I don't think that is fair though because the Lightning literally did everything they could to become the top sports team in the area. If you are talking about recent history, the Lighting (with a new owner) went all in and renovated their stadium, hired an amazing GM, built a great core player group, and created an amazing experience. I think they totally earned everything they are getting and downtown Tampa is 100% Lightning all the way. If you look at recent USF, they added a hype guy with his hat on backwards to shout at you between plays, moved the band into the student section to take up seats, and then had the team run out of the visitor fans' tunnel. I am just saying from an integrated gameday experience, it's not on the level of the Lightning by any stretch. Lightning games are loud and fun. USF games can be a bit like a library where you can't get too excited or you will face retribution from the undead legacy donor hoarde.

I'm buying 2. That will put us over the top. But yes the beatdown by a stadium full of UCF fans doesn't help build a buzz.

I've waited for this moment to slide in a joke about the billboards in Georgia along I-75. On the way up, you'll notice several billboards with girls in matching T shirts promoting liquor stores. I think there are multiple of these companies. Very confusing, but this must be a good marketing strategy for liquor stores on the interstate. Also on the way back, you'll notice epic Jesus billboards with explosions, helicopters, and troops. The "Jade Spa - Truckers welcome" billboard has vanished.

It's an iconic fast food drive in kinda thing. I love the burgers, apple pies, and the orange drink. I wouldn't say it is healthy by any stretch!

Nice! Ponce City Market is fun. It has a lot of food options and people watching. You can go out the 2nd floor to the Beltline, which is a thing I would compare to Riverwalk. Basically, plop down concrete, people walk on it, convert warehouses to 5 dollar cupcakes and hibiscus drinks in Mason jars. You could say, go out ponce and take a left on the beltline and eventually get to Piedmont Park.

On weekends that area empties out and can get a little wonky - nothing to panic about, but just saying.

Buckhead went from that club scene to high end shopping. Cypress Street Pint and Plate is a popular spot - it's tucked in a little spot where you could almost miss it. Definitely also Yelp some food if you are staying a couple days because it's a short uber ride to almost anything.

Midtown is a great spot to stay and easily walkable to the game and epic food. Yes, will be there.

I've been getting these and going to both games. What's the advantage? Basically you get included food and hang with alum? I endorse BBQ chicken and pork. Vote for me.
