  1. I'll help out by saying this, there hasn't been any inside talks leak or even a hopeful rumor surface regarding any Big 12 invite for UCF from any of the UCF premium boards. Not to say that these things couldn't be held back from leaking, but if UCF had an invite to the big 12, we'd hear at least a rumbling. There's been nothing. Second, y'all need to look at the real reasons before wondering about UCF's future being involved. If UCF had an influence, then watching UCF win a BCS Bowl in one year after USF had 8 shots, producing a likely 1st rd QB draft pick, possibly top 5, 3/4 ten plus win seasons, losing to UCF on national TV in front of a packed UCF house to boot, not to mention attendance falling in the 15k range for USF, not reaching a bowl in 3 years, getting blown out by an FCS school and FAU, add in paying Holtz and and a new HC at the same time ticking off the state. Guys, you're scared about Woolard being fired because of a possible P5 invite for UCF. You need to realize that it's probably due to a lot more than that. Think about it.
  2. Well, if we're both going to be in this bad conference, winning it becomes even greater. The highest ranked G5 school still goes to the BCS access Bowl, which I believe it'll be the Fiesta, Cotton or Chick-Fil-A. Sugar, Orange and Rose are all tied into other conferences permanently.
  3. And? That win helped UCF win the conference and get UCF to a BCS Bowl. In 2008, UCF took Usf into overtime. Usf was ranked #17 and UCF was 4-8 that year. Things happen. point being you are 2 players and head coach removed from being a bottom feeder in a bad conference. You better hope the stars continue to align, because it looks like it's only down from here for you. I don't expect UCF to win a BCS Bowl every year. I expect down years and rebuilding to occur in the future. It happens everywhere. What we achieved this year will suffice for a long while. And to those using UCF years of having football in comparison to USF are lost. USF was in a BCS conference since 2005.
  4. God bless him ... Goldie has been providing those type moments for years on here. First of all, gobulls83...it feels pretty good being a UCF grad, right now. Not sure how it feels to be a USF grad, I guess you still have being ranked as high as #2 for one week, six years ago. Well, you see, there are good things about being a USF grad besides the football's team's "achievements." I think I made that clear in my post, but then, as I pointed out, I wouldn't expect reading comprehension to be a skill a UCF grad would display. Congratulations on, what, the second or third noteworthy win in your team's 35-year history? This one was pretty much more than just a.noteworthy win though. And you do realize that UCF was Div. II and 1-AA for more than half of those 35 years, right?

Secondly, Triple, the ratings in Orlando were huge and I didn't bring up ratings, another USF fan did. If you think that ratings weren't important in a team like UCF in their market if a conference is looking to expand, you must have fallen off the the Earth. Yes, I have been posting here for years and also said UCF would be in the same conference as USF eventually and was mocked by USF fans. That happened. I said UCF would both get to and win a BCS bowl before USF many years ago and was mocked and laughed at for that too. Guess what just happened? So I'm not sure what you're getting at here. I'm pretty much right most of the time. lol
  7. Exactly! Whatever UCF did in the Fiesta bowl doesn't have any affect on USF whatsoever. They won, good for them. In 2 years Bortles will be gone, O'leary may be retired and who knows what the on the field team will look like. People just don't seem to get it. Conferences don't look solely at on the field performance. Especially, not a one year, best ever performance. How UCF fans traveled to their biggest game ever and ratings for the game are more important to conference realignment. Their are a lot more factors that go into a big decision than one good year. According to ESPN.... The Fiesta Bowl garnered a 7.1 overnight rating for Central Florida upending Baylor 52-42, up nine percent from the 2013 Orange Bowl, which aired in the corresponding day/time slot (6.5, Florida State defeating Northern Illinois 31-10). Orlando led all markets with a 17.4, the highest bowl overnight rating ever for an ESPN network in the market. http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2014/01/double-digit-increase-for-rose-fiesta-bowls-combined-viewership/ You do understand that those big bold letters were talking only about Orlando, right? Yes. Kind of the whole point of a TV Market bringing in ratings. When they're looking at a TV Market that a team is in, this kind of scale is a huge factor. Had USF been in the same boat, I'm sure the Tampa TV market would have tuned in, as well.

