headed eventually to its own network, partially owned by with either CBS or NBC or maybe even Fox. With all the school departure money, the Big East is flush with cash for infrastructure setup.
  14. Psst. You guys may want to actually read the post linked to in the first thread.
  15. Its all driven by whoever is paying the team to wear their brand. http://www.sportsbus...nole-Tribe.aspx
  16. It could be just tweaks. For instance there was a change in 2011 from 2010 with logo size and position that most didn't even realize. Could also be about head gear on the sideline, ball caps and outfits for Skip too.
  17. Go to Tripadvisor.com. Once you find a place with decent reviews nearby, you can search for the best price online Here is the page for the Grand Hyatt someone mentioned. Put your date in and hit Show Prices and all the websites will pop up with their price. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g34678-d85885-Reviews-Grand_Hyatt_Tampa_Bay-Tampa_Florida.html
  18. I Tweeted to Bill a vintage photo and said we need a Legacy uniform. I see no difference in uniforms from last year in the NCAA game BUT there was an issue with uniforms in the NCAA game this year with many schools having either incorrect or unis left out and a patch is coming end of the month....so who knows? Besides Bill.
  19. Conference call tomorrow for final vote of approval. No word on who, just that the vote is tomorrow. http://ajerseyguy.com/?p=550
  20. UFL is supposed to be the new NFL Europe, a farm league or 1aaa for the NFL. I would include those players. And I don't know if you guys saw the catch that SJ Green made a couple seasons back but for all the Bulls at the pro level, has to be tops.
  21. Well maybe, if the OCS has a pirate ship. We are talking teenagers. Yeah, some may like an OCS, but I have yet to read about a recruit who didn't get the Ray Jay tour and not be impressed. It seems that SuperBull, held there, is a major turning point for many like Price and Bivins. http://www2.tbo.com/sports/sports/2007/oct/09/sp-on-campus-stadium-has-benefits-but-ray-jay-suit-ar-177584/ As far as playing at the home of the Bucs and the site of Super Bowl XLIII in 2009, Raymond James Stadium has been a huge recruiting tool for USF. http://southflorida.scout.com/2/1207699.html 3-star WR Jeff Badet Excited to be a Bull " I also love the stadium they play in, because I’m also a Buc’s fan and always dreamed of playing in there, so that was another big plus for me.†Sebring LB Bullock is the Newest USF Commit! “I really like the campus, the locker rooms, the facilities and love the stadium.†my family can easily come watch me play. That’s what sold me, that and the stadium. http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/26895818/30273234 Like Price, Bivins has been a mainstay on the 7-on-7 circuit and camp circuit. He ended up committing at the SuperBull camp put on by USF coaches at Raymond James Stadium. (Price) the facilities are awesome
  22. Temple is nailing them left and right. This is an argument that comes up a lot. The caliber of player we'd want to be nationally relevant isn't choosing USF because we play in a NFL stadium. Not same some recruits don't like it, because I'm sure they do, I'm just not convinced that it's a game changer. We only use it on game days and a couple walk throughs. It's not like the kids are hanging there on the weekdays. RJS neither helps us or hurts us. It's more of a fan thing. They take the recruits to Ray Jay. They hold events there with them. Its a sales point. And when you see videos of the recruits that visit, on the pay sites, when they talk about their visits, its brought up all the time, how impressed they were with it. Ray Jay is most definitely in the pitch to recruits. Not only that, if you watched the Big East Media day, opponents were asked the game they most look forward to and most said...playing in Tampa at Ray Jay.
  23. The Trampoline, in comparison to that beauty in Minn was $55 million a couple years earlier in 2007.
