  2. UCF's campus is really nice if you like parking garages and that shyte-brown brick feel of an office park... Plus it's in the beautiful metropolis of Bithlo Because USF being located in the heart of Temple Terrace is really something so much better than Bithlo... USF is in Tampa, not Temple Terrace and especially not the heart ... UCF's address is Orlando and if you want to include closest zip code, it'd be Oviedo, not Bithlo. Temple Terrace is one light away from USF
  3. Uh, UCF finished ranked in the Top 10 in 2013 after beating #6 Baylor in the BCS Fiesta Bowl. USF has never finished in the Top 25 in their history, while UCF has done it twice in the past 5 years. USF has never been to a BCS Bowl, not to mention ever winning their conference. UCF has 4 conference championships and a not only went to a BCS Bowl, but won it.
  4. But UCF's is owning multiple days. UCF's record, top 25 and top 10 finishes and trophys prove that UCF has a better resume than Usf in the last 10 years. Thank you. You have 2-4 vs UCF but it's winding down. Your #2 ranking was week and gone. Your OOC wins over some top teams were nice, but don't equal champioships and a BCS win.
  5. This ^^^^^ I will be there as usual, but really not looking forward to sitting in our bld being out numbered with their obnoxious fans. The opening of the renovated Sundome was brutal. They had large sections of people scattered throughout the arena ( one section happened to be behind our season ticket seats) They were rude, Loud and made for an UN enjoyable day. So it was the fans, not the loss? Fans are supposed to be loud and cheer for their team. It's only annoying when that fan is rooting against your team.
  6. You said it right there. The author is the owner of the site and a guy that is trying to get hits over. This was posted on a couple of other boards, as well. Looks like his plan is working. To AAC fans, expansion is the only way out for the school's mentioned. It's nice to be mentioned, but a month ago, he'd have never mentioned ECU. He knows their fans are expansion crazy and would be all over this, after a little success. Had he mentioned them a month ago, even ECU fans would have laughed at it. However, enven possible fake news with your school mentioned as a P5 expansion candidate is better than none at all.
  7. For those who talk about UCF squeaking out the victory vs USF last year being an embarrassment, I do recall USF being ranked 17 on 2008 and going into OT with an eventual 4-8 UCF team, that year. Things happen and USF had nothing to lose last year. UCF came out a bit over-confident and flat. But I handed to USF who played their butts off. Y'all were showing signs of improvement towards the end of the season, though. One reason why I was hoping for an earlier game for our teams last year. Had we opened with y'all while you were completely lost at QB, that 3 may well have been 30-40.
  8. The number of signees is factored into the recruiting website rankings. UCF was limited from the NCAA sanctions, this year. So, I think the O-Sentinel was ranking UCF higher based on what they were able do, despite the sanctions.
  9. For those that think the AAC is better travel, remember that the AAC still has 2 teams in TX and another in Oklahoma. Secondly, even if travel for fans is further, I think most fans buying season ticket think about the HOME schedule, first. Also, remember that the playoffs will be decided by a committee. So an undefeated 12-0 Texas or Oklahoma will probably beat out most ACC champions. That being said, for those AAC fans wanting to compare champions so far.... 2013 Fiesta Bowl: AAC Champion - 1 Big 12 Champion - 0
  10. Last year's game @ USF was early in the season, I believe. This year our team has been struggling with 1 conference win and interest has died down, by now. I doubt you'll see many UCF fans there, this time. Maybe a few, but no talk about many going on our end.
  11. No everyone goes to mcdintons (SOHO) happy hour on friday. Or St. Pete on first friday. Good try though. I do see quite a few UCF sorority girls at both.Mcdintons is not a college bar, especially not a USF bar, same w DT St Pete. I'm talking about bars within a mile or 2 from campus like The Station, Mad Hatter, Library , etc . Especially noticeable the weekend of the South Carolina & Houston games, they all want to transfer I am telling you where they go Friday. Why would they go to Orlando? They don't want to be robbed or shot That's why the students don't hang out by USF. Our students have options. Downtown Orlando or UCF bars. But nobody considers any bars downtown to be college bars. But I guess that's a commuter school for you USF folks. UCF has quite a few bars around campus that UCF students, who have the most on campus students in housing in the state, enjoy.
  12. The Knight Library has moved. It's not that old stale beer smelling place across from campus. That whole shopping center has been demolished for a brand new student housing complex. The KL is actually it's own standing building on university. It's really nice.
