  1. Our Strength of Schedule is 94th in the nation. We are ranked 7th in TFLs which to me means that our players can make plays. Todd Orlando's play calling sucks!
  2. My goals for this defense: Original – 25-30 sacks, 85+ TFLs (On Track), and 10 INTs Updated with the last 3 games - 22-25sacks, 85+ TFLs (On Track), and 7 INTs this year. I'll be happy to just reach 20 sacks this year. As for TFLs, we are still on track for 85+ and can even get to 90 TFLs and 7-8 ints. I would like for us to improve from last year. 3. Unpopular Opinion: I feel we need to fire Todd Orlando and pay whatever we can to Brian-Jean Marie. I stand by that CJS and CAG should have hired him. It’s about time you guys “put some respect of his name” LOL I broke down his numbers when he was our DC. I also listed our total defensive ranking since he left. Last, I put him against Tom Allen and his “land sharks”. I compared his lone year at USF to BJM 1st year at USF. And in my eyes, BJM is BETTER than Tom Allen!!! I just don't understand the lack of love for this man. CCS sucked, but BJM has a bright future. BJM is severely slept on as a defensive coordinator and I feel the numbers can speak for itself! Golesh needs to make it happen! Notes: 1. BJM brought our defense from a 120th ranking to 37th in his first year. He did go to 104th but lowered it to 71st his last year. That means we were trending up in our rankings when he left. 2. Look at our defenses after him....nuff' said 3. After USF he was part of a defensive staff for a defense ranked #1. He has experience with elite defenses 4. He is a top-notch recruiter so he probably would have gotten us or can get better talent. BJM having Florida ties is helpful. Plenty of accolades on that end and plenty of NFL players he developed. 5. Look at Tennessee. He is part of a staff that coaches a group that has gotten better every year. record. 4. At this point its safe to say I redeemed myself from My Brett Kean days.
  5. Golesh should have taken BJM with him from Tennessee. I feel his biggest mistake was not keeping our offensive line coach and giving BJM another shot as a DC. Brian Jean-Mary - Linebackers - Staff Directory UTSPORTS.COM Follow @luc_brian updated June 2023 Brian Jean-Mary, a 23-year...
  6. We definitely need some cornerbacks, safeties and DBs. I like the defensive line but with Ross and Logan graduating its time to restock. Maybe a new cornerback and safeties coach.
  7. Question.....did you expect us to win this game? If not be happy we only loss by 9pts.
  8. You can check the stats. We had plenty of sacks, tfls and QB hurries. The secondary was getting burt immediately.
  9. We are 5th in the nation in tfls and got 2 sacks. We also held them to 139 rushing. The defensive line is ok, the secondary is bad.
  10. NO MORE BLITZES!!!! We need err'body available to defend the pass. Maybe go man to man on 3rd downs. Other than that the offense is playing well despite bad play calling.
  11. You know what? I apologize. You have every right to have no faith in your team. So in support of you, I shall say this..... "The USF football team sucks a$$ and we are not going to a bowl game" Have a great weekend my friend
  12. Since you are using the past to downplay our team. North Texas just put up 591 yards of offense on Memphis last week. The same North Texas that lost to FIU. I expect us to win 2-3 of our remaining games. We have the talent and ability, we just need to play beter.
  13. He's having a good year. It would have been nice if they were cleared for a bowl game for his last year playing football, but he is still having the best year of his college football career. What's sad is that I thought Dollison was going to put up big numbers at JMU since he played well at USF. He hasn't done much.
  14. I was looking back at a friendly bet @Bull Dozer (RIP) and I made in 2019. Technically I won the bet b/c he was a starter last year.....well for the last 2 games
  15. They are ranked 86th in rushing defense and 83rd in passing yards allowed. While they have a better passing defense than we have, it shows that they can be scored on. North Texas put up 591 yards of offense on them.

  17. I just wanted to look at the overall remainder of the season. There are 4 teams left and I looked up their offensive and defensive rankings. Obviously, there are more metrics that determine the outcome, but I just wanted to look at this from a high level. Besides UTSA, we are not facing world-beater defenses. From the Army game, I saw, even UTSA can be scored on. 2 of our remaining 4 teams are having offensive struggles 2 of our remaining 4 teams are struggling defensively. (Sadly so are we) Charlotte was a big surprise at 45th. I am not sure how they are ranked so high, but they held a few teams under 25 pts including UF. We are definitely more evenly matched with Memphis than it seems. Bowl game or bust! Go Bulls!!! 19. They also beat UTSA one of the top teams in the AAC and the team what everybody including yourself has listed as a loss.
