  1. I don't think my son or any of the other players share your opinion and either do I.
  2. Just don't disable the Tired of Politics thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I wrote the sports editor in chief complaining about the lack of Football coverage especially compared to those other schools. He wrote back and said that even though USF is this towns team, most of the hits on their web site are for the big three. He told me he has to write to his readers. I emailed back and told him that if he would write more, people would be more interested. He didn't buy that. The long and short of it is that until more people are interested we will be the second rate customer. To any of you computer geeks, if you can come up with a program that increases our hits on the football site, do so!
  4. There were two gifts weren't there! Take away 14 pts and things look much better (optimist).
  5. My guess is that by the mid pt of next season he will not be the starter.
  6. It would be nice to see the last time smazza said one positive thing about somebody or something!
  7. The good thing at least for my family was that all my relatives could see my son play. The players were very disappointed in the student turnout. I think we all were. Its just a poor excuse to say that the game was to early. bad point is that it was very hard to get there early to tailgate.
  8. S. Bien, can't agree with you on this one. Everyone of those players are on scholarship. Everyone of them can be made to sit their a##es on the bench. I would much rather play with medocre players with heart then superstars who don't give a sh%$. There were instances where the seniors tried to step up but didn't get the support they needed.
  9. leadership starts from the top. If JL doesn't control the malcontents then we can expect more of the same and it will not change until new leadership is brought in. this is not something that you can turn on and off. It must be turned on all the time. This is not the 1st year we have had all of these penalties.
  10. concur with goldenbuc, a redshirt year is like a lost year of football. Can't get interested because you cn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Wait until next year to make your comment if he is disinterested or not.
  11. Coaching staff could not instill discipline. You can talk about it all you want, but the coaching staff failed USF football.
  12. We will be the laughing stock of the big east. The fan base is horrible and the students should be ashamed of themselves, 4 wins, 8 wins or 10 wins, you support your team because you like them. I was extremely disappointed at the lack of numbers, especially since it was against a big east team and a BCS team. As for it being an 11 o'clock game. that is crap also. Don't need to sleep all day. We have had a team now for 8 yrs, and the fan base has not gone up considerably in the last 5 yrs that I have been at the games. Can't use the excuse that it will be better mwhen we enter the big east (Pitt this weekend), can't use the excuse that we didn't have a winning team (look at our 9-2 season). Don't know what the answer is, however it really is ashame.
  13. Don't think Leak will opt out early. He is just not ready for the next level. He will need at least 1 more year. 1 more yr for ingram on the bench.
  14. I don't think we were on their radar screen the last time we played them either. I do believe that they will be taking us more seriously then they did before. If not then maybe we will take it to them again. Like a broken record, the keys will be to run the ball. We will also have to stop Pitts passing game which kicked NDs butt and sent Willingham packing!
  15. Also look at the caliber of teams we played in 2001. Teams are much better now, which would also skew the results of your comparison.
  16. At what point does it stop being new. 10 years, 20 years? We have been at this now for 7 years guys, no excuses. As far as it being a holiday weekend, did you happen to catch the USC-ND game or any other game for that matter? I'm sure they weren't saying oh its a holiday weekend, there won't be anyone there. My feeling is that maybe football will never catch on like the other schools. Blame it on the Bucs, or apathy I don't know.
  17. I'm not bitter, but as an ex-Qb it is very frustrating for your receivers to drop the number of passes that we have this year. Hell if my guys had caught every pass that they had dropped I could have completed onver 40% of my passes. When a qb is struggling, as ours is, your wrs have to step it up. They can't drop the quick slants. Look at the Cinci game. We would have moved the ball much more effectively if they would have held on. Sure there are going to be dropped balls, but not the amount that we are dropping. Sorry guys, our WRs are letting us down.
  18. Our bad luck, it couldn't have happened a week earlier!
  19. Hobbie is not the QB coach, he is the TE coach and the OC.
  20. He had nowhere to run alright. He was caught not in the backfield, but on the sidelines.
  21. Thanks Howie, you don't know the feeling seeing him back in action after his knee injury.
  22. Concur, maybe he needs to get our guys to hold on to the ball before he tackles the FSU receivers.
  23. This year wasn't supposed to be a rebuilding year. We had our oline back, our qb back our dline back and some of our lbs back.
  24. I'll say it again. If we get the running game going (and keep it going more then the 1st qtr), PJ doesn't hurt us, and the receivers hold on to the ball, we have a chance. D must really step it up also.
