  1. I did a tour in the Army(Korea, Fort Ord) , three years with the USDA, plus five years with the U.S. Dept of State (embassy in Vienna for two, consulate in Casablanca for three). Finally figured I should get the college-degree ticket punched.
  2. Well...until you perfect that time machine, you have to play the teams on your schedule - regardless of whether they're having either a banner or rebuilding year. 8)
  3. USF Alumni, class of '94*. College of Business Administration, BS in MIS Alumni Association Lifetime Member ' 96 * at the ripe old age of 34. :
  4. Destroy: minimum 4 touchdown win over USF. It has nothing to do with being excited about losing, but it does have to do with a reasonable approach to this game given USF's performance thus far in the season.
  5. Exactly how far out in "the future" is this projection? We'd have to be selling +44K/game on a regular basis for any sort of expansion. I doubt the student demand is going to shift to a stable point of excess...for instance, compare student seating for homecoming vs student seating at TennTech.
  6. Just another example of "The Man" tryin' to keep a brother down.
  7. shameless, unadulterated bump. [move] :o :o :o...... :.[/move]
  8. Wellllll........let's look at it this way. If you wanna hang out in the student section - that's what you're gonna get. As for "first timers"...unless you have a ticket assigning you to a given seat, that's what you're going to contend with. The North Endzone is a place to hang out, see and be seen... Don't like it? Spring for season tix in the "hand-me-the-check-book" section of the stadium.
  9. You wouldn't mind posting "the guy"'s name on here, would you? "Connection with a coach" could be either the equipment managers room-mate or it could be the AD's secretray. No one wants to be the Dan Rather of South Florida, now do they? ....
  10. According to the Trib, his youngin' - Scott (5'7-1/2", 165 lbs....a polite way of saying 5'6", 160 lbs) - was considering a walk-on at USF (as well as ECU & Marshall) , so pop-n-son were eyeballing the Bulls.
  11. ...you were only off by 49 people. According to the Trib it was 36,549, the largest crowd in RayJ. The 'world record' for home is 49, 212 - the first game against Kentucky Weslyn at the Tampa Stadium.
  12. Defense too fast: Mis-direction, and if you can execute it , it is a handy tool. As for "bring me the head of CJL" , this is typical fan-speak. And to say that you've been disappointed in CJL coaching for the past x-amount of time, that pretty much means you've been disappointed with winning. We all love the coach when we win, hate the coach when we lose. As for 'taking the Bulls to the next level' ... exactly what would that be? Do you think we were a UM/UF/FSU that just got shunned because we were in CUSA? Un uh...for years we were a IA team masquerading as a IAA team. Then we start playing teams of our caliber and things shake out the way they should. This is a down year, the first of many (as every team has) so condiser this a good practice run for how you deal with it. Like it or not, you have to build your offensive scheme around the guys you have. You can't mold some kid into what he is not. Neither PJ/RB have the abililty of MB to make chicken soup from chicken ****. Go another route. Build your offense around what they can do...and if 'it' isn't up to snuff with the competition, oh well...those are the cards you're dealt.
  13. Well....here it is Sunday morning. Let's revisit this thread, shall we. After losing to Army, I feel we can safely say that to consider bowl opportunites, given the current level of play, is an exercise in futility. We all penciled in Army as a "W" early in the seaon. However, given last nights' adventure, I feel it safe to say that the the best we can hope - and I MEAN HOPE - for at this point is to maybe beat ECU and maybe beat Cinci. Other than that...I don't see us beating Memphis or Pitt and certinaly not L'ville on the road. 8)
  14. 1. weBLOGGER...web logger...pesudo journalist. 2. See item (1) 3. Assuming you have some measure of journalistic skill, can articulate an informed position and can actually create something someone (other than yourself) would want to read, sure......otherwise stick to bulletin boards. 4. It's the in hip thing...finally a use for the internet besides downloading porn. :
  15. A little food for thought. Your religious conviction should not be tempered with the same mentality with which you select your wardrobe. "It's not hip, no body likes it, I'm switching back". I don't think this individual knows what she wants to do, and we shouldn't rule out the feeble plea for attention. Sportsfans, we're not getting the whole story here. :
  16. We ? The Bulls chances of going to a bowl this year are pretty slim. I don't see us beating UAB or 'Cards - and Memphis could go either way. UAB beats TCU by about 21.
  17. As of today, no monkeys whatsoever. That was a great game, however, and I really was hoping the Cards could win.
  18. 1) The winner ...............................South Florida 2) The final score ......................... 31 x 24 3) Bulls total offensive yards ........ 417 4) Bulls leading receiver................ Sheffiled
  19. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that there is a disconnect between your military relationship and demand to actually come to a game to see Army. I'd say demand to see Army is about what it would be to see Pitt. Probably the best turnout this year, but not 40K.
  20. I'd say 35K. Inside the Barracks: Just because youre in the Army, doesn't mean you pull for Army. I'm sure the school is milking the MacDill tie-in for all it's worth, but when it comes to football in Florida, Army won't blow out the turnstile with pent up demand.
  21. If Louisville beats Miami....monkeys will fly out of my butt. 8)
  22. What? And run the risk of minimal views on the thread? No way... ;D
  23. Cindy & I learned a hard lesson about that sort of thing (films where teenagers are present). Unless the film is rated "R", we won't be attending the theater. Sounds like FNL may be a rental. 8)
