  1. Past BYU looks to be a top 15 team. Top10 O-line in county with NFL talent. Favored Saturday over No. 9 Baylor. Looked like the difference between 2-3 star players vs 3-4 star players. A lot of our players still look like skinny high school players. May be age difference too as BYU has older players but look at game pics....it seemed like it was filled out men vs boys at times. BYU's one weakness on defense may have been secondary speed. Should have kept throwing over the top early and often.....more TE plays, they worked. Our small receivers couldn't block on screens so stop doing that with good teams. Our secondary looked worse than last year....no excuse for not expecting a hurry up offense and not getting calls in. Play press coverage and bump these guys at the line. Rather give up 2-3 long ones a game than 20 underneath. Looks like the Big 3 is back. Obviously the best time for USF to start IPF was 15 years ago and OCS 10 years ago. Next best time is now. Louisville looks worse than expected and ECU looks better than expected. Future Need to handle Howard with ease and work on all the plays. We are desperate and beyond the not showing UF and UL what we run on offense. Play UF competitively like in the 2nd half last year. They will beat UK this weekend and likely be a Top 15 team along with BYU next week. Louisville game is a must win....especially if University of Chainlink Fence handles them easily tonight. They will likely be 0-3 when we play them. ECU game is a must win or there will be no chance at bowl eligibility. Who will be the starting QB for USF to open the stadium vs Miami? Is it a redshirted Freshman we already have on roster or is it High School Sophomore that we use this scenario to recruit a stud? Can we get good enough by 2026 to have College Gameday help open the stadium with us.
  2. Stopped by to check status of IPF on way home: https://www.thebullspen.com/gallery/category/261-fan-pictures-tailgate-in-game-fans-players-spirit-band-etc/ Thoughts: - Thought it would be further along. Still leveling dirt inside. - You can tell from the one picture how high the foundation is above the level of Sycamore drive...looks to be at least 4 feet higher at the one spot. - Still don't understand the HVAC system. It looks like it is the same as the Bucs IPF with just a couple vent openings and without any ducts running down length of facility. - Assume the ministries will be relocated, the road will be renamed and half the strip can be tailgate parking and other can be food / bar plaza (not sure what the rules are about putting stuff...lease like Publix is doing ?) for OCS.
  3. Assume the only reason that LSU is allowed to run the last play and we were not is because they made a first down on the final play. I contend that the ucf player that thought they intercepted it took the ball to the sideline not allowing us to run a last play. Delay of game with one untimed down would have been the proper call. Refs and review booth last year made an assumption we could not get one more play off. Looks like the Big 3 is back.
  4. Well then get out the BleachBit and hammers and move that home server out of the bathroom.
  5. Florida rodeo: Bull escapes holding pen, runs around stadium A bull escaped its holding pen at a rodeo on the Florida State Fairgrounds on Aug. 27 and ran around the stadium, video taken by a spectator shows. In Tampa, at the fairgrounds no less, exactly a week before the season starts. Note: Cowboy and horse at the end have some mad skills. So as long as we don't play any cowboys this season....we good!
  6. Some updates and questions on IPF: New 360 video walkaround was posted last week: OpenSpace Also, if you did not notice before, you can go to the layout map of the facility and select floor 2 and see the views from 2nd floor and observation deck. More images provided on previous 360 from last month. Questions: They are going to lay the artificial turf on a packed soil bed as if it was an outdoor field? Is that how all of the other IPFs around have done? Figure there would be like a 4-6" cement base. What is the deal with the two A/C towers. Originally thought they were access to video camera decks on both ends of the field. Assume the bottom opening is return and top will blow out to tubing that will run down both sides of field. UF IPF has one end that feeds both tubes. Indoor Practice Facility Indoor Practice Facility Likely a better design to have each source only have to go to the 50. Can we get indoor pics from this week....said they were putting in the field?
