Im glad he is taking his time. We all want to know but this is a big decision for him. I have said it all along. You might think this factor is important or that one..but a kid wants to have the best chance to play at the next level. He also wants to put up numbers. He wants to be a star. With that being said I hope our coach is doing a good job letting AW picture himself in a bulls uniform putting up numbers.

We went 3-9 our expectations are as low as ever. Who cares if he struggles. Winning 6 games with our schedule is not an incredibly hard task for a freshman. I bet it is the same if not worse if eveld or flloyd was our qb.

So then you need to be a great passer?...He is not. Freshman everywhere are lighting it up. Stop making excuses. Look at his offers coming out of high school. Its clear the type of programs offering are the types of programs we are trying to seperate from and want to be nothing alike. Aside from UL..who clearly isnt looking for a starting qb at the moment only backups he was offered by miserable schools. Its okay that he didnt do great when he got his opportunites. It just showed he is not going to play at this level. He got his opportunity. They tried to bring eveld back and he blew it and was forced to come back to Flloyd. Then Landi got an opportunity. If that doesnt tell you that the kid is bad than I don't know what you need. We need one QB who is prolific to decide to come to usf to change our history. We just need one kid to make that choice. If Aaron Murray did it we would have been in a completely different place right now. If AW is what everyone thinks he is. If he makes the decision he needs to get the chance right away to make us that team and take his lumps his freshman year.

Who really cares..If he is comingto USF we all want to know soon. He can get some kids to flip and maybe some kids who have yet to decide to come. We need that hire. Can we sustain with a wku coaching staff, sure. We could be fine. I think kids will have a desire to play for randy shannon. I think just having him on the staff would help with offensive players as well. It would make it much easier on Taggart inheriting what is got to be one of the hardest coaching jobs in the country. We can stop speculating on other jobs and stuff. We can only list why we think it would be beneficial for him to choose USF over other options. He can recruit in Florida. He chose the job he is at now to learn under a coach who is clearly developing players and getting the most out of them. He can now bring what he has learned to a school that was ranked in the 100's in defense. The difference he could make in a defense could be easily displayed at a school like USF. He clearly has not been offered a job he is really looking for yet. If he comes to Florida and reconnects with his recruiting ties he can instantly bolster usf while also making fresh connections for a future head coaching position if he so desires. We are a good next step for him. This would seal the deal for me that we will be fine even next season.

wasnt BJ first start vs FSU?...He did pretty well. Like I said showed everyone that he had huge potential. Noone is saying he was a great college qb but he was impressive and had the ability to change the game in a few plays. Can you say the same for Flloyd in anything he has showed you. There is no comparison. Thanks for your side of the argument. You can spin anything to make it look good. I call it like I see it. I said Lanaris needed to be benched early and you guys jumped on me. Flloyd is not good.

Haha you guys always say it was his only playing time...You cannot expect him to do well. Well if he was any good he would do well. There are not too many qbs you go from flat out sucking to being good college qb's. Grothe and Daniels showed alot in their first appearances. Your making excuses for him. Flloyd will never be a starting qb at this level. If Eveld or Flloyd is our starting qb next year we have failed.

Well do you think we should start one of our backups? Who got ample playing time and showed they are horrible.... or if we know we are going to struggle let it be with a qb learning the system he will play in for 4 years. Feel free to express yourself its a message board.

We need randy shannon. Kids will want to come to usf for sure.

AW would start from day 1. Its obvious. Taggart has seen our qb's. He knows what we have no is useless. If he comes its because he was garunteed he will start. Taggart needs to develop his own qb in this new system. He does not need a backup trying to be the starter who will only be replaced midway throught he season. Give the kid the ball and let him grow like bridgewater. Who many thought was not going to be a great QB. If you think you have to sit to get better your wrong. Its a situational thing. The only reason for him to sit is if we had someone who was NIGHT AND DAY a better qb than him to learn from. You think were any better off with flloyd and eveld playing over this kid? Your insane.

yea i think its pretty obvious he is there because he wanted to be. Still does not answer my question on how much he is making at TCU. I still would like to know how much it would take to get him. He turned down this and that and this and that..got it..he liked tcu and how their program is run. He was out of coaching and I'm sure understanding player development and learning new stuff under a great head coach was his goal...He still needs to be compensated if he is going to accept this job at USF..so I was just wondering what people think it would take.

shaw could get 1,000 plus yards in the right offense. He is explosive and strong enough to get the job done. I expect him to be the rb that starts.

