  1. https://missoulian.com/sports/college/big-sky-conference/university-of-montana/south-florida-qb-kirk-rygol-transfers-to-montana/html_6cff5715-3e7e-5c67-ac5d-6ec9f20eb197.html Appears that Kirk Rygol has found a home and a scholarship in GRIZZLY Country. Fantastic... Oddly, my son is in Montana right now. He was at a Walmart and wearing his USF mask my wife made for him.(he is UF) A guy came up to him and said, " Looks like we got one of your quarterbacks"... Very happy for Mr. Rygol now I'll watch some Montana football see how he does.
  2. Re: the AW cops. I'm from the old days and did work for a FL sheriff so thats a diff bag than the metro cops. Most city cops are union whereas working for a sheriff you can be fired for about anything. Nowadays, most agencies come under some form of union or bargaining entity. Old days were very different. You didnt have the overwhelming saturation coverage you have on most depts now. You were lucky to have any backup on hot calls. That makes you talk more/reason with folks instead of trying to take everybody down to the ground. If you couldnt?? then you dished out whatever it took to subdue or diffuse the situation. Yes, there were abusive cops who liked to dish it out. As imagined they were supreme jerks. In time they reached their end. Some of these guys(and gals) had bad issues. Anyway.....I remember stopping several of them when they went over the top. I have noticed that a lot of cops now have a detached tough ass manner about them. They aren't very approachable. I do think some are in the job for the wrong reason. Some work scared and some are nuts. Danger is part of the job. It would be tough to go to work scared every night. Possibly, the bad guys are more dangerous?? Younger?? Nutz?? Armed better?? I've got a niece that's a cop by Birmingham, we worry about her and pray for her safety in this insane world. Hopefully, the majority are good ones. I worked around the state on investigations and it was apparent, the bigger the department/city the worse the attitude. And that is all I got on that I think I'm outta ink....my quill is dry. Hey!! You still awake..?? zzzzzzzzzZZZZZZ
  3. Amazing to have the death of this man come back and have ties in Florida. Read the article about him. Tragic set of events took a young man that people thought highly of to, dying on the street at the hands of an "overly aggressive cop". It takes quite a while to weed out bad cops from a department. Problem is, they can cause a lot of damage in the meantime. Sad ending for Mr. Floyd. It's good his life had positive high points and he left some folks behind that he obviously touched in a positive way. And, there we go again that "South Florida" moniker coming back to haunt us. Congrats to your daughter on her accomplishment. Now she can go forth and conquer...
  4. AhHa..! See they "got ya" with their fake lead ... Seriously, it is pitiful how the media/staff's are no longer accountable for anything they present as news or fact. Sometimes but not often they get caught in a bold faced, self-serving lie it is followed by..."Oh golly sorry". In a way it's the slow brainwashing of the population. I like to go to several sources and then match up the content just to see how it is all bent. Very sad/concerning how lying permeates society at any and all levels. Imagine it is very tough being a parent these days if you strive to raise your kid right. You see the story about the young people helping cleanup the looting aftermath it makes you feel good and instills some hope. Then again, the positive stories don't seem to garner much media interest...
  5. "1 Person Shot On Campus" there you go a sensationalized headline "clickbait". Fake News It's crazy nowadays, that a large percentage of the population get their news by the "headline" or the first 2-3 lines. A paragraph if their a voracious reader :-] Obviously many here actually read the news story. As for the rioting, looting, violence....time to come down on these folks with a very very heavy hand. Give the valid protestors a few warnings/deadline to beat feet or else......hopefully little billy and sally who are just there to get a selfie will heed the warning..
  6. Nice example showing...not all young folks are lawless jerks, looters and criminals. You can only hope and pray these young people are an example of the majority. Very commendable...Very nice to see a USF player involved.
  7. I'm thinking...full wetsuit w/ gloves and booties. full face mask w/ umbilical to air compressor you'll prob be ok?? pinkeye? prob those little kids their notorious carriers..cant trust those little suckers they'll get ya! Warning: if you see a BabyRuth candy bar floating in the pool---DO NOT eat it!! Otherwise, enjoy your time in the pool.
  8. read something on pools vs urine in the water relating to the bacteria that the chlorine doesn't kill off. 1/2hour a day..? remember the shrivel factor
  9. Our community pool opened last weekend but, I'm more hesitant getting into water that old folks have peed in than catching the bug...
