  1. Just got an email about the Student Bulls Club trying to raise some money by promoting a terrible towl type gimmick. Post pix if you find some... none were in the email. Go Bulls and see you on Saturday a the Ray Jay!
  2. I'm sorry that you didn't know that kids 3 and under do not require a ticket. You walk them through the ticket gate and schlep Grandma or Grandpa along for extra help with the kids. I don't suggest going during potty training... my daughter would ask to go pee every 5 minutes just to see the retsrooms, sit on the potty for a minute and do nothing, then say, "I'm done." All the while I'm missing the game or listening to it on the radio broadcast through the speakers. Sorry that's long winded. She's 7 now and sometimes I miss those younger days of little cheerleading outfits and such!
  3. I'd like to know if this includes some admission to football games. My kids aren't under 4 anymore and require a ticket. I'd like to free up a couple of game tickets for grandparents and friends.
  4. I think that is one of the f'ing coolest things I have EVER seen! Go Bulls!
  5. How do you find out who won the daily raffle? I renewed yesterday and would wet myself if my number was called for field passes!
  6. Ean Randolph and Trae Williams were selected for Honorable Mention by CFN/Scout. Special Teams: http://cfn.scout.com/2/601016.html Defense: http://cfn.scout.com/2/601014.html Nice for our boys to get noticed.
  7. No one made the First Team, but George Selvie made the Second Team and Matt Grothe received an honorable mention at QB. Good stuff! http://cfn.scout.com/2/600273.html
  8. 'Tis the season and I'd like to be festive at school in a USF kind of way. I've seen other college teams, just not the Bulls. I did an extensive online search, but to no avail. I would be happy with the standard red and white with the iconic U on the white fuzzy part. :-/
  9. The Dreamland in Tuscaloosa is the true experience. There's nothing like eating sloppy BBQ in a friggin' wood shack. "Ya'll want to try 'tater salad with that? It don't cost nothin' extra."
  10. From the Weekly Affirmation... 8-) Best maximizers of talent, elite division: Pete Carroll, USC, and Jim Tressel, Ohio State. Runner-up: Stoops. Small-fry division: Paul Johnson, Navy, and Jim Leavitt, South Florida. Runner-up: Terry Hoeppner, Indiana. Best single game as a play caller on defense: Schiano against Louisville, Nov. 9. Runners-up: Wally Burnham, South Florida, against West Virginia, Nov. 25; DeWayne Walker, UCLA, against USC, Dec. 2; Joe Kines, Alabama, against Tennessee, Oct. 21. Team with mental toughness that simply needs more talent to win big in the future: Rutgers. Runners-up: South Florida, Indiana, and Maryland. http://cfn.scout.com/2/557922.html Also, a quick preview of the bowl: :-? 19. Papajohns.com Bowl East Carolina vs. South Florida  December 23, 2006, ESPN2 This will be a much better game than you think. East Carolina won five of its last six games only dropping a tight 18-17 battle to Rice while South Florida is still buzzing after shocking West Virginia to close out with a strong eight-win season. Still the unknown and disrespected program in the Big East mix, the Bulls will try to win its first bowl game ever. Stars of the show: 1) South Florida QB Matt Grothe, 2) East Carolina QB James Pinkney, 3) South Florida LB Stephen Moffett The knee jerk, off-the-cuff, initial prediction: South Florida 23 ... East Carolina 10 http://cfn.scout.com/2/597354.html
  11. The Bulls got some sweet press this morning at CFN. Summa Cum Laude 3. South Florida – Has anyone in the Big East not had a statement win in 2006? South Florida’s came Saturday in Morgantown at the expense of No. 7 West Virginia, disproving the theory that the Bulls can’t win a big game outside the balmy confines of the Sunshine State. Defensive Coordinator of the Week –Wally Burnham, South Florida – It was said here last week that no one would slow down West Virginia’s Steve Slaton or Patrick White until the sophomores got to the NFL. Oops. Burnham’s kids were sensational in Morgantown, creating four turnovers and holding Slaton and the Mountaineers to a season-low 43 yards and 19 points, respectively. Awesome! 8-) http://cfn.scout.com/2/594746.html
  12. Found this gem this morning. Jim Leavitt is at it again, quietly guiding South Florida to a terrific season with a stout defense and just enough on offense. The Bulls are 7-3 after stuffing Syracuse 27-10, placing them in the spoiler http://cfn.scout.com/2/589873.html
  13. Looks like Navy already accepted a bid and will play an ACC opponent. One less bowl for the Big East. @#$%& > http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2651769
  14. Haven't received any down here in Sarasota. What gives? :-? I'd make the drive with free tix to the Rutgers game...
  15. He’ll never get the attention of a Colt McCoy, Mitch Mustain or Tim Tebow, but South Florida’s Matt Grothe is halfway to becoming this year’s Freshman All-American quarterback. Grothe didn’t even begin the year as the starter, but he has sparked the Bulls with his competitiveness and scrambling ability. In Saturday’s blowout of Connecticut, he was 12-of-15 for 146 yards and a touchdown, adding 82 yards and three scores on the ground. Link: http://cfn.scout.com/2/557918.html
  16. I have to agree with the College Gameday thing.  That's the shot heard round the world for me.
  17. I dropped 4 bills on this trip and that doesn't include incidentals. I'm doing this because I don't want to regret missing our first bowl appearance. In the future, if it's a long distance, I won't go. Hell, I'm a teacher and don't make that kind of cake to be able to afford it every year (that is bowl eligible years). But I see the point, Gator, Outback, Citrus, Orange... We'd put 30K in those EASY. Go Bulls! Beat NC State!
