    BC’s qb is pretty good. USF vs Miami thanksgiving weekend would be great. Getting into the ACC would be great. UConn could be our new Halloween weekend rival. The universe would be right again. Might not be the most popular opinion, but when we get back in the big boy leagues we should schedule the school to the east every couple seasons. That matchup isn’t something we should shun or skirt. Let it develop or run its course. Once we get into a better position we can figure things out, but in the meantime that game draws fans and we need games that boost attendance.

    Hopefully these guys are ready to send off our seniors in style. Cap this historic turnaround by getting us a bowl birth and letting our graduating guys get one more shot at glory.

    Thanks for the insight and update. Sounds like the team fell in love with the shot they could not make. Coaches need to remind players to get into the flow of the game and hit shots from around the floor to get going. Especially if “their spot” isn’t falling for them. Defense sounds like an issue. If you have size you need to position and direct your opponent on the floor. Speed can hurt, but with the right scheme you can mitigate some of that pain. Also, dominating the boards should help. Hopefully they figure out what they want to run and how to utilize the players we have.

    We probably need to do both. Pay him more and up the buyout, if we reset his contract and move up. Big programs will throw crazy money at him and as much as we want to keep a good coach we need to be able to replace them if need be.

    We have bigs? I think we only have one center on our roster, and full disclosure I did look at the size of our other guys. I haven’t followed basketball in a couple seasons. For some reason I feel like basketball might take longer to get there, despite only needing a couple good players to turn things around.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hopefully everyone can take a moment today to pause and reflect on all the things both large and small that we can be thankful for. Being a Bulls fan teaches us a lot. A couple of the biggest takeaways are how to be resilient and self care. I hope everyone has a great holiday and stays safe.

    This is exciting and disturbing at the same time. Also a bit sad. It’s great that he got us out of the abyss, but it’s mind boggling how bad that stretch has been. Our climb continues and hopefully we will become bowl eligible by getting a win on Saturday. Here’s to better days ahead!

    I think there is a lot of bias in the system. I don’t think breaking away will solve anything. It will only lead to more fracturing as the big boys want more and everyone else is forced to compete with less. They need something based on data, fairness, and that creates more competition. I can see schools dropping out of some sports if things continue down this path. Disney (ABC & ESPN) and CBS have/had vested interest in the SEC doing well. Money driving things makes it easy to spot why they’re so over focused on and over hyped. They get a lot of resources. The playing field will only get more vertical for schools if this stuff continues. Saturday will be become more like Sunday and there will be less of a reason to tune in.

    I would like to think we do, but who knows. I feel like the other Florida team or a Texas team would’ve been more fitting. We lost our Halloween rival and turkey weekend in state game in one fell swoop.

    The name of the opponent isn’t a draw. I’m not sure why we placed them at the end of the schedule, but in a way it worked out. We are in a position play our way into a bowl, so at least we got that going for us
