  1. How do I make it so that responses to this thread don't show on my unread replies list?
  2. Have to agree a LARGE majority of goose's posts have a pro UCF vibe to them. Maybe that's just me
  3. PLEASE win me 11 or 12 games at USF BTW, that's PER YEAR, not PER CAREER! > Exactly
  4. Holtz isn't playing Eveld, he is playing BJ. Eveld is just a place holder on the 2-deep to buy time for Gunsby to groom. Place holder? You can read the coach's mind? By the way, Gunsby is so much the future they have committed for next season 2 QBs and are still recruiting Jacoby Brisset. That's what I believe based on the circumstances with which Gunsby/Eveld were acquired by USF. I didn’t say Gunsby was a guarantee; just that he is the best option for the future out of the current candidates. Because he is no guarantee, naturally, you wouldn’t just stop recruiting QBs. If Gunsby is truly the future it makes more sense to red shirt him this season than give him garbage minutes. He's not going to beat out BJ this year. Holtz and Fitch are committed to BJ. Gunsby will have plenty of opportunity to get garbage minutes next season. A true freshman will look just as confused as BJ out there with this receiving core and pass protection. If we are going to lose with either QB, I say lose with Gunsby. I don't see them as garbage minutes; I see them as time on the job training if he is playing while the game is still winnable. I’d like to avoid as much garbage time as possible next year. I’m sure he would look as confused as BJ, but at least he would gain experience to build on during a loss that we'll apparently suffer either way. Heck, there’s an outside chance he’d execute. But if he's not really going to play any better (which is what the coaches think from watching practice and red shirting him), then it's better to give him time to learn the system before throwing him into the fire. He's a freshman, he's got a whole lot to learn text book wise in the college game. No sense in burning a year of eligibility for no better results on the field. He can pick up the minutes next year if BJ is still struggling and then have 3 more years of eligibility to go instead of 2. Gunsby was a bit of a reach as a recruit. He was an unevaluated player that came from virtually no where at the last minute when Skip pulled Carnes scholarship. Gunsby was picked up for depth. If he becomes the starting QB at USF it's added bonus, but it's not why he's here. So your saying the guys these coaches were coaching to be their guy at ECU is a reach and not a good qb? Are you saying he is not a system qb? Maybe he is not a Big East qb? I am confused as to what you ate trying to say. How was he a reach? At least by his recruiting film I saw he scanned the field to find his open WR. Daniels hasn't shown he can do that
  5. We need a PF/C and a true PG. High "quality" players would be good.
  6. Coach has got me excited about Knowles.
  7. Griffin is a prototypical WR. Not having him will hurt
  8. One loss would have to be UM or UF One loss would be in conference. That would be a perfect 10 win regular season.
  9. Change the names and it could almost be the same write up this year. Almost. Key players injured, worst in penalties, more beef upfront.
  10. Heath's should have had a contract in hand as soon as he said "I'm not scared of a challenge. I can get the job done." The guy can recruit (3 straight top 20 classes), coach (Kent State to Elite Eight), and BCS conference winner (82 wins, 71 losses)!
  11. That is 100% correct. Shoot Auburn thought we would be their 1-A cupcake. Now let's go kick their donkeys!
  12. Same way Illinois gets a "Top 15" class two years in a row!
  13. Last I checked OSU beat 2 Top 25 teams. Also, if they want to make it happen, a playoff can happen!
  14. We will not start next year ranked in the top 25. We should be on the radar (assuming victory on SAT) to start the year. We will have to earn it by going 3-0 or 4-0. Yes, We need to beat Auburn. If we play 12 games to our utmost potential and with consistency we could have a great 2007!
  15. How can the number be 6-8 K when last year we had 5K and this year looks about the same?
  16. He did not ask you to donate anything. He said he wants to see 10,000 BULLS fans at the game. I think tha is reasonable. Another post somewhere suggested to buy an extra ticket or 2 and donate it to a student ($30/ticket). $30 is less than 0.1% of the average US salary. That is more in line with CJL donating about 30 tickets. I am just saying don't ask a man to donate more of his yearly salary than you would be willing to donate.
