every year our recruiting gets better, so let's just wait and see. if we have another really good year it will only get better. remember what recruits were saying this year about us beating WVU? thus making them interested in us and taking us into consideration. we will eventually get there where we have better and better recruits. this doesn't happen in one recruiting season that we will be filled with 4 and 5 star recruits no matter how good we are. everyone just be patient!!! ;D btw, just to restate the obvious, the auburn game is huge ENORMOUS in terms of recruiting.

the article aks him flat out if he is still committed to USF and he says yes. however, he is still interested in toledo (which he already visited). so, usf and toledo are his only interests but hes still commited to USF. he is going to take his visit to USF this weekend.

let's not get all hyped on Ford just yet... i'm sure he's great and thank God we have him, however, everyone hyped up both denson and hill as a savior quarterback, and look how they carried the ball - like a loaf of bread... let's just be thankful we actually have a running game. if it werent for the lack of one this past season, we could have easily won more games.

how about let's just go for whatever one draws the biggest crowd, and since our crowd is dependant on date we should go for the best date. i would love to go to the gator bowl this coming year. plus if we get invited to the gator bowl it was because we won some pretty big games and that means more and more people will travel.

look at it this way... no matter way we do, Grothe will still be able to run. we'll probably run almost a similar offense, but it will be much much much much much more effective now that grothe can actually option the ball to a RB. the more balance we have with pass and run (grothe's ability and ford's ability), the more that the spread option will open up holes in the line and in the secondary. on a side note, did anyone else hear that sigh of relief from grothe? i think he would have had to put on about 15 lbs this offseason just to survive the total whoring of the qb draw that rod was in love with. rod seems to love whoring one play over and over ie.- last year's whoring of running the hb up the middle with andre.

also it will give someone a brand new scheme to come up with on their own (learning to utilize the RB's and not the major raping of the QB draw)

maybe this was good... we'll probably have a different looking offense (again) with the backfield coming in... however i hope rod doesnt f*ck us and tear apart our defense if he knows the insides

i dont know if its posted anywhere else on the board (looked but couldn't find it), but scout.com finally updated their ratings for carlton hill... they have him listed as a 4-star WR. this should help our recruitment rankings. hope he makes the best of his second chance too.

I asked a guy who I work with about the Auburn travel. He went to Auburn and told me that ATL is closer than BHM by about 30 min. This was from someone who traveled in and out of Alabama for school. The only thing is that even though BHM is 30 minutes further away than ATL to Auburn, you're not going to get a cheap SWA flight into ATL unless you flew Airtran (ATL is their hub). SWA goes into BHM and I would imagine that the cluster f*ck at ATL will delay you more than 30 min anyways especially on Friday afternoon/night. I figure BHM would be better for flying in, so that is what I will probably do.

For all of you who can't go, that's garbage... I live in Illinois and I am going to get a season ticket next year. I went to 7 games this year (would have been 8 but I had to cancel one at the last minute). There is no excuse not to go. Tickets are cheap. You'll have 8 months to save a few hundred dollars and ask off of work for two days (leave Friday night return Saturday night or Sunday morning). If you guys came from FL, then don't you know anyone who can pick u up? Room with? Come on! You all talk about wanting to be a good traveling team, so put some **** effort into it! At least try then to just go to some away games and make us look better! GEEZ! >

I thought Voss was injured... any news on his injury? We could keep him at QB, I think. He's like Grothe, but bigger, which is nice. I would bet anything he comes in and red shirts as a QB... Plus, if he red shirts he'll be like J.D. Booty was to M. Leinart.

DePaul is going to do pretty well this year and next.

I didn't realize he had such an injury. I hope this doesn't bite us. For info on expecting a QB to get back to form from a bad injury, see Culpepper... :-/
