  1. Odds makers set lines based on where they think bettors will bet, not who they think will win or lose. The goal of an odds maker is to have 50% of the money bet on each side... as more money comes in to one side, they change the odds to get people to play the other side. In other words, odds makers predicting betting, not games.
  2. This. This is more important than anything else bowl-game related. We could play bob's college in some podunk stadium... but the extra practices are a big big reason why teams who start bowling tend to say bowling.
  3. Shotguns on 4th and 1 are just prone to more errors. Tush push... or the "Brotherly shove" is the way to go.
  4. And they have a football team (NAIA) No. 7 Football - Keiser University Athletics KUSEAHAWKS.COM The official No. 7 Football page for the Keiser University Seahawks
  5. Sorry, I don't know for sure ... but it's out on Odds Shark:
  6. I ain't skeered. Vegas likes the Bulls in this one.
  7. Apparently, it comes from rapper Young Thug. and was popularized by Deshaun Watson. Source
  8. USF is 3-2 after week5... and still ESPN's computer is not sold on the Bulls on the road. the Matchup Predictor has USF favored to win all three remaining home games BIG (60%+). It will be interesting to see where Vegas puts USF next week against UAB. UAB 52.6% - USF 47.4% USF 61.4% - FAU 38.6% USF 65.3% - U Conn 34.7% Mem 73.6% - USF 26.4% USF 79.9% - Tem 20.1% UTSA 65.5% - USF 34.5% USF 68.6% - Char 31.4% For comparison, here are the same games from before the seasons started -- showing how USF's improvement (and wins) come across. UAB 68.8% - USF 31.2% ... USF + 16.2% FAU 54.1% - USF - 45.9% ... USF + 15.5% UConn 56.3% - USF 43.7% ... USF + 21.6% Mem 77.9% - USF 22.1% ... USF +4.3% USF 60.2% - Tem 39.8% ... USF +19.7% UTSA 79.2% - USF 20.8% ... USF +13.7% USF 64.1% - Char 35.9% ... USF +4.5%
  9. Yes, that was in 2003. USF and Army were only in C-USA together for two years, both left after 2004. USF played @ Army in 2003... and Army played @ USF in 2004 ... (Army beat USF at Homecoming)
  10. That's a good definition. Sure, ND @ Wake Forest might have a SLIGHT increase in the contract, but not that much in the end... and it's a non-conference game for Wake (which is another way to indicate ND is not a "member" for football.)
  11. How do you define "a member"? I suppose if the being a member means they play a full conference slate and are eligible for the ACC CG you're right. They only play a half conference slate and are eligible for ACC bowl games... that kinda sounds like a "half member". Plus they do have a vote on football-related conference decisions.
  12. ND has an agreement to play FIVE games per season against ACC teams... so that's about half of a conference season. In exchange they also get access to the ACC bowl tie ins.
  13. It's a new contract, so there won't be a "Vote" ... it's more about a consensus. If 7 of the 9 conferences agree, but the AAC and PAC/MWC hold out, they may be left out.
