Yeah on myspace, a guy I've known for years posted a BULL-etin about how excited he was that his favorite team won. That was the first time I've ever heard him talk about college football.

Because people came on here and said the only reason he was hired was he was black Ari. Apparently it wasnt you when he was hired, but there was somebody who said it then IIRC. He went from 7-21 to 21-7 in 3 years at his previous job. He worked for Lon Kruger. He was the up and coming coach to give a shot to that so many wanted at the time. He was hired before we knew we were going to be in the Big East. Again, as Trip as mentioned before, his first year was rebuilding there was nothing here to work with. He has made many mistakes w/ recruiting, etc. (I think as a floor coach he is much better than Greenberg ever was here). We have beaten more ranked teams than any other coach in USF history. But it does come to the point where something does need to happen. Again, we have more talent than we've had here in a long time this year. If we dont make the conference tournament this season, there WILL be a new head coach next year. (I think I'm going to save this, that way I can save myself the trouble of retyping it during/after every game).

Wow, even if he doesnt come, most people dont believe a word you say anyway. And I'm not sure Marve would just talk about the process w/ some random guy in the gym. However, if it is true that he has absouletly no intention of coming to USF, then I would hope we would quit wasting our time on him.

I believe it would be an NCAA violation for anyone associated w/ USF to comment on a specific recruit who has not signed a letter of intent/ (or possibly in this case, enrolled in school yet).

I have made my study into a Bulls Room as well. We have one of the posters that says Welcome to Bulls Country framed, w/ pom poms hanging on the sides of the frames, the basketball teams schedule poster on another wall, tickets hanging up, etc. If you want to do a football theme, I've seen somewhere a throw rug in the shape of a football w/ the iconic U on it. (I think they have a basketball one too)

I'm tired of hearing about OSU too, but I'm a Floridian and would have to put up w/ the gay-tors (not to mention seeing people wear all their crap on campus), so I hope OSU wins by 30.

Just fyi, Tyrone played mostly RB in high school(I was a student at Riverview when he played there), and he had a pretty serious injury his junior year of hs (broke his leg I think). He signed w/ Michigan St. and transfered to Iowa St. after his first year. I dont know him personally, but I do remember thinking how big he was seeing him walking through school, that was about 3 years ago.

Yeah I was hoping to be the only team in the state to win a bowl game this year. F$U already screwed up that, hopefully Nevada will beat Miami tommorow.

I'm not really sure exactly, but I believe its a stop to get eligible for college. I'm not sure how they decide, some players defer enrollment until January, while working on test scores on their own, so I guess its more for grade issues than test scores. Also, I think its for people that might be closer academically than some, b/c apparently you have four years of eligibility out of prep school as opposed to going to a JUCO and it counting towards eligibility. The best example(I think) is Larry Fitzgerald a few years ago. He went pro after his true sophomore season, but he appealed to go early b/c he spent one year at a prep school. I'm sure somebody else has a better explanation, but thats my understanding of it.

I'm happy BC is losing Clemson lost, but the two more important ones for the Big East vs. acc debate is WVU beat Georgia Tech and Louisville beat Wake for the head to head score. And I hope Miami loses to Nevada.

I'm scared this will make this into another 5 page thread, but you complain when we lose that CRM should be fired, so then we beat an ACC team on national television that nobody thought we'd beat, get a play on sportscenters top plays shown at least 20 times on reruns, etc, and you complain that you'd rather have him lose so he'd be fired. Huh?  And in the words of Herm Edwards, "you play to win the game!" And before I get jumped on for this, no this doesnt mean I think he should get a 5 year extention, it means this is why I wanted to wait and see how we do in conference play.

And for that, I blame USF. Ian is a prime example of the rest of the tampa sports fans. USF needs to market better. This game was a perfect opportunity to get the south tampa/downtown area excited about USF sports. From Gandy Blvd, the USF campus may as well be in Ocala. Shoop, I disagree a little with you on this specific game. (Overall, I agree though). This game also has been marketed by the Forum ALL season, every Lightning game on TV(which is all but 1 or 2) has done a promo for this doubleheader(and the womens vs. Vandy, uf-famu game). So in this specific case, it is Ian being an idiot. But again, overall I agree we need a little better marketing on that side of town.

Good for the conference. It'd be awesome for the BIG EAST to go 5-0 this post season. And I'm glad we arent in that game b/c it'd be a lack of publicity. ESPN doesnt mention/promote it since they dont have it and most people across the country dont have NFL Network.

I'm not really sure I want Hill to come back. He seemed to have an attitude problem when he was here that he either was better than everyone else or he didnt want to be here. Just the way I interperted the way he acted. He'll probably play WR now.
