  1. If there is lightning within 10 miles of the stadium they delay the game.
  2. Here is hoping that this year is like Dungy's first year. It was really bad at the beginning of the year but got better as the year went on. I think Dungy lost his first 10 games.
  3. Can't resist The defense looked like the walking dead
  4. Best part of this game? ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm give me a minute I'll think of something The Cheerleaders looked good
  5. Figured the performance grades reflected the coaching and didn't think it needed to be graded. One thing in Taggarts defense. When he named Floyd the starter he did have to give him time enough to prove himself. Not sure he could have pulled Floyd earlier and not alienate the team.
  6. The Good, Eveld looked decent and serviceable as a QB, Shaw played well The Bad, spotty blocking and missed assignments on the OL, DBs are young did ok for first game did not get much support from D line biggest problem was tackling and YACs The Ugly, where to begin? The front seven dominated by MSU O line, no offensive production in first half, does anyone know how to tackle? Receivers dropping balls Game Grades O Backfield - C QB - F and C WR - D O line - D D line - F Linebackers - F DBs - D Punting - D Place Kicker - F Coverage - D
  7. Eveld has played much better than Floyd but we will still get killed next week since we still have no defense
  8. My favorite McKay What so I think of our offensive execution? I'm all in favor of it
  9. Attention all cars!!! Attention all cars!!! We have a reported robbery at RJS, apparently someone stole the USF football team they did not show up for the first half
  10. we have not lost to a FCS school since 1999 well another new mark for USF football, unfortunately its in the downward direction
  11. I thought Taggart was a better coach then Holtz so far its not showing. No Defense, No offense, no special teams and the only player playing well right now is shaw
  12. Amazing how good BJ is with some coaching isn't it?
  13. Actually most NFL teams carry three QBs. The third QB is usually designated as the inactive QB. The inactive QB does not count against the 45 player game day roster, but if the first and second QB gets hurt they can play. However, if the inactive QB plays in a game the other QBs can not reenter the game. The third QB then never plays in a game but is there in case of injuries. The inactive QB receives their contract pay and can not be signed by any other team (unlike the practice squad). The third QB counts against the 53 man roster. So most NFL teams go into games with 2 QBs listed as active and the third as inactive. With no other QBs available on SF BJ made the third string inactive QB spot. This I think is good for BJ, gives him time to develop as a QB and he will run the scout team offense.
  14. Its obvious after this game Harbaugh has to decide if wants to keep BJ or not. There is no way BJ can be moved to the practice squad without someone taking him as a #3. It should be noted that the odd man out was Tolzien, he didn't get any game time. I suspect that tomorrow (first cut) Tolzien is gone. I also think that the it might be Kaepernick, McCoy and Wallace as QBs and BJ as special teams player while they work on his QB skills.
  15. The team will be better than people think it will be. Nothing spectacular in the RB position but nothing bad either, the OL is good which will help on Offense. High percentage throws gets the team some scoring, nothing lights out but 20 points a game is reasonable. QB only has to be decent not great. Offense is a work in progress but not bad like the last three games last year when the game was mailed in. Defense should be very interesting. Defensively last year USF was a top 30 D in the first half, bottom 30 in the second half. Indicates no in game adjustments or very bad ones. Expect more man coverage and less zone which is more suited to our DBs. D-line and LBs are solid and can create pressure, force the QB to move. Better communication as well. Defense will be good, will not be surprised to see top 40 defense. If offense can crack top 80 USF wins 7 games.
  16. Not in favor of moving USF to a different off campus stadium but Aloha Stadium shows that multi- purpose stadiums do not have to be bush league. Go to http://www.andrewclem.com/Baseball/AlohaStadium.html#place to see the baseball and football configurations. Seats 50,000 too so its about the right size. A duplicate of that stadium makes some sense.
  17. Way to go for Koepka. Hope he can make Friday.
