If the B1G actually forces Nebraska to regain AAU or get booted, you have to respect them for prioritizing academics and standards for their members. Kind of like Notre Dame, I can’t stand them for their “better than thou” attitude toward independence, but at the same time I really respect that they don’t buckle to societal pressure and stay with their tradition.

I liked his take on USF developing QBs.

Probably easier to think USF is now dealing with UK one & done issues lol.
Yeah, this is all new to us but normal business for them.

Imagine a USF basketball world without Charley Bradley, Chucky Atkins, Dobras, etc. All of our historically great players would have left for "greener" pastures after 1 or 2 years if they played today. I guess there just won't be any 3 to 4 year USF greats anymore.

I am a little confused why a lot of fans think the Coach will leave
Probably because USF fans found out how awesome he is, and we are worried that the rest of college basketball figured that out too.

We're above Rice and Tulane at least.
It will be cool to see how much higher USF will climb on this chart in the coming years. The best is yet to come.

As usual, Fiutak has us as the number one expansion candidate in a new listing...

COLLEGEFOOTBALLNEWS.COMI guess the last paragraph is the kind of positive spin we can get behind?
"Also, like UNLV, consider it a positive that the school isn't amazing at both sports. It was solid last year, but it's not like bringing in, say, UConn or San Diego State on the hoops side - remember, member schools don't want to sign on for nasty games."

I wonder if he prefers Tampa or Miami Cuban sandwiches?
Seriously, though, I don't think I can even imagine USF women's hoops without Jose at the helm. Hope we don't lose him to the fighting Ibis.

Kentucky vs Oakland is what makes March Madness March Madness and I'm not so sure a first round UK vs OU draws that many more eyeballs. Maybe I'm different than most but when I'm bouncing around first weekend games for viewing, I pretty much always stop on the David vs Goliaths than the heavyweight bouts ...
I agree. The fact that every small and mid-major D1 school can dream of a Cinderella run in a sport that only needs 4 or 5 great players to win it all is what makes this tournament so amazing from a fan and money-making perspective.

SEC's NCAA flop makes Greg Sankey's push for tournament expansion look even more ridiculous
SPORTS.YAHOO.COM
The SEC commissioner wants more power conference teams in the tournament and doesn't seem to care what that means for the little guy. The problem is that those...That is thinly veiled corporate speak for the SEC needs more NCAA tournament teams so that it can make more money. And that Sankey is willing to create more access for the SEC and other power conferences at the expense of the tiny schools that make the NCAA tournament an annual can’t-miss spectacle. Between Sankey’s comments and surprise changes to the format of the NIT last October, there is palpable anxiety that this could be one of the last years that the NCAA tournament bracket looks how we’ve come to know it.
In their attempt to squeeze more and more out of it, these conferences are going to whip the golden goose to death.

It should be a fun game to watch Sunday!
Especially in a packed house. The teams seem very evenly matched statistically. Our Bulls will take care of business at home!

Unfortunately, we play in the Yuengling Center - what is that worth?
Same building. Same extra percentage.
I'm one of those old guys for whom it will always be the Sundome. I do recognize that it has a corporate sponsor though. And I do enjoy their beverages occasionally.

These predictions seem about as reliable as a relationship with Taylor Swift.

Nothing is impossible with ESPN chooses you to die.
Or if they choose for a conference to live.

I honestly don’t see the ACC going the way of the PAC12. Schools like BC, Pitt WF, Syracuse, NCST have nowhere to go, even the B12 won’t want them. I truly believe enough of them know this and will make “alliances” to keep a decent group of 6-8 schools together and rebuild with the best of the rest. It will end up being BIG/SEC as the big 2 and then B12/ACC as the next 2 then everyone else.
Also, when the PAC12 fell apart it was something that seemed impossible. I'm sure the ACC will learn from the PAC12's mistakes and will take steps to avoid the same fate, such as adding USF and others mentioned previously in this thread.
