  1. Auburn's 2004 non-conference schedule - Louisiana-Monroe, The Citadel and Louisiana Tech (all at home) Penn State's 2005 non-conference schedule - USF, Cincinnati and Central Michigan (all at home) UConn's 2006 non-conference schedule - Rhode Island, Wake Forest, Army, Navy (all at home) plus at Indiana Virginia Tech's 2006 non-conference schedule - Northeastern, Cincinnati, Southern Miss and Kent State (all at home) NC State's 2006 non-conference schedule - Appalachian State, Akron, East Carolina (all at home) plus at Southern Miss The first two went to BCS bowl games, and the latter three are all upcoming and are all worse than our current non-conference slate. Start jumping. USFFan
  2. I'd have put Dyral McMillan in as biggest transfer, if for no other reason than it really got our name out there to Florida recruits. McMillan was all set to start at fullback for Miami the next season before he transferred because he wanted to play tailback. USFFan
  3. Coupled with Pitt's 14-0 spanking of Georgetown, USF's magic number to qualify for the tournament is now 1. Go Bulls! USFFan
  4. 19-0 final - are you freaking kidding me? That is absolutely embarrassing. USFFan
  5. Chris Berman and Tom Jackson said that it was over on their final broadcast last season. USFFan
  6. Personally, I'd like to see Carlton Hill played in the same manner as Brian Fisher. He could take some direct snaps or run the occasional option like Fisher would do, has an arm capable of passing in some gadget plays and could serve as a great receiver, all while Grothe was on the field at the same time. Anybody remember when we actually had an imaginative offense? USFFan
  7. Not that I don't disagree with you, but I think this is now being abused by many.  Here's one article that discusses it: http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/story?id=1787712&page=1 Some folks are claiming learning disabilities to improve their chances of success to either get into college or even graduate schools.  I'd rather not have a physician who needed double time on his MCAT's for any reason... 8. Guys, that IS our Robert McCullum. The article is from 1995, and they hired Phil Mathews. He was there for eight seasons. USFFan
  9. Great trivia question. Using just the national championship in basketball and either the coaches or the AP poll for football, here are the teams that won both: Stanford (football 1926, basketball 1942) Cal (football 1920, basketball 1959) Ohio State (football 1942, 54, 57, 68, 2002, basketball 1960) UCLA (football 1954, basketball 1964, 65, 67-73, 75, 95) Michigan State (football 1952, 65, basketball 1979, 2000) Michigan (football 1901, 02, 32, 33, 48, 97, basketball 1989) Maryland (football 1953, basketball 2002) Syracuse (football 1959, basketball 2003) Fl*rida (football 1996, basketball 2006) Kind of interesting that the only team to win multiple titles in both football and basketball is Michigan State. I doubt many would pull that one in a bar bet... USFFan
  10. I don't know if you guys realize this, but the game's on Gametracker. Go to this link: http://www.cstv.com/media/livegame.html?school=&sport=m-basebl&interval=today and click on the "GT Live" link to follow the game. USFFan
  11. Some interesting Seth numbers: Record at Virginia Tech: 45-44 (0.506) Record at USF: 108-100 (0.519) Record at Long Beach State: 105-70 (0.600) Career record: 258-214 (0.546) Career record in NCAA tournament over 16 years: 0-2 Career record in NIT over 16 years: 1-4 One more interesting bit of trivia - Long Beach State suffered 3 consecutive losing seasons immediately after Seth left before winning 24 games in the fourth year. 12. Brad, Any chance you can post the results from the surveys? USFFan
  13. You're certainly welcome to start your own board if you think you can do better... USFFan
  14. It's great that a person who actually types "like" in his written correspondence as if he were carrying on a conversation with a teenager sees fit to correct a spelling error. USFFan
  15. FYI, Baylor is 0-2. They weren't allowed to play any non-conference games this season. USFFan
  16. I don't care whether you're a reverend, an imam or a person who thinks he's the next coming of the messiah. In writing: you effectively called me, a parent of a boy and a girl in California, a pretty horrible parent. That's like accusing every teacher in Tampa of being a pedophile or every professor at USF of being a terrorist. If you think I'm a terrible parent just because I live in California, then you can have fun playing poker with Beelzebub for all eternity. USFFan PS - I hear bad things said about groups all the time. If I repeat them, it makes me just as wrong as the person who said them to me.
  17. Nice job of stereotyping an entire state. Feel free to go to hell. USFFan
  18. I'm sure it took a pretty good chunk of change for the refs to look away on that push-off on the long pass right near our section. USFFan
  19. Greg, that's a great article, thanks! USFFan
  20. The quote is from the Orlando Sentinel, not Judy Genshaft. I think the point was that Hitt is an understated person while Genshaft is much more aggressive. USFFan
  21. I don't know if you're just trolling for responses, but Perri Hankins was not fired because they were paying her too much money. If that were the case we'd have fired Eddie Cardieri years ago. Hankins was definitely fired for cause. It was unfortunate, too, because she really did have the volleyball team doing well. USFFan
  22. When that is what we're worried about it will truly be a sad day. USFFan
  23. Eric, Thanks for all that you guys did to make it a great weekend. Any chance that video of the bull crashing through the crates is going to be available on the USF athletic department website? That thing was very well done! Thanks again, USFFan
