    I'll say it again, by this time next year we'll be planning our move into an on campus stadium for 2020. its happening.

    Raymond James at 30% capacity and rows of empty seats is a ****** atmosphere. Does winning help offset those issues? Absolutely. the on campus stadium is coming. I wouldn't be shocked if we don't have the announcement by the beginning of next season. Whether people like it or not

    Then why put money into football at all? Realistically, football isn't going anywhere.

    I agree with this completely. Always have, and I've been to a lot of really ****** MAC games. That being said I think a lot of that has to do with a 35,000 crowd in a 65,000 seat stadium. Just so cavernous. also, the school has come a long way from the stale environment they blasted in the mid 2000s to today. They've gone great lengths to make USF games more college centric.

    I don't think there is much out there that people can throw behind that answer outside of perception. Maybe some sort of conference-gate share (which I'm not sure exists). That being said, I'm sure if it IS an issue that USF has learned through the attempted Big 12 push and are currently making the moves to show we're moving towards an on campus venue.

    I mean, football is much more of an event than basketball. I don't think attendance will drop drastically with a OCS I think the OCS plans by the school are more about developing the campus than just putting butts in seats. i agree that now is a real time to do it IF you're going to do it

    I mean, outside of FSU, when was the last time we legitimately had 50k? Not even a good team last year drew well. If they decide on 40k to throw money behind other parts I'd have no issues.

    It's been long proven that the majority of those recent figures were inflated. Likewise, attendance 10 years ago is just a different beast it today's market. 40-50k with room to expand is perfect.

    Football is just a different event than basketball. To even compare the two is absurd. Outside of a handful of schools, attendance isn't great at college football

    The numbers say basketball is a distant second behind soccer and is growing.

    No. It's going to bite those without contracts in the behind. The next AAC contract is going to be negotiated next year, and it's not going to be pretty in this cost cutting world. All major sports networks are in a crunch after losing millions of subscriber fees.

    They're building a new lockerroom for the Bucs, and they don't want us in it. Not sure how this chop blocks an OCS.
