  1. Are you crazy? I don't know a team in the country with more talent. They would have been one of the favorites for the NC even if Zook stayed next year.
  2. I thought he looked like our best qb in the spring game
  3. Don't forget Auburn. They lost something like 5 games last year and everybody was calling for the coach's head. Now they are 11-0 and could play for the NC. I think Zook would have had a good chance next year to win the whole thing, but the stupid gator boosters who can't see more than one week at a time have probably cost them, although the team is super stocked with talent for the next coach. Things can change quickly in a year when you have a bunch of new players coming into the program, and others who have gained a year of experience, or who have been learning while they have red shirted and are ready to play. I know it's hard to take our passing game, and now our defense's performance, but le'ts not be too short sighted about this thing.
  4. My guess of actual attendance is about 10,000, but that may have been too high. I think that the lower bowl holds 40K when full.
  5. the most surprising thing to me is how often we are on TV considering the way we are playing this year.
  6. That's what a lot of people seem to be missing in all the schedule talk, in my opinion. It's not like we are trying to lure one of the big guys to step down and come play here. As of next year we are one of the big guys.
  7. I think this year usc would get their tails kicked by Auburn.
  8. Well, if you were throwing a ball in the parking lot and it went too far and into somebody else's parking spot where they picked it up, said thanks, and threw it in the car trunk, would you think that was ok?
  9. I've seen A&M's band a few times through the years and the talk of how great they are is mostly hype, but then again in our country if you say something enough times most people will believe it.
  10. In college football you throw the ball back because it doesn't belong to you. They do the same thing in soccer. Back when Culverhouse owned the Bucs they even went into the stands and retrieved the ball if the fan didn't toss it back and if they could find the person.
  11. I would have to say that Geisler looks to have a stronger leg than Santiago. I wouldn't mind seeing him finish out his career at USF as the placekicker.
  12. Since all the kids can go to this game and not worry about being out too late, it would be nice if we could have some sort of family promotion, like bring the whole family for $25 or something. Hey we would do well on the concessions (oops, Glazer would make out on them). We could also give 500 tickets each to a bunch of kids oriented charities and boys/girls clubs. They could auction them off, give them out, whatever - but that would have to be done in the next couple days, I would imagine.
  13. But we always used to run out of the shotgun. Our offensive line was never even experienced in traditional run blocking.
  14. That's all nice and technical but there is no way the ACC would lose their BCS bid now that FSU and Miami are there, no matter where the top team finishes this year.
  15. We will be a BCS team next year. Good teams are more likely to come and play a game here in Tampa. Nebraska I know does home/away series with BCS teams.
  16. Well, I wish coach Zook good luck wherever he ends up, but I can't imagine him being here as head coach. He is a great recruiter, and I think that comes from his obvious love for the game, for the players on his team, and for the responsibility of making a difference in the lives of those young men. I think that college football could use more coaches like Ron Zook.
  17. I don't think you'll have a problem. I'll bet the game is one of the lowest rated on ESPN this year, and I'll even have to remind myself to watch it. What's with Wednesday night football? Weather should be pretty cool, I would iimagine, so the drink you want could be hot coffee or chocolate.
  18. Yeah, and how do you know he isn't better if he has never had a chance? Game time is different than practice time. Not end of discussion.
  19. Maybe another hurricane will postpone the game until you are back.
  20. Wow, too bad he can't play now because we have more "nothing" than I can ever remember.
