Had a great time at the Rays game with a couple thousand or so Bulls fans today. What a great ending too for the Rays. Got to say hey toย @CousinRicky too. Anyone else at the game?

No game day superstitions or rituals for me other than making sure I don't steal Jobu's rum.

Feeling a bit more optimistic for USF after the ACC's Stanford/Cal/SMU expansion option fell apart last night. Seems like USF is destined to share a conference with at least two, possibly four, of the PAC-4 schools. Also seems like USF could very well end up in a revamped ACC, possibly even by the time we're in the new OCS.ย
What USF absolutely must not do is lock itself into a GOR with some new mishmash conference. We need to keep our options open in case the remains of the ACC come calling. Even without FSU/Clemson and a few others, I anticipate the ACC will do a better job of sticking together and preserving a conference that's about as good, if not better than, the Big 12.

These are strange times for college football, so anything is possible. I assume the ACC can read the writing on the wall and is taking it seriously. Hopefully, the letters "USF" are somewhere in that writing. We'll see...

What's the gameday countdown clock at? Can't find it on the mobile site.
It's at the bottom of the mobile site for me. Keep scrolling down. Both counters are there.

Last year, I had just started at community college and I decided that USF is the school Iโd be transferring to. Because of that, I went to every home game of last season and converted 100% to green and gold.
Iโm too young to remember the glory days of the Big East, and weโve literally only won 1 game since Iโve been a fan (and it was FCS). My friends support the Gators and Noles over their own schoolโs program, which is a disgrace imo.
Anyway, thereโs definitely stuff that I am optimistic about (Goach, the OCS, etc.) but it would be huge to get out of the AAC. Hopefully some miracle will take place very soon, but I am ready to be heartbroken!
Hang in there young Bull. USF needs more new fans like yourself that can see past a few terrible seasons. You'll be carrying the torch long after most of us old heads have gone up to a better conference... er... better place , so keep looking to the future. And Go Bulls!

Just curious - what makes a particular book better on paper than an e-device?
No real criteria per se. I'll sometimes look for old physical books in used bookstores just to get that old school nostalgia. Books with graphics or pictures are also better in paper form or on a tablet.ย

the convenience of not having to have a light on was great.
FWIW, They make e-readers with a built-in backlight. Perfect for bright sun or dark rooms. Here's the B&N glowlight...ย

Sadly, I've been fully brainwashed into strictly reading the TBT on the computer ...... and I feel dirty doing it. I'm fighting like hell to not convert to e-books but I had to read one that was only available that way and ****, it was nice.
e-books are extra nice if you read them on an e-ink device like a Barnes and Noble nook or Amazon Kindle. Has the added benefit of not having a ton of dusty old books laying around. Of course, I do like paper books still, depending on the book.ย

Early 2030โs are going to be here before we know it.
Also known as my early 60s. I don't want to wait that long. Just in case, if you know what I mean...ย Carpe diem I suppose. Gotta try to enjoy what we have while we have it.

Anyone know if other AAC fan message boards have a realignment thread like this one? It'd be interesting to see what our conference mates are saying about their chances to move up.

Now you see why i always hated using the P5 term. It was something made up by the media (ESPN)
I'm with you on this (as you know). Almost every "P5" football team is "Power" in name only on the field (PINOs), regardless of how much cash they are swimming in. I'm not sure if there have been any studies proving that bigger TV contracts equals higher quality of life in an athletics program, but "P5" has always seemed like a bunch of marketing BS, just like the attempt at the "P6" branding by the AAC. After all, it's not necessarily how big your budget is, it's how you use it (that's what she said).

In other news Brett McMustache tweeted an eyes emoji last night. I think something's happening today.ย
USF to the ACC for our opening season in a brand new home stadium maybe?
I'm hoping someone posts in this thread whatever happens today if anything. Us non-Twitter people need our realignment rumors fix.

Yes you are correct to our dear bulls fans community. But even now looking back I would have to question our success. What really is success? I was there when soft White was picked six by Ben Moffitt in a packed Ray Jay, there when Maikon Bonani kicked a game winner vs Kansas, and there when Daniels started vs FSwho to upset those cocky holes. At that time I would've passionately said that this program is top notch world beater that can take anyone any place and looking back at it it's all fan green and gold goggles.
The truth is we have no hardware to truly cement our "success" in the history books, yes some small bowl wins and a runner up at the brut sunbowl award (I mention this one bc it still hurts me much to this day as this was one of our biggest failures in the national stage as two former No. 2 teams going head to head only for us to get demolished). But really we never really put that big time bow at the end of a season to claim our success to cash in. We just haven't. I'll say this once as it pains me, the boys from the east did and they did it just about every big stage chance they had in the spot light. Gross.
And MBB basketball, let's not go there, other than Stan Heath's breath smelling march madness, it has been a while since there has been continued success. WBB is the sport I will say that the proof is in the pudding, I hope we never lose Jose Fernandez he is a great coach. But sad to say that WBB is not going to be enough to carry us to the ACC/B12.
It's natural to have mixed feelings about the past and the performance of our beloved Bulls.

It's sad to see the ACC discussed like this.ย Dead conference, etc.
Agree. I guess "Power" was not the best term to use for the "P5" conferences after all. Or more specifically "5" was not really the right number to attach to the "P". Hopefully, USF can go to the ACC for a pay raise regardless of the diluted "power".

It just happened to be my birthday today and we planned a visit from my son @MDBull20 so he could go to the game this year. We got there after the second inning (daughter had a basketball game), so I guess we lucked out on the traffic. Also, we parked in Lot 1 for free. Apparently, the parking attendants tend to leave after the first couple of innings. The crowd at the end was pumped up as you might expect. As a Bulls fan it was a nice feeling to be amongst happy home fans again.