  7. Way to take my topic off on many tangents. This is something what I thought crowd sourcing the board for ideas would be generating (see attached image): OCS: Baselined with Baylor's new stadium. Essentially a horseshoe with North endzone open for expansion. Beyond the North Endzone and the video board would be Alumni Lagoon. Alumni Lagoon would consist of lazy river connected to lagoon style walk-in pool with plenty of beach sand and palm trees around. There are many hotels in Florida with this design. By placing the area outside the North side of the stadium it will not interfere with game going on in any way and can remain there permanently after any expansion. The area would remain open to the students on some type of reservation system and would be part of the campus recreation system (source of additional funding for it?). For us Alumni, we would be funding most of it. After a hot day game, you would easily reserve a $50-$100 spot in the lagoon to cool off and watch highlights of our game and/or the rest of the college football day. Mutliple large screen tvs would be dotted around the lagoon. A day pass would include watching college football after our day game in the IPF on the TV screens. If you build it, they will come (recruits and alumni). Make it so!
  8. Was at the last Coaches' Caravan event in Fort Lauderdale and met Coach Scott for first time. Very impressed with his presentation. I will keep any player/personnel information heard out of this thread. I only want to mention new information on these two facilities that I have not heard before even from others that attended these previous events. Making this a separate topic from the other two OCS and IPF threads only because of the last bullet item below on the OCS (I was blown away thinking of the possibilities that we could come up with that would garner national attention at every game). Indoor Performance Facility - No completion date set. Due to weather and most likely due to material issues, Coach Scott was told it could be some time in the Fall (this shocked me as I thought a mid August date would be reasonable). - He sees the IPF being used by not only Football and the rest of the sports teams but he expects students and alumni to have many events in there as well. Need to have a large TV screen bigger than some of the renderings show for watch parties. - He showed renderings of the IPF on the inside that I have not seen before which after seeing them only supports the ranking I have below. The new ones showed apparently go with this one as the facility is being built on the outside exactly to this: https://twitter.com/USFFootball/status/1436018328842080256/photo/1 - When finished, considers it to be one of the nicest in the country. (from a previous thread, I ranked the State IPFs as the following, added other 2 NFL teams) USF - just a clean design inside and out, entryway atrium and observation deck nobody else has, all white interior with flush insulation on ceiling Buccaneers - like the ground windows but is more barn like than USF Dolphins - everything exposed on the inside like there was never thought of adding insulation UF - very similar to USF but exterior is lacking and they put too many garage door openings to the grass fields FSU - goodness gracious they tried too hard to match the brick and look of Doak Campbell (which is just an erector set with a nice brick facade) and again way too many door openings. UM - Couldn't make it even a 100 yds as they have a street in the way on the one end. Left the interior structure dark and factory looking Jaguars - OMG, it is like a circus tent....it might be worse than Cs but considering both are crap, new crap is better than old crap University of Chainlink Fence - **** a doodle dooo, Not always best to be first in the state with the IPF that should be storing hay bales and not practicing football at. On Campus Stadium - Was told by finance/construction folks that getting the stadium done in 2026 instead of 2027 could be a savings in material costs of up to $15 million. - With the new football facility and locker rooms sitting between the stadium and the IPF, they would be able to go 100 feet to the North and be in the stadium or 100 feet to the South and be in the IPF. Said no other school in the country would have this convenience. - Would assume that the new football facility would then have the home locker room for the stadium and that would open space under the stadium for something else (unless it is built under the South endzone bleachers). - Has many people in community already offering to buy suites when available. And here is the kicker that you folks need to run with and provide ideas and illustrations (we got to get someone with architectural / landscaping design background to draw some ideas up) - He envisions an initial U shape design with the North end open and some type of water features there for the students like at least a pool area. Future expansion would then close this area up but it may be too popular by then. Can you imagine, Jacksonville can have their crappy little pool but we could put a big lagoon style pool with beach area and palm trees. Could have raffles for 100 sober students to use each game with one game being for club members/alumni etc. You wanted incentives for rental income on the side during the offseason...there you go. Could have sponsorship by Adventure Island and even have it done by the Lucas Lagoons and get a national tv shot of it being built. You want to get national interest in both local sellouts and high tv ratings, put a beach and lagoon pool 30 yards behind the North end zone. Short of going Savannah Bananas with promotional crap, this and some AAC championships will get us in the correct conference within 5 years. Show us your endzone ideas and possible sponsors (ie. Lucas Lagoons, Margaritaville, Adventure Island, Hooters, Publix, Ron Jons.....)