  13. OCS might be the key to a Big 5. Actually the Big 12. That's the most realistic. I know that the Big 12 has reached out to several schools, including UCF and USF to discuss their criteria for membership. Maybe an OCS is something that the Big 12 prefers, thus why that would be a priority.
  14. Pity for UCF? I'm a Bucs fan and feel nothing but pity for the 49ers and Seahawks too. One will play in the Super Bowl and get a low draft pick. Sucks to be fans of those teams. Same goes for the FSU fans. Having to spend all that money on championship shirts and hats must be weighing them down. Truth is you just are pissed and in denial of where USF sits as it is and are jealous of UCF,crying about it by making up idiot remarks that only make you look more like an idiot. Give it a rest dude. It's weak. You're weak.
  15. Whoever the admin is that keeps moving my posts from the main board over here is just being an a hole. What does my post about Pitt and Cuse have to with this? I'm not flaming and have been a member here for a long time. You're just abusing your access. Bunch of babies around here. I'm glad you suck, average 15k in football, are losing your AD and suffering in the AAC. Is that what you're waiting to hear?
  16. Pitt and Cuse were sent to the ACC by a request from ESPN to tear up the Big East.
  17. take into account how saturated your market is not only by other college allegiances(which Orlando has also) but Pro Sports. Orlando only really has the Magic in town and they stink now. UCF had a good year at the right time and the community jumped on board and tuned in. Same thing happens in Tampa and Miami. Thing is those two cities also have other pro sports to contend with, so it's tougher in Tampa and Miami, than Orlando.
  18. groupthink is unhealthy , moving posts takes it out of context. And it should be USif, a BCS Trophy is now added to the trophy case in East Orlando. A loud, somehow still arrogant dwindling fanbase over here that is in complete denial It must be really depressing thinking so little of your own team that even after the biggest win its history (not saying much), you have to rush over to your big brothers and beg for validation. Obviously you know that a single win over a Baylor team that didn't show up doesn't make it not embarrassing to be a UCFer. Dude, you're embarrassing your own fan base. Big brother? I'd say more like fraternal twins where one (USF the female) had an early growth spurt and the other (UCF the male) came along later and of course became stronger. I come here because I live in Tampa and follow fellow state schools, especially conference mates. Losing your AD is big news and I wanted to see what was up. Plus, you all were talking UCF, so why not reply?
  19. This thread has nothing to do with the topic at hand. I didn't create it. It was created by some admin using my replies to posts on the main board and forwarded here. But I will say this, you're right. We are both stuck in this CUSA 2.0 conference for a whille. Our home schedule for 2014 is... ??? (FIU is cancelled) BYU Temple Memphis SMU Tulane, Tulsa or Cincy
  20. And they call us UCiF? Speaking of that... I can laugh at the UCiF thing forever. There's no more "if" when beating 2 top 10 schools in one year and winning a BCS Conference title and winning a BCS Bowl happens. USF may be able to "if" that ever happens. There's no if with a trophy car full of trophies exists. There is an "if" when you have empty cases.
  21. Why? Most of your own are scared UCF going to the Big 12 is the reason for this and I pointed out reasons not to be worried.
  22. I didn't start these threads and if you don't want them on your main board just delete the posts. Thanks. Jeez you guys are unreal. No wonder your fans have the rep they do. Real talk is healthy.
  23. And UCF's TV ratings were decent in the Orlando market specifically, but nationwide? Not so much. It's going to take more than a single season of a few games getting decent ratings to make them attractive. UCF isn't going to the Big XII, and that's pretty much the end of it. Believe they are if you want, but time will prove you wrong.
  24. Yeah, UCF is suddenly attractive because of a quarterback recruit who hasn't even set foot on campus yet and because they won a bunch of games against sorry-ass competition (including this year's AAC). Right. Youre being short sighted. They have won everywhere they have played, us, not so much. Make fun of their tin can stadium but other schools understand what that means to have. Also, say what you want but their President is viewed very favorably in athletic circles. More than anything, they had great tv ratings in Orlando this year, that is a powerful thing to show. Winning and losing have nothing to do with anything. See: Rutgers, losers in the Big 10. See: Boise State, big winners, still on the outside looking in. Pitt haven't won **** lately, Syracuse ditto, both are now in the ACC. I'm not saying UCF has gotten any invite or close to it for the big 12. But the TV ratings locally are the prime focus on evaluating a team and whether they can or can not bring a TV market. National TV is not a TV market. It's all about sets on that team in that market.