  9. It's been a dream to be in a BCS Bowl. However the Fiesta is the toughest bowl to attend since the Hawaii in 2005 for us. When the bowl was announced plane ticket from FL were going from $700-900. They've come down a little since, but not much. Not to mention Stub Hub tix are starting at $30-40, while tickets thru the school are $150-250. Baylor has only sold 11k as well. UCF had 10k in pre-orders for the Sugar and would sold that out. The sugar was drivable, a great New Years location and flights aren't that bad, either. Plus playing Alabama would have created a high demand and stub hub wouldn't be an option. The school would be it. Going to a BCS bowl will be great exposure, but the main topic will be ticket sales, unfortunately. Honestly, I sometimes think that going to the Russell Athletic Bowl vs Miami would have been more beneficial financially and ticket sales would have been huge, keeping the critics quiet. But it is the BCS and it's hard not to get excited, as well. Those of you talking about ECU who didn't go up there for a game in the old CUSA era at USF, should take the trip. It's a solid college atmosphere and game experience.
  10. Guys, this sort of thing sucks, but happens at a lot of stadiums. Don't single out UCF fans. Not excusing these actions, but it happens. Happened to a few UCF fans at Ray Jay in '07, too. Drunk college kids aren't any better at one place than the other. It's a shame but only made headlines because it was the AD. Honestly, I don't think it was targeted. Just random chance. Doesn't matter though, still a crappy thing to do. USF fans I met up there enjoyed their time and were given treated just fine. Our fans actually showed them respect for coming and supporting their team, despite the season.
  11. Per Paul Tenorio's Tweet (UCF beat writer) UCF bought Woolard new tires and our AD, Stansberry drove Woolard's car back to Tampa, today.
  12. I spoke to quite a few USF fans. They said that they didnt have any issues. I think someone nailed by mentioning the new fans being introduced to this series. USF played tough and earned my respect out there. The idea of losing to y'all again was horrifying.
  13. The atmosphere at the game was electric. Your players played their hearts out with a passion you only see in these types of rivalries. USF got beat finally and I got the sense from USF fans that "it's on now". We gotta go to your house next year. You so t think USF fans and won't be kicking their chops? That was a classic rivalry game and very good for both schools.
  14. I actually partied with some USF fans after and the fsnd I met before the game we're nice and said great things about UCF fans.
  15. Most of those things have nothing to do with USF, but your brainwashed way to try to look UCF lol bad. First of all the bowl ban for football was lifted because those allegations barely had anything to do with football and not one player on UCF's team or before were a part of it. But we won the appeal and are playing for a BCS Bowl!!! And no, we didn't compromise anything in CUSA. We filled one of the few bowl slots remaining. Such a BS piece, but whatever. If you still want to portray UCF in bad light off the field to fill your reasons to hate UCF., rather than the game itself, so be it. We don't care. We don't care about your record this year. This might as well be the day after our last meeting in 2008.
  16. Bunch of whiners. USF students threw beer at at a UCF fan in a wheelchair. He wrote UCF about it. Before you shun, he also wrote how our own students acted at the St. Pete Bowl vs Rutgers in 2009. My point is that we both have young fans that don't don't know how to handle things. Unfortunately, I don't see it ending soon. This new conference series will be interesting.
