He didn't play great the little time he was out there but I was asking why he didn't get another look late in tue 2nd half

The chemistry was flowing and Coach didn't want to mess that up I guess. I felt bad for Pryor because he definitely seemed pretty down. I'm sure he wanted to play great on national TV in front of the best home crowd yet. I'm glad Coach was smart enough to go with the guys that won the game though. Pryor will be back next game better than ever. 🀘

I am 37, and I don’t think my body would hold up from all the sports injuries. Plus, if I don’t get rest, I am ****** for the next 2 to 3 days.

I wish I had my 37 year old self to run in my weekly full court hoops games every Sunday morning. Just wait until you are in your 50s... 😁🀘

Now I'm wondering what the average age of TBP membership is. My guess is somewhere around 55. πŸ€”

Understanding the premise of the P2, but exactly what does any school have that makes them attractive? Maybe 3-5 schools have some clout, but the vast majority offer nothing substantial. Will the P2 be willing to pare the Vandy’s or Indiana’s to make room? I mean let’s face it, will the SEC cut Vandy for UNC? Will the B1G cut Indiana for FSU? Will TV make up the difference?

Yep. These are great questions. There's almost no way that ESPN and other broadcasters aren't asking the same things and trying to figure out how to deal with what they see as the dead weight.Β

    Tweet goes on to say:

    Β

"I think we all have an obligation to assess the financial realities and make the best decision based on those realities,” Preyer said. β€œThat is what the Board of Governors outlined [on Wednesday]. And if the current financial model of the Atlantic Coast Conference doesn't improve, then it would cause real concern about how Carolina could continue to maintain its excellence in athletics."

But we need action and not just words. This is a starting point, finally, coming from UNC. A lot of people out there are starting to realize the reality of the Power 2 Conferences (Big Ten and SEC) but many still fail to understand the financial differences in the coming years between the Power 2 and the rest of FBS football. Schools who will be earning $30M to $45M annually in less media rights revenue will not be able to compete successfully at the top of college sports. That is one of many reasons why there is serious talk of the Power 2 breaking away on their own. There is zero point in pretending schools that make $200M to eventually over $300M per year should be competing against schools, in football at the very least, with a lot less revenue that the majority of Big 12 and lower end ACC schools earn in revenue.

It's a gold rush out there for sure. Can ghost towns be far behind?

  5. Not saying we should be ranked, but I'm pretty sure today's team would win most (all?) of the 5 games they lost earlier this season when Coach and the team were figuring out the chemistry. I'm looking forward to seeing if they can keep this thing rolling all the way to a conference championship. 🀘

  6. Rant Alert... Not to be Captain Obvious, but the whole "P#" thing was purely a marketing ploy (ESPN) to create a de facto separate higher-level, professional college sports (a.k.a. college football) divi$ion. For most fans this was completely unnecessary because we could already see which schools were the power programs without the "P#" name. Calling them "Power" conferences and relegating others (including USF) as just a "Group" of conferences definitely stuck like a bad nickname. So the marketing ploy worked I guess. And, yes, I'm salty about it. πŸ™‚

I was also counting yesterday at the game.Β  I had him at 8 seconds every time.Β  I watched all 3 refs each time and no one was counting seconds with their arm like for an inbound 5 second watch.Β  If they are not outwardly counting in some fashion, I'm not sure they could ever call 10 seconds.Β

They were counting with their hand down by their waist. Closed fist, open fingers, etc. No arm movement though.Β

  8. Side Note on free throws... I've been counting Pryor's free throw times lately, and I watched the referees' counts closely on all his FT attempts today. Even though it seems like he's close to a 10 second violation, he's pretty consistently around 7 seconds, so he actually has 2 seconds to spare. Whatever works for him I hope he keeps doing it!

  9. One great thing about Jose's teams is that he has the luxury of depth. He doesn't recruit scrubs. All of the ladies on this year's team are very good D1 players. Otherwise, they wouldn't be on the roster.

This team is obviously not the greatest USF squad of all time, so we'll see how it all shakes out the rest of the season. I still think they can win the conference and go dancing.

(Oh, and for the record, Brito is a very good player that had a couple of bad games. Let's not judge her too harshly here. I'm sure she'll get back to being the Carla we love soon enough.) 🀘

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) has been dealing with a lot of issues over the last few months, and the legal battle between the conference and the Florida State...

    Last two paragraphs:

"If that happens, expect to see ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips on the phone with the American Conference or another Group of Five conference to merge and keep the members where the television deal is not jeopardized.

At this point, there would not be too many teams interested in a conference that's a lot closer to looking like the Pac-12 than any other Power Five conference in college football.'"

I'd hope that USF (a) would be at the top of the list and (b) would be interested.
