  1. It has been a miserable, rainy, gloomy day in Normal, IL. It's all heading south. The streets here have puddles, therefore hydroplaning is a real threat. I lost a great friend a few years ago on an Alabama highway, very similar to 231, when his car hydroplaned into an oncoming tanker truck. Also, if you take 231, be sure to slow down to the speed limit in the smaller towns, especially Ozark, AL. The local constables love pulling over outsiders. Be safe y'all. Don't want to lose any of our great Bulls fans. I hope to see many of you at the Bullbackers pre-game hook up on Sat. morning. Normal
  2. I said in the chatroom I would be good for $10....not that it'll ever need to leave my wallet. Hummel said that the Boneheads, I mean Boneyarders , do this sort of thing all the time. I wonder where the offers were the previous three times we beat them? Heck Boneheads could have endowed a scholarship if we stayed in CDOA and played them all the time. ;D Normal
  3. Flipper: Take the I-10 to 231 route. 231 is a nice four lane highway. Yes, the Gen. is right, you must slow down for the towns (especially Ozark, AL), but between towns it is a 65 mph highway. When you get to Montgomery, you turn left on South Blvd. and it will take you straight out to I-65. We take this route down from Illinois every year for the holidays. I also recommend that those going this way from Tampa area consider taking the new Suncoast Parkway toll road to Brooksville and take 19 north to Monticello. It chops off a big chunk of I-10. Normal
  4. I think this is a great thing. First, as everyone points out, it is likely that NFL scouts will tell Mike to stay until next year. Second, this is a great recruiting tool on two fronts...our coaches can say to any stud CBs we might still be after, look we may have an opening this fall, and look this staff develops NFL caliber defensive backs. Yep, I like it. And if Mike goes through with the draft, I will root him on on draft day and in the NFL. I have faith in Jerome Murphy and Tyller Roberts. Normal
  5. What about Saaka? Heck Velcro, we will have so many players, even YOU can't keep track of all of them. ;D Normal
  6. Seen Nicholson? He's probably entertaining Jack as we speak. ;D 8-) : Normal
  7. Another day, another hijacked thread. Back to the topic at hand....There were a few games where the other team would get like three straight offensive boards against our front line. I would be well pleased if Mr. Gransberry could put a stop to that crap. Normal
  8. Man, my seating buddy not going to the game. That is a bummer. I feel for ya, BM. I hope you, Pam and the boys have a great Christmas. Look for the Normals in the Bullbackers section old friend, and remember you can sit with us any time you want. Normal
  9. joe  not bad  but you went over the words per post limit  your not a tru smazza fan
  10. YYYAAAWWWNNNN!!!!! Who cares? Let's get back to really relevant topics....like an OCS. Or, not extending Leavitt's contract. Or, firing Coach RMac. Or, or, or. Normal
  11. If I've written it once, I've written it a thousand times....only The Sporting News is dumber about college football than CFN. It is embarrassing that they have the words "college" and "football" side by side in their name. Well, all those CFU and EZU grads had to get jobs somewhere....besides Publix, I guess. Normal
  12. And that's just another reason they belong in the Big East, Mike. I almost typed that with a straight face. ;D Normal
  13. Anthony Henry went to Estero HS and had a great career at USF. You can find him on Sundays wherever the Cowboys are playing. ;D : Normal
  14. LOL!!!!! They think they are auditioning for the Big East? Too funny. Check out the TV markets of BE schools and the transportation options. Tarboro, NC is NOT in the BE geographically. Sorry purple dudes. You are C-DOA geographically and most likely Sun Belt realistically. Normal
  15. Now things get interesting with Jesus and Gransberry. Normal
  16. Would it be safe to assume that Jose lit them up at halftime? I hope he didn't hurt any of their feelings. ;D Normal
  17. Way to go Eric. There's more to him than what I thought... ;D Normal
  18. LOL....I guess O'Brien figures the only way he will be able to go to a decent ACC bowl game is to move his schtick to Tobacco Road. BC gets shafted (again) by the ACC...no worries for Tommy boy. Normal ;D
  19. I'm with Mike. I like college football just the way it is. There has always been controversy surrounding who is better which conference is best etc., dating back to the 1890's. That's what makes college football so special. Now, if I were a fan of a non-BCS school, I might think it needs changing, but I'm not so I think it is fine. Normal
  20. I'll be all over game tracker here in frozen central Illinois. :-? I hope we play better than the last game. It's getting closer to Verdejo and Gransberry time! 8-) Normal
  21. Who is Stephen Moffett? He must play for some small fry program. Classic CFN. Attempting to diss uneducated fans with uneducated misnomers and name mixups. At least CFN has The Sporting News around to make them look good. Normal
  22. I wonder how he rated Myron Leslie who is also in the A's system and had a very good year last season too. Leslie is now playing the outfield in the A's system. A's officials indicated that they moved Leslie from 3rd base to make way for Baisley, and they like Leslie enough to keep him moving up in the outfield. Should be fun to see how they both progress. Normal
  23. You 'talk' to your wife __EI? I mostly listen (sort of) . Normal
