  1. When did this stop being a message board and start becoming the CRM Fan Club? Thx.... BTW....who the hell erased my post and WHY?
  2. Are you donating for his Buyout? Woolard is waiting on those checks. That is a cop out....if the University is serious about having a quality men's program it could certainly afford to open up the purses to make it happen. Let's remember the facts: USF was invited to join the Big East but nobody forced us to join.
  3. How long before KL soils the board with an attendance link? Sorry KL, until your program beats anything resembling a collection of warm bodies UCiF will not be taken serious.
  4. After signing day...probably looking pretty good. Come July when kids have to enroll and be totally qualified...maybe not as good. Much like UCiF Fans.... During the offseason...everything looking great. Come Fall, when kids have to make plays against crappy CDOA teams.....maybe not as good.
  5. The timing is what kills me... Neither of these hires are going to sway any recruits over to WVU this year, thus they could have easily announced the changes after signing day. Moreover, considering the tragedy USF is still in the middle of dealing with, WVU could have used more class and waited. Instead he knew USF was vulnerable and declared War on USF. Not good...and there is bound to be some fallout.
  6. Seven Steps to USF Men's Basketball Fan Indifference... 1.  - Shocked that any program can have such bad luck... 2. :-? - Huh? Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse... 3. :-[ - Embarrassed that our progam is in such bad shape... 4.  - Sad b/c you hardly remember how a winning hoops program tastes like... 5. > - Angry that the program is sinking faster than CDOA football 6. :'(  -  Emotions take over and you cry about how hopeless things appear... 7. :  - Roll your eyes at the mounting losses as you no longer care...
  7. Here is an idea on how CRM's Men's basketball program can be useful: it can reduce it's coaching staff to just Coach McCullum. Afterall, he is going to run off his remaining assistants anyways....it can gut it's recruiting budget since transfer players don't need to be recruited....they come to us... it can get rid of all it's scholarships and just use walk-ons... What do all these things have in common? They are all designed to save money that can be put to better use for football, women's hoops, softball and baseball. It's not like any of these things would make the basketball program any worse...right? Heck if we really want to get creative, perhaps we can workout a deal with Mike Tranghese where we would be allowed to sub-lease our Big East basketball membership to UCF. They would love the attention and would likely be more competitive. We would always have an option to move back into our BigEast hoops slot if we ever decide to field a competive program again. I see this as a win-win for everyone.
  8. Actually I called him earlier this year and asked him if would rather have a coach like very media friendly Seth Greenberg who never won meaningful games or a coach like Jim Leavitt who doesn't want to be a media darling but wins games. He actually agreed with me and but said that CJL's tactics would backfire on him when his program went "bigtime" b/c "media hacks" (his words not mine) would hold a grudge. I responded that will be a good problem to have and perhaps the media will be fairer when USF does go "bigtime". He waited until I hung up before making some flippant "USF going bigtime?" kind of wise-ass remark.
  9. I was driving home when the news of Keeley's passing hit the airwaves. Dummy was in the middle of ripping Jose when the news "came across the wire". It was very awkward radio as he struggled to read the press release. There was no compassion in his voice, but rather disdain that he now looked like a schmuck for spending the first two hours ripping USF while the University was in crisis mode and mourning the passing of a 19 year old kid. I used to like his show, but as soon as WDAE became the official Bucs radio station, Dummy turned into gutless buccaneer sycophant.
  10. Wooly: it is one thing to not talk about USF b/c there isn't enough wide interest. I am okay with that b/c if we keep winning that will take care of itself. However it's another thing when he opens his big mouth and acts like he "is in the know" and throws the entire program under the bus with his ignorance.
  11. They don't call him Steve Dummy for nothing. Dummy only knows golf and the number of pimples on Mike Alstott's asss.
  12. We are all in our own minds....just like smazza
  13. he shouldn't smoke dope and fumble. Bad combination if you want to stay on the field and be given respect by his coaches and teammates. With ponton, we win at KU and probably against RU. He cost his team an 11 win season.