I just think whatever we need to pay him we need to pay him. It is only for two or three years tops. He might be gone after 2 but we need to pay him. What can he be making as a lb coach for tcu? What do we need to offer here? More than cosh was making?

You do not hear me complaining. I'm sure some of you probably expected me to blast these hires. Well I cannot complain with these hires. If he truly is the coach I want him to be than the offensive coordinator really has no pull. He seems like he runs his own offense and he will call the plays. The coordinator will only make suggestions for audibles. Most really good head coaches play this way. I too am more worried about who he hires on that side of the ball. Defense. He was a qb. He needs a good DC. I think the hire of randy shannon would be ideal. You look at his options. He needs to prove himself before becoming a head coach again IMO. If he goes to FSU he inherits a great defense what kind of change can me make? If he comes into USF he gets a 100th ranked defense. He can look like a hero and virtually be sent to the top of list for another job. I'm okay with being that stepping stone. He can instantly bring us recruits we had no chance at. We need that hire.

Not trying to say he is not a good coach but since I played minor league baseball..the position often goes to former players with little or no coaching experience. There is not too much coaching being done there anyway. Minor adjustments but not major development.

I agree at this point I just want to excell at whatever we do. I know it wont be what I originally wanted but do it well and I'm okay. Im just pointing out for the people who do not seem to understand ground and pound style of play can be effective but when you look at the history the spread as won our conference. We just the worst version of it but had a qb who could make plays with his feet.

His offense needs an offensive line to mesh and know what their doing for your stud rb to work too. Its not just that simple. All I do is bash USF?...I played on scholarship for the school..not football. If you have read my posts you would know what sport. I scream at the tv and watch every game even if we do suck now but I want whats best for this team. You maniacs say some ridiculous stuff. I felt like we should go a different direction with it and I let my point be known. You can call that bashing but its what I felt would get us to where we need to be. Either way thats all over and the future is all thats important for our school. I said it before and I said it again I'm really growing to like this hire. I can accept a different offense because I actually think he knows how to teach something unlike our previous coach. Bottom line..I want good coaching for the players and thats all we can ask for regardless of a system. The sweat I put into this university I think I deserve to be a little critical of it sometimes. Im sorry if it comes off as bashing. I try to be realistic.

Im falling for this hire. I think he will do a good job. You guys got the guy you wanted. I didn't. I'll support him..but you guys still say some ridiculous things that make no sense. All I was saying is we need a hell of alot more than just a stud rb to get this team on the right track. Again I'd hardly call that trolling. Im being realistic. You should try it.

7 of the last 8 big east championship winners were basically a spread offense. The only one not being a spread was uconn and they didnt fare very well in the bowl game..where they got beat by oklahoma..who runs alot of types of offense primarily the spread.

Just saying...stating we need a stud rb is pretty much useless when we some immediate help on the defensive side of the ball. Forget about offense. You guys chose a run/playaction offense. This means we will need a sudden change in defense because I doubt over one summer we suddenly get a 1,000 yard rusher.

I mean i mean while your at it..lets ask for a tight end who can block/catch. I hope price can block. A TE seems pretty important in his offense. While your at it we need a stud qb to help keep the defense off balance when they stack the box against your stud rb. While your at it we need more size at the defensive tackle position to have success on defense we could use some stud DT'S..while your at it mix in some cb's who are not a buck 50 soaking wet. We could use some stuf CB's as well. The list goes on fellas.
