We SUCK in basketball, but at least the headlines on our recruits (in their towns) is something like "so and so signs with Big East School" and the news isn't as a total shock. We can thank our conference affiliation for that. UCF has picked up some great players, but the national perception is not all that positive.

Fame? You kiddin'? Nobody but UCF fans and USF fans even know this game was played. Just like nationally most people STILL don't know the difference between UCF and USF. You guys have to be the most overinflated egos in sports. It's almost funny with the arrogance in which you view yourselves. It's baffling. If it wasn't clear the first time... you guys are on here at 2am (refreshing the page no less) trying to get your fame in on this site because really, no one cares outside of both these schools. The fact that Brad had to require members to sign on to this board to view it just shows you how many ucfers are on looking. Imagine how many ucfers we on here during the day when it's not required to sign on to view. Most over inflated egos in sports? Only in ucfs eyes... and that's because we own you in almost every sport. We own you in football, the basketball series is 18-5 in favor of USF (even with ucfs win today), not to mention soccer, volleyball, and every other sport minus baseball where USF only leads by a game or two. Sorry that we may seem confident/over inflated ego, but the scoreboards have been in our favor. Facts are facts and conference affiliation favors us. You guys? Looks like it's just me browsing. I rarely visit this site, I don't really care about you guys until we play a game. Not sure where you're going there. As for the ownership, you guys can deny it as much as you want, but you dodged playing UCF in football while we were up (1998-2002), you dodged playing us in hoops when we were up (2002-2005) and you can bet your athletic director will start dodging UCF again now that our programs are on the up and up. We're out-recruiting you in both hoops and football this year, and by many measures out recruited you in both sports last year too... Despite our terrible season and depsite you play in the best hoops conference in the nation. So, we'll see you guys in 2015 when UCF starts having some down years so you can keep pumping that record up. Did we not beat you 64-12 in UCF's BEST season ever? We dodged you during your best years? And you all wonder why we call you ucIF. Why not try to be consistent in football. We beat you when you finished 2nd in your conference in '05, beat you in your bad year in '06, beat you in your best year in '07, and beat you again this year on a bad year. Out recruiting us this year... last year? According to what site? Scout? Rivals? Espn? No No and No. And I'm not even a fan of rankings... what happens on the field/court is what counts. Basketball recruiting doesn't end until April and right now, rivals has us with 1 three star each and 1 "no stars" each. Also, we gain nothing by playing/beating you and we lose everything if we lose to a non-bcs school. We haven't lost to a non-bcs school since our CUSA days if I remember correctly (last year being '04). Join the BE and we can start it again.

ucIFers are getting their fame in at 2am on a USF site. Not shocking, really. What a joke. I swear they get off on the smallest things in sports.

I was at that game. There is a reason why I can't stand Thanksgiving weekend games. There were next to no students there(a good 12k missing right there). From what students have been saying, spending time with the family(away from campus) was more important than watching a 4-7 team stink it up. I can't argue with that. I'd say about 80% of season ticket turnout was there and there wasn't much in single game tickets. 23k being there is a fair assessment. Now, my green and gold friend, the big difference in this argument is that your attendance troubles are during games that should not have issues. Before this game, the season low for attendance was 40k for the Sunday ECU game. In fact, that Sunday game was the lowest since the stadium opened before the Thanksgiving game. UCF has historically had bad Thanksgiving weekend attendance, so weak numbers last week come to no surprise. 2008 - 23644 2006 - 23755 2004 - 12083 2003 - 12902 2002 - 12462 This comes from being a young school with a still growing fan base with a large majority of students not being commuters. Now, I don't expect you to get it, cause you rarely do, but all things considered, averaging slightly under 40k for a really bad season is a good indication that the fan base is growing and getting stronger. Dawg, how are you? Haven't seen you around lately. Anyway, let's not confuse people. You **** well know that those are announced numbers. I'm assuming we will never see the actual numbers since ucf owns the stadium and can release whatever number they want.
