  6. UCF wil bring 5,000 at the most they have lost many games and have no passion for their team... Except for UCF fans that are on this board they do have passion...
  7. If they were playing ohio st. the kid does not get suspended
  8. Airtarn is the same price.. I booked SWest on this past Sat. and 118 RT with all taxes! With this price BigEast maybe reasonable!
  9. Bama was tougher... Heat, No water, yes the score was 17-7 and then hell broke loose I fell hard after this... USC tailgate 8 hours was awesome, game sucked but score was closer then what it actually was if we had dbs that were good it would not have been so bad...geeze those long passes hurt! We also missed on an early trick pass that would have made game interesting..
  10. I found some PSU history thought you may want to read, I wonder if the Indian part will come under investigation.......They may have to change mascot name! Nittany Lion Legend Penn State's athletic symbol, chosen by the student body in 1906, is the mountain lion which once roamed central Pennsylvania. H.D. "Joe" Mason, a member of the Class of 1907, conducted a one-man campaign to choose a school mascot after seeing the Princeton tiger on a trip with the Penn State baseball team to that New Jersey campus. A student publication sponsored the campaign to select a mascot and Penn State is believed to be the first college to adopt the lion as a mascot. Penn State Since Penn State is located in the Nittany Valley at the foot of Mount Nittany, the lion was designated as a Nittany Lion. In regional folklore, Nittany (or Nita-Nee) was a valorous Indian princess in whose honor the Great Spirit caused Mount Nittany to be formed. A later namesake, daughter of chief O-Ko-Cho, who lived near the mouth of Penn's Creek, fell in love with Malachi Boyer, a trader. The tearful maiden and her lost lover became legend and her name was given to the stately mountain. Nittany Lion Shrine Penn State's Nittany Lion shrine was dedicated on Oct. 24, 1942, during Homecoming Weekend. Animal sculptor Heinz Warneke and stonecutter Joseph Garatti molded a 13-ton block of Indiana limestone into the most recognizable symbol of Penn State. The shrine was chosen from six models submitted by Warneke. The shrine is a gift of the Class of 1940 and rests in a natural setting of trees near Recreation Building. The site was chosen because of its accessibility, the surrounding trees and the fact that the sculpture would not be dwarfed by nearby buildings. Blue and White Penn State's student-athletes are instantly identified by their blue and white uniforms - but those weren't the original school colors. A three-member committee representing the sophomore, junior and senior classes was appointed in October of 1887 to develop color options from which the student body would select the school's official colors. Dark pink and black was the unanimous choice of the student body after considering the color combinations presented by the committee. Blue vs. White Game Soon many students and the baseball team were sporting pink and black striped blazers and caps. However, problems arose when the pink faded to white after several weeks of exposure to the sun. The students then opted for blue, rather than black, and white. The official announcement of the new choice was made on March 18, 1890. USF On September 3, 2005 - The world was in shock an awe as historic PSU was defeated by BIG EAST newcomer USF!
  11. Wow, that's amazing.... maybe we will become known as Running Back U!
  12. Brandon where are you guys tailgating? Are you doing it at alumni function or your own thing? Let us know... Would be nice to meet PA Bulls....
  13. Is he eligible this year or next? If it is next year let him carry water on sidelines and play scout team ball.... I know a team player named Courtney Denson and that is what he did... In my eyes Denson did his time and now its his time to shine.... Div-II, if he was serious about this he would already be there.... Last week when this was posted about UF I said this kid is a joke if he thought he see a down at UF... Who is advising this kid--Ingram Schaffer? This kid is a Flip-Flop train wreck, give me someone with 1/2 his talent who wants to be here!
  14. I say go with Denson as I think his feet will help more than his arm! PJ lives and dies by his reads and accuracy...
  15. Hey Mozz-Man is this the case for Penn State also? Why doesn't the organization offer the shirt for 15.00 (miami game) to us old folks who are going to the game and not student bulls?
  16. Dreams can come true they can happen to you..........
  17. Green, Gold, Shirts or Towels? I hope the athletic dept. and the 1000 fans have some unity amongst the waves of Blue and white... I put my vote in for gold towels with USF in green on it waving like crazy when we enter, score, and any other time we want to fire up 109,000....
