  1. I'm sure I will wake up in the morning and say "those **** students chanting overrated cost a top 25 ranking!". I don't necessarily like it but it doesn't bother me like the "showers" chant does.
  2. I never said you were whining and this is not a topic about USF athletics.
  3. Is this about USF athletics? I must be on the wrong board. I'm getting sick of the whining which I can see this turning into.
  4. I just tried it and I don't think your share link will work. USF vpn access works though.
  5. I don't like your attitude.....but yes. Fireworks, after usf wins the big east.
  6. The bigeast website polls are too easy to manipulate. All you have to do is turn off cookies and hit vote as fast as you can. It's fun to see us on top though.
  7. I'm not sure Beck would be bad to bring in. I feel like Callahan create the problem with the way they treated him like a hero. They even asked him if it was ok for them to recruit Taylor. He came off shoulder surgery in the spring and after a summer where he started winning over teammates and lost 20 lbs, ended up getting demoted to 4th string. Some people respond to motivation like that but some do not.
  8. They didn't get free....just cheaper. Besides, I always viewed it as a strategy to have kids dream of becoming a bull. The school was not hurting to allow these kids to have these seats. They would have never been filled. When I lived in Colorado Springs, the air force academy gave the same deal. While I didn't grow up wanting to be in the air force I will always remember all those great games I saw. I fell in love with the college football atmosphere. In a way I was hoping the day would come when every seat would be too valuable to give away at the price they were offering for the junior bulls. I just didn't think it would have been this soon. I can afford it but I probably won't be bringing the for year old daughter. She would only watch the cheerleaders anyway....of course I had a tendency to do that too.
  9. It actually isn't cheaper than getting a babysitter. Have you ever taken a child to any sporting event, fair, etc.? Cotton candy is expensive! Previously the tickets for all the games was 25 dollars. Now it is 20 for 3 games. The other three it seems we have to pay full admission for them. Sadly, that probably won't happen. I'll be there but the kids probably won't.
  10. Beck is from Clearwater....Just throwing it out there. http://journalstar.com/articles/2006/08/05/huskerextra/doc44d52a7e978cf192281949.txt
  11. I don't quite understand it myself. I never understood the draw to myspace. Back in day we would create our own web pages on the space we got from our isp and use irc to chat.
  12. Joybubbles?!?! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joybubbles
  13. It is a scout.com board. I think they have to pay for the link on the top.
  14. It was the main article and image on front page of the women's section yesterday.
  15. That's a great idea.....give the bowl revenue to Kyle Bronson.
  16. BloomTown, I did the same thing. I don't have many regrets in my life but this is one them. I felt that I owed my parents a scholarship for all the support that they had given me during high school so I gave up my opportunity to play 1A. It was the worst decision of my life and I lost all passion to play the game when I got there. I played as a freshman and was to be a starter my sophomore year but it wasn't what I really wanted so I quit and attempted to go play else where but nothing ever panned out. I guess my point is...I think it would be a real shame for Kyle Bronson and his family to let money get in the way of chasing a dream. Hopefully that would not be the only reason why he would leave.
  17. If we didn't have the Junior bulls section then I probably would be at home. I think it is unfortunate that I feel this way. I'm not trying to shelter my kids from the realities of the world but I don't want them growing up thinking that is perfectly acceptable to get trashed and say whatever the f__k they want to say in public.
  18. Unfortunately we had a row of potty mouthed students behind us at the bowl game. They were also throwing peanuts at NCState fans and the cameraman below us. I was embarrassed to have them associated with our university. It kind of ruined the game for us. I don't expect a football game to be like going church but I do expect people to tone their expletives down when they know there are kids around.
  19. hmmmm.....how bout a church pianist. I won't post my source but if you don't want your life to be in the public then don't post it on the internet!!!
  20. That is our planned time for leaving also. Although, I have two kids(4&6) so being there by 11 or 12 may not be realistic.
  21. Of course me being born a husker, I have to dispute the Michigan got screwed posts. ;D The last play had both teams on the field with Michigan players being more as a threat to disrupting the play. The last lateral seemed to be forward and the refs were scrambling and way out of position to see anything. I really do think they packed it in and left after the first few tosses to avoid getting lynched by both teams. With that being said the officiating was horrible but it went both ways. It was only fitting that they botched the last play but that one really could have been called on either team.
  22. I had to go look up and see who Art Fleming was......before my time. ;D