  17. If I had to live in Orlando, I'd leave every chance I got too.Ouch. That really hurts. If I hated Orlando, which I don't, I love it, I wouldn't live here. Is that really your best? No, my best would be pointing out we still have you 4-0, we beat you 64-12 once, you've only beaten 1 ranked team in your entire football history, your AD was fired for being a cheater, your head coach is a liar and killed a player, and your baseball coach got fired for simulating raping a manager with bat. Also, GOL looks stupid when it's hot out and he gets all blotchy and red.First, we've beaten more than one ranked team. 2nd, saying GOL killed a player is classless and disrespectful of Plancher, who died of sickle cell, whom his parents were well aware of. 3rd, what does our old baseball coaches antics matter to USF?4th...the team, fanbase and myself can't wait for this game and will be in full force come Friday. Go Knights!!1) No, you haven't. You beat Houston, but they finished the year unranked that season and you best Louisville this year. That's it. 2) The legal system agrees with me. 3) What does any of this matter to USF? You're the one on our board asking why no one likes you. 4) Of course you guys will be waiting, boners raging. This is going to be the single greatest moment in UCF athletics history. A win over a 2-10 football team. That sums it all up. We will get much more satisfaction from beating that 2-10 USF football team, because we are playing to be rewarded with something USF has never had and the satisfaction that beating USF alone could ever do and that's a BCS bowl on the line.
  18. Knight Library actually moved into a nicer location since that old run down place. I live in Tampa and have lived here since '04. Downtown Orlando is booming, now. It's as much residential as it is business, if not more now. He'll, Sunday Fundays Downtown are as popular as Saturday nights. Gotta remember, downtown Orlando is basically a combo of South Tampa, Downtown St. Pete and International Plaza with as many bars, restaurants and events to attend. Fergs is even expanding to downtown Orlando to get in on the action. That being said, I love living in Tampa and prefer the beaches and beach bar/sports bar options to nightlife anywhere, anyhow. But that's just me.

  20. KL is right. There were 50k tailgating on campus on Saturday, maybe more. There were 45k at the game and not everyone tailgating had a ticket. UCF has confused some outsiders that think Memory Mall is the only area to tailgate, when in fact it's primarily the student tailgate area. There were people all over campus tailgating as far back as the admin building 1 mile from the stadium. Yes, you can tailgate anywhere you want, mostly. Why do you all shoot down everything said from UCF fans? Do you all really think that UCF only had 10k tailgating for a game that had 45k in attendance? UCF could fit 70k on campus to tailgate, if they wanted. It's a big campus and plenty of room. People also park in garages and drag their tents in the shady areas around the education building, library and all around. Don't see how that is so unbelievable to you all.
  21. Is this just how you'd prefer to look at things or am I missing something? By saying UCF cheated, where on our roster do you see any controversy involving cheating now or in years past? Are you talking about the NCAA violations from 2 years ago that never involved any current or past UCF football player that suited up in a UCF uniform. Why do you think UCF won the appeal against UCF's 1 year post season ban, last winter? As far as USF goes, you all had some great OOC wins over big time programs, but had y'all focused more on beating Rutgers, Cincy and UConn, instead of hanging your hats onto wins over Miami, ND and FSU, you may have gotten to a BCS bowl, by now. After UCF beat Penn State and had beaten South Carolina, it would have opened a lot of eyes on UCF. But if UCF had lost to UL and Houston, we wouldn't even be talked about, right now. UCF lost to USC but still knew the real goal was the AAC championship, just like GOL coached in CUSA. I think Taggert is your guy that knows this, as well and USF will be very tough in the coming years. He'll, UCF was 5-7 in CUSA just 2 years ago.
  22. Caught them looking ahead to Temple?????? What a crock of ****. I am so sick of these whining crybabies. We are going to roll into Mousetown and put their ass back in place. Our defensive front is gonna make Bortles cry some more. White is gonna white-out their blackout. The trolls will be silly quiet after that. Jeez. You USF fans can't sense sarcasm if it hit you square between your horns. It was a joke. No sense of humor either.
  23. Houston caught us looking ahead to Temple. We'll be ready for USF.
  24. Yeah, it's definitely gonna be brutal at UCF, for sure. Last years's game vs Mizzou was unbearable. The aluminum seats are a factor, but this will be sold out, so we'll be mushed together with sweaty fans to boot.
