  1. Sure wish that guy on the other side of mayor Iorio was going to attend USF. :-[ Normal
  2. Don't be surprised if the game is rained out today. It is raining like a mutha here and the radar shows it being worse north of here. If they can get one in tomorrow and two Sunday that would be the most likely scenario. Normal
  3. Younger days???? That was post-outdoor courts by about 10 years. I wasn't even playing slow pitch by then. Too busy taking lil abnormals to the little league ball parks in south Georgia. Normal
  4. What's wrong with you clowns? IT'S elam, not elon leavitt cant schedule woolard is a terrible ad we must open with wins over michigan, noter dame and usc to ever be taken seriously ;D ;D Normal
  5. at Georgia State, I wonder if that will impact Solomon Bozeman. Remember Bozeman had signed at Ole Miss when Barnes was the coach. At the end of the season when Barnes was fired, Bozeman asked for his release and signed with us. Sure, the Atlantic Sun isn't as prestigious as the BE, but with a new coach coming in there is always turnover and Bozeman's dad is a good friend with Barnes. I hope Solo stays at USF and I have absolutely no information otherwise. Just something that might be playing in the background. Normal
  6. Both Illinois schools with coaching vacancies have selected their new hoops coaches. Northern Illinois hired former Colorado coach Ricardo Patton. That is probably a good hire for them. Illinois State will announce today that top Kansas assistant Tim Jankovich will be their new coach. Usually when schools start to hiring, a domino effect occurs where other schools quickly settle on their guys too. I hope we get our situation straightened out soon. Normal
  7. ET: Why are you picking on the ECU Pirate mascot dude? ;D ;D ;D ;D Normal
  8. I know this will no doubt hijack this thread, but I still do not like the idea of playing Rutgers on the road five days after the UCF game. We might overlook UCF (I doubt this because The Jim does not like UCF) but more likely we will not be as prepared for Rutgers as we should be. We can beat Rutgers up there if we are emotionally right and have our defensive assignments down pat. If we are not ready emotionally or mentally, well.... :-/ I don't like it at all. Normal
  9. JoeB: LRS was an awesome recruiter for the football team as AD. ADs meet with all recruits on official visits. If you are a football player, who would you rather meet and have as a guiding hand for the football program, LRS or Paul Griffin? Many of our earliest top recruits commented that LRS had a big hand in swaying their decisions. Who knows how fast football would have progressed without those players. He also brought credibility and stability to the athletic department following the turmoil in the women's basketball program that your man did not handle very appropriately. LRS continues to be a very loyal Bull, even though his only real tie to USF was the fact that the Bucs drafted him number one way back when. I cherish the man and his past and continued contributions, as should all true Bulls fans. Normal
  10. Rezz: I live in Illinois and I could care less about the Illini, but everything he wrote about the team is true from my observations. I don't know about Guenther's behavior, but there is no reason for him to make that up. Unfortunately for Illini fans, they expect Bill Self results but seem to have forgotten that Self is no longer coach of the team. Too bad for them. Normal
  11. Exhibit A for my by the end of November meltdown prediction. We have moved from slate graysiders to dark graysiders already. Too predictable. Normal
  12. BeachBull is a faculty member at SIU. He said that Lowery is likely to go to Minnesota. They have him targeted as their top candidate. I wouldn't hold out too much hope for Lowery. Normal
  13. If Lowery goes anywhere this year, he will go to Minnesota. They have him targeted as their top candidate. I doubt Doug will be able to get him to USF. Normal
  14. Why hasn't Woolard hired our future HOF coach yet. I KNOW they must be lined up outside his office like the bankers in the Lending Tree commercials. Just pick one for crying out loud so the five star recruits will start rolling in. Make sure he is 'personable' and comes onto this forum to explain his every move. Oh, and tell him he's on-the-clock. We expect an NCAA bid yesterday; BE championship shortly thereafter. Don't even bring the new coach to the press conference because I expect him to be in a 10 year old's house talkin' about the 2015 early signing period. In fact, he should come out of that meeting with a verbal commitment, at least. Just do it Doug. It should be done by now. A USF basketball fan.
  15. Aly's avatar is cool, but not nearly as sweet as yours gurly. 8-) Normal
  16. And you all are forgetting Mompremier who has had a good off season. man oh man....this is going to be interesting. Normal
  17. Kentrell's accomplishment is so much more amazing when you look at that school record of 26 set in 1972. USF in 1972 averaged like a 90 points a game. There were so many more shots per game than today's defensive struggle, half court games. Great job KG! Normal
  18. Where geographically will his recruiting territory be? How does he feel about the OL depth for this coming season? Does he think any of our current linemen show the potential to play in the NFL? Normal
  19. Yeah, and you know you were palmin' it too pal. You just never let it go. After all these years. I'm telling you, those rec court games were intense. Normal
  20. Great job Tony! I'm waiting for my autographed copy. Normal
  21. Poor Gnats. They will have to deal with a Kravitz led defense again. ;D Normal
  22. 110? You can't count Auction House transactions Brad....that's cheating. ;D Normal
