TAMPA — Crumb & Cork encourages lingering, wine sipping and cheese sampling, all while listening to jazz in a former bank building on the corner of Franklin and Madison streets.
Wine enthusiast Joshua Pillock calls his new lounge, a "Bull business," a nod to the mascot of his alma mater, the University of South Florida, and the potential of downtown Tampa.
"I think 2013 is the year for emerging culinary concepts that are bringing something new and different to the Tampa market," said Pillock, who is partnering with New York transplant Joseph Saine.
Set to open the first week of July, Crumb & Cork will offer more than 100 wine selections, many featured by the glass starting at $5. Lunch and dinner menus offer artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, sandwiches and salads. Happy hour specials run 4 to 6 p.m. daily. Live jazz shows are planned for weekends, topped off with Sunday jazz brunches.
Crumb & Cork, 501 N Franklin St., two blocks south of the Tampa Theatre, will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; until midnight Friday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Visit crumbandcork-usa.com.