  14. I don't have to imagine, b/c I've been there when the Bulls have drawn sold out crowds and all three levels were pounding their collective feets into the floor. Talk about LOUD. I was there inthe early 1990s when the Bulls beat UL and the place went nuts! It can happen again with the right coach, players and fans who are given a chance to care again.
  15. 50% of the fans had to be for Louisville....from their perspective they got a great scrimmage.
  16. Sad but true.... I just don't care anymore.... > :'( :-[
  17. Thanks Greg, for all those haters of CRM, if he indeed is in his last year people will thank him down the road because of his long-term decisions.  It sucks now, but if it's CRM next year or another coach the positive is last year he didn't saddle us with a bunch of chumps that were not BE worthy and his selectiveness left us room to sign Aaron Holmes.  Next year having a nucleus of Holmes, Verdejo, Bozeman, Curry, Howard, Jones, Saaka, Gransberry, and Williams will at least give either CRM or a new coach something to work with including extra scholarships to try and add the quality, and depth needed. Oh come on.... Stop being so over-dramatic. Nobody hates CRM. In fact it would have been a nice story if he succeeded at USF, but for whatever the reason he has four years of misery. You can see it on his face today. I feel bad for the guy b/c he has nothing but bad luck. He has also made some bad decisions. That is what I am holding him accountable on....not whether or not I hate the guy. Other than him sitting in front of me and USFFan at the Alabama game I never met the guy to have any real feelings of hate. Listen.....I doubt CRM entered the season, hoping to "save" to scholarships for the future. What happened was that he struck out on the recruiting trail last year and was forced to eat the scholarships. Sure he probably did the smart thing in not wasting the scholarships, but based on our depth problems during his first THREE years he needed to make sure that he wouldn't be caught shorthanded yet again. Bottom Line: you can't build a program around transfers, at some point you have to build the program so its a program kids want to attend and you have to win some recruiting battles.
  18. Why did we lose? Simple: lack of depth (again) zero points contributed by the bench (again) lack of any offensive movement (disturbing new trend) bad shot selection (see Buckley and Mattis) bad positioning for rebounds players not coming off picks lack of experience no true leader to stir emotion on the court engrained culture of losing no enthusiasm....looks like our players are going through the motions. Oh this last one probably has a little to do with it: Pitt's players are better than ours Folks....this has nothing to do with darkside or whatever. This is just a bad mismash of basketball players that are still learning to play together under the worst of circumstances. You can be pro or anti-CRM but the reasons I listed above are blatantly obvious and has been a trademark of USF hoops since before CRM arrived on campus. The same vacant stares we see nowadays were all too common under Darth Greenberg.
  19. It's not bad luck, but rather lack of proper roster management. Injuries happen to everyone. Unfortunately, they seem to  strike our Bulls more often than others. With that said, why didn't CRM use all his available scholarships to secure a full roster for the first time in his tenure? CRM knew that he couldn't count on Cann and Howard b/c of lingering injuries, thus he should have done a beter job in recruiting. I realize that he probably didn't want to "waste" a scholarship on just a body, but there were a lot of serviceable JUCO players that he could have signed to serve as an insurance policy.  Instead he decided to sit on two scholarships, depth be damned! It's the same excuse every year for the last 4...and from the looks of things we are probably won't use all of our scholarships this year since interest in USF hoops is at an all-time low. BTW....please don't dump into that darkside crap. This is a legitimate question that anyone who cares about USF basketball should be asking: why are we ALWAYS shorthanded?
  20. It wouldn't be an attendance thread w/o KnightLife the attendance whore not making an appearance. His parents must be soooo proud :
  21. I heard that from Marve's personal trainer at the YMCA that Marve was going to Montana State. I have no reason or natural inclination to lie since I am not a UCF fan. honest truth....he is going to Montana State.