  10. Appears Iowa State has provided a look into what they are thinking about for their season. Half the stadium utilized. Priority given to season ticket holders and boosters. Obviously there will be room for distancing. Of course, picture the restroom at half time etc. probably need to limit people from standing shoulder to shoulder peeing in the sinks, etc. Their AD says start the season this way see how it goes make adjustments as needed. No single game tickets sold unless down the road things start to clear up. For us? 15-20k attendance in RJS prob doable. Beer sales? maybe not a thing for a while it can bring the fool out of some folks.
  11. Glad for BJ on the next phase of his life. I'm sure he made a few $$ in the NFL even though he only saw limited action. Super Bowl teams = player bonuses play or not. Imagine if he was smart with his money he has some financial pad. To bad the XFL folded amid the plague he was doing well. Appears he was the qb coach the past couple years at a high school prior to getting the HC nod from his old high school. Lucky kids they will have a good mentor. Someone from their school who went on to excel at USF then went to the NFL. Leon HS may end up a good recruiting conduit to USF?? BJ Daniels is a good one wish him well
  12. Ha! Now i'm worried about you CR since you like the way I think...maybe they will get you some treatment for that.? Nice and, admirable that you do the Iron Bull level. I'm sure donations to USF are utilized and appreciated at any level however, they need the heavy hitters to propel things forward rapidly. Good for you folks for doing that..
  13. Ok your probably not going to go for this right off the bat but......USF sells advertising on the players uniforms??? Kinda like Nascar. Advertiser patches all over their jerseys...$100 a patch per game....Player could prob get 10-12 patches on his jersey and you could still see his number and logo's, etc..Now before you boohoo it sleep on it.??? Might get traction. Actually, I read that article and got the impulse to go in and pay my 2020 Bull's Club dues. I'll shoot them a little more later. Kinda like pissing on a forest fire but hey! It's $$$
  14. Well the hell with that idea then....Thanks a lot Dream Killer. Hey Honey...could you please bring me another shot of Jameson for my coffee, I need to think up some more ideas for TBP
  15. Dont know if this is a possibility or not? Just something my wife and I were talking about re: football/bball games. If the fans in the stands were reduced to allow for distancing kinda like the NBA is talking about. Basically, you would be shown to your seats. Probably be the season ticket holders and students shown preference. Then show X number of games on Pay Per View set-up. I know we would be in to pay $30-40.00 a view on tv if.....USF(AAC) was receiving expanded $$ from ESPN(on top of current contract) from the PPV receipts. Wonder if that would help offset some of the other lost revenue??? Of course, a plan for the short term(1-2 seasons) then?? And that thought would be a talking over morning coffee moment. We will prob come up with some ideas tomorrow to cure the climate and the pandemic?? ..
  16. You are correct in your assumption...I did not take mr. puc serious thus, my nonsensical response. Your not dense by any means maybe just to literal?? If puc said he was on fire I would first need a visual to see if he was really on fire or...he meant he was just in a very hot moment. No slams to puc. However, his mythical meandering about the "girlfriend" may?? hold something of a subconscious nature like: his wife has a hot girlfriend????? Hmmm..? And then again, he is just screwing around...being puc All in all just grab fun where you can find it.
  17. I think there is a coupon out there for.. 2 for1, buy one get one, counseling...May have been at Publix but what the hell might as well eat, shop and get some therapy all at once. Probably just victims of the cooped-up syndrome CUS it's been going around. Oh and...Best of Luck to you guys on the "asking the wife if you can have a girlfriend".. I'm thinking it could be a non- issue???? It's probably at a higher level than telling the spouse to Calm Down...! Oh well, Live and Learn. Remember, bruises and scars are just Life's Tattoo's...
  18. Ha!! Forgot about that movie..Go Armadillos!! I guess KI really can play "Foot----Ball" Puc you are a fount of knowledge and apparently, movie trivia
  19. Here you go a picture is worth a thousand words...She doesn't list kicker in her resume sorry.
  20. Ha! prob was for sure for his woman friend...maybe not so much for a young'un of newer vintage.
  21. Good size guy with experience. Funny, wonder if they were trying for a Mitch Wilcox lookalike?? Obviously, the staff see needs and are trying to fill and build an out of the gate team. Prob want to be competitive at the get go..(year 1) and build on the younger guys at the same time. I'm hoping it works. After our past 2 years walking thru football hell I'm ready to see some quality play and WINS
  22. Funny....those hazy crazy younger days....You prob were hopefully humming the song, "And here's to you Mrs Robinson"
