    We jad our shot, an unbelievably gratuitous window, and we choked. Our program was on our trajectory that, -even if we consistently 9-3 and 10-2 against Tulane, Smu, Memphis, etc.- realignment has forever changed. A lot in life is moving on. I actually was mad when the post was made earlier this week that a BoT member suggested dropping football. But, in context, there are so many good things our university does that it can still do, with or without football. Not advocating dropping football just yet, but it wouldn't be so absurd, after the circumstances I outlined, that it couldn't deserve looking at.

    I literally would not be upset if, within five years, the football program was either demoted to FCS or abolished. Best to cut our losses and I don't want to get to a point where our program has a losing record overall. If, after the exit fee money has dried up, after Harlan has made his hire, we continue to be embarrassed weekly, it has to be looked at. We still have a lot to be proud of.

    Maybe not deservedly, but he had the size that team was missing and was a difference-maker. Oh well.

    It is. But it will suck watching him rise through the coaching ranks once this fluke incident passes. When he's winning 20 games a year for another school and we're getting outschemed by East Carolina at home in front of 2500 people because we hired Stan Heath 2.0. Get comfortable with that thought because it will happen that way.

    The Millionaires have a 64 year old player blocking on punt formations. And he out-benched the whole team. They rent high school stadiums and play to dozens of people. That is how serious it is. But always wish Mike Ford well. Beast.
