  1. Data, I agree with you. The fact that Bianchi can change his mind shows that he isn't stuck in one one gear. We have to keep going the way we are, and then the negative remarks, especially by the media, will die. Any positive publicity we get is good. GO BULLS!!!!
  2. Shoop, I don't generally talk negatively about people, and especially USF fans who post on the board......but you are a moron. I am not talking only with regard to your remarks on Pat's success or lack of success, but of your acerbic way of denegrading anyone who disagrees with you. Wake up and realize that your way of thinking is not everyone's, and your attitude for lack of a better word S_U_C_K_S!!!! Because of you (and I am not singling out only you) and some other posters on the board, you lost the benefit of some very intelligent and thought provoking posts by someone I appreciate. Do everyone a favor and GET A LIFE!
  3. And by the way, Tampa Born Bull, aside from the slur on a very special person in my life.......your photos were great.
  4. Those shades are not sun glasses. They are prescription glasses with tinting. And believe me, I do know that for a fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I posted this on another thread earlier: Last year we had the 7th hardest strength of schedule. That is also an important thing to take into consideration especially if we want to get into the top 25 and be there consistently. I firmly believe that we will at some point next year be in the top 25, but in order to make the type of inroads we want, we need to schedule our OOC games with quality teams. This next year Auburn and North Carolina will be the only games outside our conference which will assist us in getting there.
  6. USF is ranked by the powers that be as #2 in the State of Florida. However, I agree with the thinking that in order for us to be truly considered a true power team in the state we will have to beat at least one if not two of the big 3, and on a regular basis. Last year we had the 7th hardest strength of schedule. That is also an important thing to take into consideration especially if we want to get into the top 25 and be there consistently.
  7. Let's hope in the end he decides to stay the extra year. As I said in another thread, having that diploma is at the very least protection against not making it in the NFL. When Mike finishes up his college career, I would hope that he would get picked in the first or second round. I don't at this point in time see him going on the first day. Mike, if you read this board, think long and hard before you make a decision that might in the end be harmful for you. Good luck either way.
  8. JoeB, Marve might think that his best chance to be the starting QB would be at Miami, I don't know. Assuming he comes to USF, he'd in all probability be redshirted his first year. He would then have to compete with Grothe and Voss for either the starting or back up spot. Although I would love to see him stay in Hillsborough County, I have mixed emotions. Yes, I would love to see him at USF because the more strength we have in our offensive the better. I can, however, see it from his point of view, getting the opportunity to be the starting QB. Don't forget he did verbal to Alabama. He is still waiting, I am sure, to find out who the new coach there will be. So, basically it is still up in the air. At this point in time, I do not see Matt being supplanted as our number one QB, nor would I want him to be. GO BULLS!!!
  9. Brad, I am unable to logon. Please e-mail me my password. Also it said my screen name is bad. What the heck happened. LOL
  10. My husband wanted to leave the car flag on while driving back. I told him it would snap doing 80, so we took it off. I guess I was right. LOL We left right after the game and the highway was packed with USF cars all the way to Tampa.
  11. When we got back ESPN or ESPN2 was showing a repeat of the game at around 3 AM. They edited out some parts. Her are some highlights from ESPN along with an interview with Coach Leavitt. http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/ivp/index?id=2707397
  12. Although Pat lost the starting position this year, he came through where and when needed. He is a class act. He has been a true team player. It was great to see him with the trophy and he will be missed as a leader and teacher. I know he will be successful in whatever he does and I think he would be great at coaching. You will be missed Pat, Good Luck.
  13. I would love to see Marve come to USF. If he doesn't however, we have Alton Voss's commitment and I've heard nothing but good things about him. We will be okay and hopefully Matt won't get banged up the same way next year.
  14. Great to see Coach able to break out after all the work and sweat equity he invested in getting the team a win! Love the pic.
  15. Does it really matter who had more fans in the stands? To me it is very simple, our fans were as supportive of the team as you could want. We were present for a USF first. Although it would have been nice to be able to have more fans there, we did make a presentable showing. Think about it for a moment, we have what???? About 17,000 season ticket holders right now at Ray Jay? 5,000 is a fair representation for that number of home game ticket holders. Nevertheless, I am very pleased with where we are now, and anticipate more as the program progresses. GO BULLS
  16. Don't know why coaches try to avoid their Gatorade baths, especially when they deserve it for the win!!!!!!! LOL
  17. It is the nature of the beast that a loss engenders denial. The fact that ECU fans would not give credit to the better play of USF is not unexpected. However, I tend to take that smack talk with a grain of salt. Good going Footbulls!!!!!!!
  18. With JL being so serious and focused for the bowl game it is great to see him break loose. Way to go Jim.
  19. I don't know if Wally reads this board or not, but I just want him to know that my thoughts and prayers are with him during this difficult period. I recently lost my Dad and stepmother in the space of a two month period, and can empathize with him.
  20. Although we may not be favored to win at Auburn, I know we will make a good showing. Take into account the fact that our team, although very young, will be more experienced next year, and will have had the added advantage of working together for a whole year. There is nothing to say that we won't win against Auburn, and I am going to be an optimist and say we will do it.
  21. I have seen the HOT improve each year. You made the bowl experience phenomenal. Thank you. Keep it up. Boy do I love our team and band.
  22. Not Legion Field, the Citrus Bowl or the Orange Bowl have what we have at Ray Jay. Until we can build a top drawer stadium I am content to travel to Dale Mabry. If we do, in the future, get an on campus stadium, let's try and get comfortable seats. I know my tush will appreciate it muchly. LOL
  23. This is what Leavitt wants.......and what Leavitt wants..........(hopefully) Leavitt gets. LOL
  24. Mike, As always, great photos. Thanks for giving us a chance to relive the game all over again. Have a very happy holiday.
  25. When the game ended, the best part of all was watching all the players on the field celebrating. Being there and able to be a part of this first for USF could't be sweeter. Although this was also the final game for our seniors, I know we won't forget them and their contributions over the past years. They make me proud to be part of Bull Nation.
