  1. We got 1 sack form verpale on a safety blitz. You are right Ohiobull about PJ being off. However, we to to put alot of the blame on the receivers that dropped pass after pass. If you are a marginal qb (as we have), it really does your confidence no good when the passes you do get to the receivers are dropped. I am sure that played on his mind. At one point early on he was 3-8 and a couple of those were drops. Our receiving corp is not good and are not helping PJ. Why we left the running game is beyond me. A long drive for points early in the 3rd could have changed things. Refs made to horrendous calls. I about jumped the wall go afte the sideline judge when he called pass interference down by our goalline. Our guy was looking back at the ball and the reciever had his hands on us. That was total bs. Concur with the lack of defensive pressure. He had all day to throw and he usually took it until his receivers got open. Cinci fans were great though.
  2. The weather was perfect for an afternoon football game. Great little stadium, however parking is very bad. We did find someplace to tailgate with Bearcat fans and they were fantastic. They believe that their attendance is low for the same reasons ours is. Pro football. The Bengals were playing the steelers the following afternoon.
  3. How about this one: Get your A$$ to the game or we will come around and kill you. Not to suttle is it?
  4. I don't think that we are sneaking up on anyone now. they all know what we can do now that we are running the ball effectively. Cinci will be ready. The question is will we be able to stop their qb?
  5. Thanks, Howie, it really was a great feeling to see him playing again. He really enjoyed himself and we are proud of the work he has put in rehabilitating the knee. Hopefully he can now move up the depth chart.
  6. I have to agree that the Cincy game is the biggest. If we win that one then the memphis game will be the biggest. If we are 1 and 1 then the Pitt game is the biggest. We are in the H.S. playoffs right now and each game is the biggest because if we lose its our last. The Bulls must win at Cincy end of story!
  7. We got our plane tickets and are ready to roll!
  8. I guess that means we will be drinking Bloody Marys instead of the usual froshy brews! You gotta do, what you gotta do!
  9. Reading the st pete times today scarred me a little. They way they talked, even if we do win, bowls are worried that we will not travel well. Case in point was inviting TCU to the Ft Worth bowl even if we have a better record because they will put more butts in the seats. I can see their point but that would really suck. I don't know if we would travel well. If you look at how we have traveled to all of our away games - I can understand how they would feel.
  10. Last week were were an honorable mention. Not we are not even on the list. We are moving up.
  11. Scrubbing the pots and pans. Don't mind painting, hate scrubbing.
  12. I hope you are right. Its up to the coaching staff to put PJ in the right positions and our d must step up!
  13. Did anyone read in the St pete times that a QB that originally committed to us just decommitted? Does anyone know anything about this guy? What this program needs is a top flight QB that can take us into the big east.
  14. Isn't it kind of ashame that the teams that the bulls are going to play in the next month are all getting better. Cinci - gets beat early, memphis is now a scoring machine and Pitt is much better then they were at the beginning of the season.
  15. PJ was something like 8 for 16. The real reason for his success was that he only threw 16 times and we were able to run successfully. We ran, we ate up the clock (so the defense wasn't on the field all night) and didn't put PJ in a situation to hurt us.
  16. I hope you guys are right about that. That being said, it doesn't do anybody any good to keep mouthing off to the refs. It is just going to make them throw the flag sooner next time.
  17. Wasn't he also the one who let the receiver get behind him on that 1st TD that was called back?
  18. I agree with goldenbuc. Can't let your players do that. What does it show for the program? Especially when it was on ESPN. I would not have let him back on the field. Character of the team is more important then 1 player getting on the field. This shows that Leavitt is letting things slip.
  19. Jim, I have open house at our school tonight, however I am starting to feel a very bad cold coming on. It should hit right after football practice tonight. Hopefully you all will have some medication for me.
  20. Where will the watch parties be for the UAB game in both Pinellas and Hillsborough?  Bullmom is going to the game, however I can not make it, but want to sit with a bunch of bulls fans to watch the game. Let me know!! <modified by Bulliever to re-title subject, adding USF/UAB to bulldad's original title>
  21. If we play like we did against TCU we could beat UAB, however our o or d has not stepped up since that game.!
  22. The coaches went after the best qbs available, however they all went to other schools. Hopefully this next batch will be better. However if we keep losing the qbs that we go after, we will be left with what we have, and right now that is not good enough for us to win. sad but don't see anyway around it until we get that top notch recruit.
  23. You play like you practice. and iwas at their practice yesterday and PJ did the same stuff. Threw ints against the scout team, rcvrs dropping practice. was not fun to watch.