  9. It is translucent. This rendering from USF Football twitter is the only one that I have seen that matches what they are building exactly (every opening and wall section match it). https://twitter.com/USFFootball/status/1436018328842080256/photo/1
  10. Last panel of the West Roof just went on at 12:15PM.
  11. Rank - The first four are essentially the same design. UM spent a lot of money to get their mini-field. 1 - USF IPF - 100 yds plus endzones, painted white truss system 1 - Buccaneers IPF - 100 yds plus endzones, painted white truss system 1 - FSU IPF - 100 yds plus endzones, painted white truss system 1 - UF IPF - 100 yds plus endzones, painted white truss system 2 - UM IPF - 70 yds plus endzones, steel color truss system (check out the sat images, they ran out of room to do a full 100yds with a road in the way) 10 - UCF IPF - 100 yds plus endzones, steel color truss system, add some hay and animals and you got a barn....surprised the University of Chainlink Fence does not have extensive use of the chainlink in there like they do in the bounce house and surrouding their outdoor fields.
  12. If you are watching the FAU vs UF game right now, it is obvious the Gators don't have a QB right now. They are not doing what Bama did today with a first start QB. If NC St played Gators this week, they would have easily beat them. Gators D may be 13 th ranked, but their offense is not close. Now FAU is likely playing ten times better than we can next week but we have nothing to lose and we will see if our coaching can simulate what FAU is doing defensively to them tonight.
  13. He does look like the real deal and hopefully this gets Clemson on the future schedule. We are 1-0 vs the Tigers where BJ tore them up in the bowl game. Looks like he was on staff during that game.
  14. I would expect the coaching staff and/or students to be placing these signs all over campus for our football team to see. Staff should start film study this week by just showing that one play, stop the projection, drop the remote and walk the frick out of the room. May need something gut wrenching like that to get fired up for this big W. Remember, its a 4th quarter somewhere!
  15. Jim N' Nicks was much better than Dreamland last year.....cheesy biscuits was a bonus.
  16. SW corner of Libra and Gemini, across from the water tower is where many Bulls have had tailgating in last 2 games there. 2013 Bulls outfitters had the huge rocky inflatable staked down there and 2015, the Green Bulls bus was set up. I will have the 8ft rocky inflatable going this year. Set up early before ucf fans get a chance to.
  17. Southwest corner of Gemini and Libra across from the UCF water tower has been the Bulls tailgating location for at least our last two games there in 2015, 2013. Would arrive early though as it is free but somewhat of walk to stadium.
  18. We had a helicopter flyover on a nationwide Thurs/Friday game that we lost to Pitt with Grothe at QB and the last one since that I can remember was at least 5 years ago with c130 flyover. You would think with our highly recognised rotc program and MacDills proximity, we would get at least one a season.
  19. Heard from the TV announcers at the start of last week's FSU game that their flyover was done by MacDill AFB. Now if they jetted up to Tallahassee for that bad team and game and they don't go ten miles North for ours, we got issues. No excuses now that the weather is looking perfect for Saturday. Anybody in the know? When was the last time we had a flyover for a Bulls Game ...... years ago?
  20. UCiFs mascot looks like Marvin the Martian (Bugs Bunny) Marvin's response on the night of 11/24: "What Happened?" We will be sending the Knights(Marvin) "to the pit of misery ..... dilly dilly"
  21. I just completed this quiz. My Score 10/100 My Time 42 seconds
  22. Someone please put a meme together of Q jumping over the rocks to the open ocean like Willie did.......has to get to staff that he has to be free to run a more open play selection.
  23. Mark Harlan mentioned at the Memphis tailgate party prior to the game that we should have heard the time from ESPN this past Monday. Apparently ESPN is waiting on results from this weekend's games? Anybody hear anything?
