  1. you can beat almost anyone if you shoot 50%+ from 3. especially if you take 23 a game.
  2. what's funny is these schools have made it all about the $$. FSU and clemson are much better off in the acc from a competitive standpoint. they will make the playoffs far more often. they will have much better records year over year compared to playing in the sec. only their fans will lose out. watch what happens to OU. they have won the big 12 14 times since 2000 and have played in the 4 team playoffs 4 times. That's winning your conference 60% of the time. good luck with that in sec. Nebraska won 9 division championships in big 12 in the 14 years they were in it. they have won 1 in the big 10 in the 12 years there and none since 2012. that program is a shell of it's former self.
  3. why do people assume that FSU CAN leave? they made a public plea earlier this year saying they were ready to go and they heard crickets. maybe the big 10 and sec have no interest
  4. you could suspend them from all team activities or move them to some sort of designation similar to the medical scholarship when guys can't play anymore. Look how many top QBs are on the move again. guy from oregon state, guy from ohio state, ucf's old qb that went to oklahoma is on the move again. it will be free agency every year if they don't come up with some solution.
  5. only a matter of time before schools have to share their revenue. I bet they could have avoided all the transfer stuff if scholarships were 4 year contracts instead of just one.
  6. my bad. Just assumed the league was gimmicky like pro wrestling. is he not coaching there anymore?
  7. very true he coached birmingham in the usfl. all the league games were played there I believe. I think they just loaded that team to try and drive fan interest in the area.

In 2021, the most popular Bachelors Degree concentrations at Vanderbilt University...
  9. I bet it's like that for a lot of their games. I have uf friends that go every other year because nashville is a great trip.
  10. I stand corrected. Still wouldn't want to go (0-8)2-10 year after year just so we could play an sec schedule and hope to beat uf once in awhile
  11. except the stadium wouldn't be full..... nary a sellout this year. not even for #1 Georgia. barely 70% full(28,500). just another 2-10 (0-8) season for them. nothing out of the ordinary. 12. no one has ever been auto included until next year. not the sec. not the acc. not the big 10. everyone but sec is on board with this. BTW even if they go to top 12(which nobody wants but sec) g5 will have more access than ever. look back and see how many top 12 g5 teams there have been. if you think they can exclude the entire g5 when we have 5 votes then you are sadly mistaken. I'm assuming you meant conference consolidation not playoff expansion. I have said in the past I believe sec and big 10 may break off eventually and form an nfl lite. maybe they take a few more teams with them. it's the only way g5 will be excluded.
  13. it's a mess every year. rarely does it ever work out where everyone agrees. it's why following the nfl model where top conference winners get a spot will be nice. then the subjectivity can begin. smu had 2 losses. if tulane had won then they would have gotten in over liberty even with 1 loss.
  14. well you aren't most people. blowouts and noncompetitive games are routinely the lowest rated games. Michigan v Bama is a 1 point spread. Georgia v fsu is 14 points. it sucks that they hand pick playoff reps but that will be changing somewhat next year when top 6 conference champs are guaranteed. then we can complain about how unfair it is that the 13th team didn't get in instead of the 5th.
  15. the system is becoming more inclusive and far more equitable. sorry you don't see it that way. g5 will have more access than they have ever before. sec and big 10 can walk anytime they want to and I have said i believe they will someday but that is the only way they will get out of including the g5 in an expanded playoff.
  16. you still don't seem to get it. they will never have the votes to exclude the g5. it's as simple as that. the only thing big 10 and sec can do is walk away.
  17. when would you turn it off? How much of the iowa v michigan game did you watch?
  18. you honestly don't have a clue. the 2nd article stated sec commissioner wanted to go to top 12 ranked . he said nobody agreed with him. heck they couldn't even get it changed to top 5 instead of top 6 conference champs for next 2 years. you do realize the rules are made by the management committee which includes ALL of the g5 commissioners, right? there are now 10 voting members. 5 of those are from g5 conferences. we are no longer part of the minority. the rules aren't made by sec and big 10 commissioners alone. at this point I honestly believe you are just trolling. you can't be this oblivious. the only way sec or big 10 can flex their muscles is by breaking off. oh and the only one to suggest top 12 ranked was sec. none of the other 10 voters wanted it.
  19. I get the texas argument . I really do. unfortunately they couldn't put alabama in without texas who beat them and they weren't going to put fsu in over bama.
  20. yeah I get that but they were throwing fsu a bone. no way they wanted them in with a 3rd string qb. nobody would watch
  21. you do realize the management committee who decides the rules is made up of 10 conference commissioners and ND ,right? that means g5 now has as many votes as the p4 + ND with the pac 12 gone. nobody but the sec commissioner wanted the top 12 ranked teams. hell they had to keep it at top 6 conference champs for the next two years even without pac 12 so we have an even greater chance as the top 2 g5 ranked champs will get in. I can see them going to 5 but there is no way they can do any better unless they break off. listen I get it, you hate our situation and think there is nothing redeeming about it. fact is we are far better off now with the expansion and more likely to make the playoffs than a lot of bottom dwellers in the p5. there is no way they can exclude the g5 when we have 5 commissioners out of 10 votes on our side. 22. Texas beat the sec champ. otherwise georgia gets in over them and fsu
  23. there are only 4 spots. the champs from the 4 best conferences were chosen. sucks the acc was down this year.
  24. funny but they have been letting a g5 into the NY6 bowls every year. I understand that you think they will pull the rug out from under but until it actually happens you have no proof that it will. heck they could just as easily pull it out from under the acc or big 12. playoff expansion is good for everyone. the fact that they threw a crumb (1 autobid out of 12) to the entire g5 doesn't mean a thing to them.
